Your video just popped up on our feed! You guys did a great job of capturing the Rally. Cindy and I were at 14:24 as panelists on the Boondocking Seminar...

Thank you! We enjoyed meeting you. The boondocking seminar was terrific. The International rally was so much fun. There was so much to do that we couldn't possibly get to it all! As it was, we were busy all day every day. I can't imagine how busy you guys were as vendor hosts and presenters.

You ABSOLUTELY need to go to one! This video doesn't capture it all. My husband didn't get any video of the sessions that he attended. There is so much to do and so many great people to meet. You can learn a lot and party a lot or not. It was a blast!!

International Rally looks like fun. We are signed up for next year (first timers) so can't wait! Is that a Truma Aqua go Comfort I see on the side of your Airstream? How do you like it? Did you install it yourself? Share whatever you can or will about it please. We went from a 2007 23D International with 6 gal WH and when we recently got our new 2024 FC 27 FBT with the Girard WH, oh my my! we hate that WH. I have looked at several mods to try and make up for the deficiency, but it looks like we may be getting a Truma.
Well anyway I liked the video very much, subscribed and going to take a look at what you're up to. Take care and see you on the road!

The International Rally was amazing and sometimes almost overwhelming with so much to do. You will love it.
YES that is a Truma AquaGo Comfort. We gave up on the Girard after just a few months of loathing. It was spectacularly unsuited for all types of camping (cold weather, hot weather, full hookup, boondocking). We had the Truma installed by a Truma technician at a campground near Austin (he came to us) so we get full warranty. It has been pretty much perfect in every condition. It's probably the second best upgrade we've done (Victron whole-house inverter is of course number 1).
Our installer recommended leaving the remote switch unhooked and we agreed. He ran the wire and left the remote on the floor inside the cabinet under the sink so we can plug it in and put it in cleaning mode. That's the only thing we use the remote for. Otherwise switching between ECO and Comfort (what we call boondocking mode) we just do using the power switch outside. We almost never switch it so the remote really wouldn't add anything. His reason: "in freezing conditions it is easier because [without the dial] if you have a short loss of power the unit will automatically come back on when the power does. So your built in freeze protection will also come on. With the dial it has to be manually turned back on and if the power glitch is in the middle of the night you might not even notice it, but have lost power and freeze protection in the most critical and usually coldest time." It's hard to argue with that logic and we truly would only use the remote 3 or 4 times a year anyway.

@bestdayeverwithwally8659 Thank you so much for the response and especially the freeze protection logic. 👍 I will definitely use that because all I want is comfort. It's a shame that Airstream doesn't get that. 😃 Be safe on the road!
