Nice video! That thing rocks! It was nice seeing how quickly it was moving you across the water. Hoping you really enjoy it. I know there's a few things you have to do, but it's great! Thanks for sharing. As always, #RJMFishtales rocks!!!
Great video man. 5 mph is all i really want outta my kayak. If I leave the cart wheels attached, that's about what I get with the nk180. That pedal steering though is next level. I'm super jealous
Thank you. Yes you cannot do the Torqeedo any other way then foot control. At least the 1103. Too strong. The 403 you could probably get away with a rider as it’s only one horse power. This motor has I think 112 foot pound thrust. It’s definitely strong. Don’t be jealous. Just get one!! Sell some stuff. I sold my kidney 😳😂
If you fish salt water ever do not get the NK-300. Inside intel from iCAST and the NK is only stainless steel coated inside and will rust out and have issues down the line fyi. Newport since they are a bigger company they basically copied the Torqeedo almost to a tee. But Torqeedo waste money to sue them. But if you stick to fresh only you should be ok.
@jimmywallhanger8402 it’s a whole setup/system you get from them with the steering cable and their version of Torqeedo mount. The mount that comes with Torqeedo is useless with the system. I have the install video of it on my channel with part numbers etc. It may be at the end of this video as well as one of the next videos. I will find it and drop link in comments
I’ve been wanting to save up for either a Xi3 or a stern mount motor. I really can’t decide though. The thought of having spot lock is really a cool thing.
A lot of people i know have the i3. The Torqeedo is a bit faster. But you will be happy with the spot lock for sure. It really all depends where you fish and what you fish for. You will be happy either way.
@jimmywallhanger8402 yea the i3 is cool especially with spot lock but I could pedal my Hobie over 4mph. I know people say the i3 is not that fast. Still cool though.
Thank you. I am wearing the Garmin Instinct watch. It’s a mix between a standard, smart and tactical watch. I use it for barometric pressure and other items like that.
They are comparable if not the same. Nucanoe might have a slight edge over the Hobie due to be 3 inches wider. I own both and jump and stand on them both the same. It all depends on what options you want etc. I like both but like the Nucanoe a bit better because it’s just a piece of plastic with less moving parts to break. No drives, cables etc. Nucanoe has better customer service and warranty. It’s your call. But any other questions do not hesitate to reach out.
Man what a great review. I think 5 mph is pretty good man. I like how the boat was still pretty much dry. That is good that you have a enough leg space. Question how comfortable were the foot control? I forgot what you said about them. Do you think they are wide enough for my foot to use? I would not mind having a setup like that man. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing it.
The foot control is comfortable. It’s only on one side which I like. It’s padded and no matter how wide your foot is you can use it. Thanks for the comment. Catch you next time.
Question -- I have a 19' aluminum Grumman canoe and am thinking about putting a Torqeedo 1103 motor on it. To extend the run time, is it possible to piggyback a LiFePO4 battery with one of these to extend range?
No sir the only downside is you need to use their batteries only. I have 2 of them to cover 20 miles at 5.5 mph. But most days I run 4.5 and 1 battery last me al day. I only use 2 when I am competing. Now that Yamaha bought them who knows what will happen down the line.
This is on my Nucanoe and it’s for me and my son so needed some extra power when we are both out and fishing tournaments now so need to cover more water and faster. But both good motors and have their purpose.
@@rjmfishtales I appreciate the feedback. I'll be uploading my unboxing and review video as well this month once it comes in. At 43, DONE with pedaling 10 miles on a 8-hour fishing day. I can barely walk for a week after every trip.

Thanks Dave. Yes just need to do a few tweaks but overall it’s awesome. A lot easier on my knees. Catch you next time.

@rjmfishtales I wish now I had waited for the nk-300, but I'm also in an ascend 128x so gotta wait till upgrade

@rjmfishtales My salt water is limited to piers and beaches. I'm a freshwater, catfish and crappies guy 90% on Murray.
You will have to show me how to catfish. I hate catching them but they do put up a fight.
Great video bro. Looking to get one of these for my unlimted
You will definitely like it with Nucanoe foot steering set up.
@@rjmfishtales did you have to buy the complete rudder system or does nucanoe sell just the foot pedal?

Ingot the xi3 it's nice but I'm saving up for this as well to get to place to place. I onky get 3mph on my x13

Thanks for the review! Are you Florida. Your talking about. Gators
South Carolina. They get really big on Lake Marion. Like 12 foot. But will still take a gator over a shark.
Nice video , and this is a very random off topic question but watch are you wearing ?? Is it a garmin fishing watch ?
Thank you. I am wearing the Garmin Instinct watch. It’s a mix between a standard, smart and tactical watch. I use it for barometric pressure and other items like that.
I am looking at the unlimited and the pro angler 14. Which more is more stable in your opinion.

Kayak hulls are displacement hulls not planing hulls. Being on plane means being able to climb on top of your on wake. Kayaks can’t do that.
My Bixpy K1 Pro Kit coming in this week. Everyone knows Torqeedo is Top Dawg, buuuut at $2,900.... hard pass....until I win the lotto. 😂😭😂
That is awesome. I had the Bixpy on my Hobie Pa 14 which I have a few videos on. It works well too. You will be happy with it.
@@rjmfishtales those are the videos I was watching in your Bixpy playlist and then I saw this video and thought, uh oh.
