Most jobs where I live only offer $13 /hr. Rent for a 1 bedroom is over $1000 a month. Prices are too high so we're living in poverty no matter what. - so to people like me, the economy "statistically doing better" means nothing. It's actually insulting to constantly hear the news suggesting otherwise. Journalists should consider approaching the heads of these supermarkets and grocery stores to put pressure on them to answer why they are choosing to be greedy corporate conglomerates.
