I spent 10 days investigating modern Britain, speaking to people across classes and professions to uncover the truth. What I discovered was beyond anything I expected. This trip broke a lot of myths I had about developed economies. Through conversations with everyone from bankers to struggling NHS nurses, I uncovered how even the world's richest places can fall apart.
Whether you're curious about global economics or considering moving to the UK, this video reveals the good, the bad, and the ugly of a former empire's transformation.

British Governer Curzon, in 1901, had famously said, “As long as we rule India we are the greatest power in the world. If we lose it, we shall drop straightaway to a third-rate power.

Then he should have treated the people there more as equals (even though some of them might not have been). Gandhi's first dream was to make India a partner in the British Empire. He even helped them during WWI. But white arrogance made that impossible.

Before conquering india(after fighting wars for period of around 90 years)...... Britain was considered weaker power than France and Spain, portugal(who were ruling the seas for centuries).
It was steam engine, industrialization and India that made UK strongest power in world.

It's not 100 percent effective but I do believe they have a positive effect. Also we have done a "adopt a road" program where companies would have their employees as a public service clean the road of trash. I am hoping that technology will help soon and it already does to a certain extent with machines that clear parking lots of trash.

The portrayal of the UK economy is often carefully curated by the media and government, with certain realities remaining obscured from public view. A key strategy employed is the use of distraction tactics, where media coverage focuses on highlighting issues in other nations, often in a selective and skewed manner.
India, for example, is frequently depicted through a narrow lens that emphasizes poverty while overlooking its significant advancements. Reports may focus on a single slum while discussing national elections, or highlight incidents such as 60 fatalities at a large religious gathering without providing the full context-such as the 250 million people in attendance. Meanwhile, similar incidents in Western countries, like casualties at a football match with 80,000 spectators, are reported with proportionate context, avoiding undue generalization.
This selective narrative extends beyond mere reporting; it reflects a broader Western perspective that historically benefited from wealth extracted from Eastern nations. However, what is often overlooked is that these regions were prosperous for thousands of years due to strong work ethic, deep-rooted family values, and a well-established social and economic framework. Today, as these nations continue to develop, their progress is often underreported in favor of maintaining outdated perceptions. I do love the UK as I live here, but the minset of the British is too defeatist. They do not want to do things for themselves. That is why Indians make a success of buisness, study and just are inspired to make a better life. Go look at Indians in any part of the world, yet intigrating and assimilating to the local culture. That is who we are.

Thanks, I am having to move back to India due to some circumstances and I was feeling absolutely gutted about leaving the UK. I was in love with the diversity of people and the small comforts that come with being here, comforts that wouldn't exist in India.
But this video made me feel somewhat optimistic for India's future and makes me feel like moving back might not be such a bad thing after all. I am an extremely nihilistic person about India's future but this is the first video that has restored my hope by a bit.

Hey, just a suggestion to consider, but I think when you are talking, the background music should be at a lower volume. People would want to hear the presenter more than they want to hear the music.

A correction at 10:49, yes the taxes are high but over 50,000 40% tax isn’t charged on the entire amount. Its a progressive tax which means any income above 50k is taxed at 40%. Up until 49,999 it is still 20% excluding personal allowance which is still 10% less than India for a comparable income

India stands as India because of British rule or else there would be at least 20 countries within India fighting each other. So don’t blame the past and stupid karma.

There is a mathematical function called as a Sine function. If you create a wave equation out of it, is called as Sine wave. It has troughs and crests and in between them two zero. Developed economies are moving towards one of the zero and then towards trough. India had its peak in 3rd4th century.

And the UK is not corrupt? You spend over 100 billion on a train system that reduces train time by 20 minutes, you have a garden bridge never built yest spend 75 million, you have ministers that pay their families to supply disease protection during covid. Do not hide behind a veil and think Britain is not corrupt. This went on for years. How did India have it's empire of loot and wealth, by corruption and deception.
