All candidates from the 2020 mob vote came from spin offs first. The vote was deciding what spin off mob to bring into the main game, so the glow squid moobloom and iceologer were already a thing before the vote was even announced. Also the biome vote mobs are kind of a different category, since the vote wasn’t about what would be added but what future features had the most priority from fans, so all of the biome vote features are planned to come eventually.

Technically the Great Hunger was added in through the grindstone since it would've performed the same function of removing enchantments.
That's not what the Great Hunger did? It removed enchantments and also added enchants and curses onto items at the same time
That's like saying 1.19 did deliver on fireflies because they added a new light block. The Great Hunger is a lizard, not a rock.

The Wildfire was a statue in the Nether Fortress level in Flames of the Nether dlc, then added as a semi boss when the Luminous Nights season started. Goats were added to Minecraft Dungeons (Howling Peaks) in March 2020, then added to Minecraft when Cave's and Cliffs Part 1 got added in June. You were right about the Vulture, for those who don't know, the shadow of the Vulture can be seen in Cacti Canyon.
Goats were only added to MC Dungeons because they were already announced to be added to the base game.

I actually might get adding in archeology when that comes out. Ulraf (the main person working on it) said the Copper Golem might have a place in archeology. But it isn't 100% confirmed.

I remember the 2017 mob vote almost everyone said "we dont need another nether mob we already have a decent amount, we need a new overworld mob because we only have a little so vote the phantom!" (btw i only heard this on MY school alot of them was agreeing)
They weren't exactly wrong. At that point the overworld wasn't a challenge and people didn't need to sleep at all, the nether was still plenty challenging as a result of the terrain and the mobs that were there, since then they updated the nether to add more danger to the end and new generations

Many of the losing mobs became part of a DLC
The mobs in the mob votes weren't added to spin offs. They came from the spin offs. Also, the frog, fox, goat and vulture were from the BIOME votes. In the biome votes, loser mobs get added later.

Phantoms and Glowsquid? We have failed as a gaming community.
The Glow Squid and the Moobloom originated from Minecraft Earth and were candidates for the mob vote because Minecraft Earth was discontinued in 2020. The Iceologer first appeared in Creeping Winters and was adapted for main Minecraft just enough to make it to the mob vote line up
Let's just all agree with that we all want to see iceologers in minecraft, specially together with illusioners
