I just bought a 2022 Heritage Classic and looked into having the dealership install an engine guard, saddlebag guard, sissy bar and a luggage rack. Their charge for the labor was well over $400.00. But thanks to your helpful videos, I saved the $400.00 + and spent it on accessories that I can now install myself. Thank you, excellent video!!
Excellent and detailed instruction. You findly showed my how to do it after I looks at many other videos. - Your was the best- great lighting and perfect details. Thanks,
I can't thank you enuff! You must have saved me 3 days of aggravation!! I thought it was going to be so simple, 3 bolts, right? Not so simple, even for a pro, like you.... Hoping to learn much more from you.
A tip for removing the plugs: i heated the tip of a flathead screwdriver and pushed it into the flat side of the plug. I was then able to just screw it out
Sorry to hear that. It's been a while since i did this but do not remember having that problem. Hopefully you'll find a way to get it. Thanks for watching.
Yea I’m having the same issues getting the center one started. Gonna try again today. You were the only video that started at the bottom which now watching makes more sense and is gonna help control the bar better. Everyone else swears to start with the top center because of fitment issues. @@truckstomotorcycleswithtom3197
Thanks for your comment. I'm getting there.. trying not to... I have a Street Glide I've done that with... afraid to total it up... it's an addiction that I love though...
That top bolt is crazy. The back nut is extremely hard to get to and I tried today and as I was trying to hang onto that back nut while blindly trying to turn the front bolt, I ended up stripping the bolt head. I have the engine guard on and it seems tight and not moving around but that top bolt isn’t tightened completely down. It needs a few more turns and then torqued down. Wondering if it will be okay if I just leave it the way it is. Anyone have thoughts on this?
Yea, that bolt in the back was in a tight area. Maybe see if you can get vice grips on both sides and get it on a little tighter, or remove and replace the bolt.
@@truckstomotorcycleswithtom3197 I ordered a long nose vice grips and a pair of long nose pliers today to hopefully help me tighten them down a tad more. I think if I can tighten it down and then torque the two bottom bolts that it shouldn’t go anywhere. It’s pretty tight now but that too bolt definitely needs a few more turns. Thanks for you advice and your video. It was very informative and helped a lot.
