You should do this, but give the enemies acces to a hundred troops aswel. You could have awesome giant battlefields.

I think you should unlock 6 Archers per "base" captured during the fight. So if you start at a base, thats 6 archer slots. Steal another base that is another 6 archer slots. But if one of those bases gets stolen, you may lose the archers stationed at that base, but you still have 12 archer slots, allowing you to fortify your remaining base with more men.
For mobile units, its 3 per flag, and maybe 5 per base? Like in Baron's video it is 3 bases (10 mobile unit slots), and 4 flags (12 mobile unit slots). Since the games are 30min, too many units will just take longer.

The Capital of his kingdom was Alesia, placed in nowadays Burgundy, or Bourgogne (where the snails we eat are from haha) , in France. Baron just literally summon a whole horde of troops. It actually caught me by surprised since I didnt know that the clip changed quickly.
Video Idea: Win a game of ShieldWall as the Romans, but you cannot upgrade no matter what except to increase the unit limit. Everything else is unavailable.

games like these makes me wonder how ancient battlefields looked like after two massive armies clashed. Like are the dead piled high and fighting is just around them?
No. Casualties weren’t usually thst high during the actual engagements.
@@jimmybobby4824 but during clashes that take place in smaller areas? I mean here we see only a few dozen fighting and the corpse density is pretty big
Because it's a game where the AI & the player usually choose to fight to the death. An actual good commander likely wouldn't choose to make a stand where they know they're going to lose or have a large disadvantage, unless thry were forced to
I'm not an expert, but I wouldn't find it surprising if death counts were far lower than what we would expect on average
@@wote2760 Yeah but you are not understanding, in Ancient warfare casualties were minor, it was more about pushing back and taking ground or trying to flank, when this starts to happen the other side would break and runaway, that is when the majority die
Read Marius mules, its based on Caesars Gallic campaign and give quite an accurate description of some of his battles all be it from the view point of a fiction protagonist much like Sharpe and the Napoleonic wars. but yea, usually the dead or injured were pull back through the lines by the mates, those that weren't so lucky fell between the lines and were trampled underfoot, depending on how disparate the fighting and how long its gone on for, you'd have a tide line 2 or 3 bodies high or just dead men held up right in a crush of bodies once the lines tire and they just start to push at each other.
Besides its not the look of the battle field that would be the problem, its the smell. all that blood, urine and faeces from 100s dead mean voiding their bowls, body parts and insides that are now outsides.. think slasher movie x1000

If you're still modding, you need engineers. One of the things that made Rome dangerous was the ability to quickly throw up fortifications.
For a mod you should add naval battles or amphibians landing

Bit of trivia, giving no quarter relates to quartering soldiers (ie having them live in your house) rather than the currency. Essentially you are saying you will no house any enemy soldiers so you are taking no prisoners.

Idea: Get so many troops and then fire your pilum and increase the soldiers by 50 each time until you block out the sun

Could you imagine a mount and blade bannerlord game mode (or mod) where it’s this kind of gameplay. Almost like commander battles but you capture points, can spawn defenders, have soldiers follow you. Big map with lots of flags etc

If I'd to suggest any mod My Urge to make A Star wars based Mod is huge and you could use different main Characters as generals and just hand everyone Lightsabres

@@Baron they counted the servants as people, as logisticaly they still had to be fed and housed, but they were non combatants. And no problem, your content is awesome
ok although this game looks good in concept its annoyin in that the transvers crested helmet was that of the centurion, not the standard barer they had either a wolf head and pelts, or lions depending on the legion on there helmets, also a basic roman combat unit was a century of 80 men.
Both the commander and standard bearer counting toward the soldier limit bugs the hell out of me. Especially when you have to unlock the standard but it still reserves a spot.

Baron you must download this game called grow empire Rome it’s an excellent game that you can get on mobile and pc and in the game you must defend your castle from all of the Romans enemies and you can upgrade all of your soldiers and when you upgrade your units to a certain level you unlock new soldiers and you can also upgrade your castle your castle defence so you must download this game

6:54 somehow a Roman Centurion actually commanded 80 troops and not 100 for whatever reason
It was because the Centurion commanded 80 soldiers but had 20 non-combatants under his supervision as well.
