That was a real loaf of bread by the way, they tried to make a fake one out of wood but Lucy didn't like the way it looked. So they got the baker down the road to bake it, after the show was over they sliced it and all the audience had a piece. Can you imagine eating a piece of television history?
Never fails to entertain. Wasn't about politics, or trying to teach us something. Just wanted us to laugh, which we do from the 1950s to forever. What a blessing all these people were!
Impressive content, I Love Lucy. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your video. Keep up the fantastic work. The comedic timing in this baking chaos was brilliant! How do you think physical comedy plays a role in making everyday tasks more entertaining for the audience?

That was real
Lol 😂 the best comedy still better than anything today.
That was just as funny as when Lucy and Ethel worked in a candy factory who remembers that one 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Their mouths stuffed full of candy! 😂😂😂

Miss them so dearly these days! No propaganda, no crudeness just laughter!
I love that you can hear Desi laughing behind the camera 😂
I love how misshapen it is on the pan then it comes out perfectly shaped. Love Lucy😊
And it had to have extended through the back of the oven and through the wall! One of the few times they stretched credulity.
Of all I Love Lucy shows, this one still remains my #1 favorite!
This bread episode cracked me up as a kid. 😅😅😅
One..happy little loaf!!!
I recently watched an episode of "All in the Family" from 1970s. It seemed ancient and creaky. But this show, from early 1950s is fresh as a daisy!
Doc, is that you?
My favorite is when Lucy does a commercial about "VITAMEATAVEGEMIN" and gets drunk doing the commercial.
Do you pop out at parties? Are you unpoopular?😅
Lucy Lucy what were you thinking
poor things! LOL
One big, long loaf of bread😮😊
Ethel! Watch my legs!😂

And the best voted.... Vitameatavegemin episode. Also, look up the one where Lucy gets a job. Hilarious. The whole thing.
😂😅❤🎉❤😅😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
God how did Ricky eat everyday? They must have eaten out a lot. Can't Lucy do anything right at all? What kind of a 1950s housewife was she?
never cared for that bit. what made the show funny was that it was always somewhat grounded in reality. the giant bread was a little cartoony for me.
They removed the counter in front too.
I hope you're kidding. The show had a very casual relationship with reality, but whatever helps being funny is what's important.
