Oh it was, we would definitely like to spend more time in Norway, especially go further north. Heating on Squalo is a must! Patrick is sooo hooked on sailing, we may even be able to convince him to get himself a boat!! 😁

She may be seaworthy but I’d never attempt to cross an ocean with only a tiller arm ….. no wheel means no auto steer ….. not a good combination…… great for a weekender or day sailing. And yes I have experience
The boat was bought for a different purpose, we didn’t plan to cross an ocean even though she is capable, but anyway that’s not the point. If you look closely though, she has both the self steering windvane as well as the tiller autopilot. As an experienced sailor you probably know that a much bigger problem on a boat this size is the amount of water and food you can take on board rather than whether or not you have the “auto steer”. I can assure you there are lots of sailors out there that sail and cross oceans on a boat with a tiller. Thanks for your comment, Ziggy

We are also very fascinated with sailing the higher latitudes 🤩 there are so many places we want to see. I have watched some of their videos. Look fantastic!
I agree, what we also noticed is that for some reason if you buy a boat not only from Swedes but in general from Scandinavian countries, you will get a boat that’s usually well looked after in comparison to the boats here in the UK, which are more often than not very much dilapidated. But then again upon visiting Norway (and long time ago when I visited Sweden as a teenager) i cannot help but notice that everything there is so clean and in order. 🤩 It’s totally different mindset.
Your story telling and editing technics are really improving and so is your shot composition. You have some great footage in there. What camera do you use when not the GoPro? It looks great inside the boat during lunch

Swedish boats are just great quality. Marieholm is no exception.

@@sailingsqualo well, they usually are expensive boats compared to most others, so the owners may put more effort into maintenance.
