    This is the best critique of Renn's hypothesis I've heard. I hope he takes this into account.

    Yes - good points. The observation that everyone lives in a negative world is a good one - worth thinking through in terms of consequences. Thanks for this 👍

    I wonder what your prognosis is of the future impact of the Internet. The reason I ask is that it seems to me that social media has peaked. Since around 2017 or so, and especially since January 6th, the social media has been increasingly replaced by chat groups and until Musk took over Twitter, there were many who moved over to places like Gettr. Do you see the internet culture moving to some extent back towards the pre-social media culture?
