- Yay! I did it in 4K!!! I know, this is the fifth time uploading the video.
I uploaded the video first on June 11th. But the quality was low, so I deleted it and tried again the next day. It was still low, and so i tried again and got it to work. It was in 1080 HP. Unfortunately, the video was blocked because I used copyrighted music. So a week after i uploaded it, I removed the copyrighted music and replaced it. Somebody recommended that I make it 4K, and here it is at last. Hopefully the last version I have to make.
Mistakes:
-I forgot to include some of the revolts that occured in the allies African colonies.
-Some nations i forgot about and added in later
-Madagascar is a French colony. It should be colored blue in the video
-Some front line movements might be a few days off.
-The Allied Czechoslovak Legion likely did not control that much land.
There may be more mistakes. This is my first time dealing with a project of this scale.

Finally someone who doesn't forgot the Senussi Camping and the Persian camping and the Finnish civil war!
Oh my god, it is great!! Russian civil war, collapse of Austria-Hungary.... One of the best videos about World War I!
Thank you!
Hi i know you
Everyone: WW1 was boring, not much to see
You're wrong. There was still considerate fighting in the Pacific and the African colonies deserve a continent view POV which this video excels in.
I haven't seen anyone say it was.
World: in war
México and Russia: in Revolution
Finally a video that shows all fronts. Most videos would only show the European and the Pacific front
The inclusion of the Bolsheviks really adds to the video and makes it a much more comprehensive WWI map. Best one so far, much better than everything else I've seen. Congrats!
I like how people say that ww1 was ''just mainly in Europe and the name world war doesn't fit well'' but when you look at it from that time the entire world basically participated in a single conflict. If you told to someone from just a century earlier that the French,English ,Japanese,Americans and their Black and Indian soldiers would fight and later celebrate the defeat of a Unified Germany while both sides are trying to gain support from Muslims... it would have seemed unimaginable.
Finally a map that shows the Central Power's african allies...
allies? dude they were german colonies
the rest are ottoman alies
@@Crimsrn
Obviously I’m not talking about their colonies. I’m talking about the Senussi Order in Libya, the Sultanate of Darfur in Sudan, The Dervish state in Somaliland, and the pro-central power faction in the Ethiopian civil war.
@@mint8648
Yes they all had ties with the Ottomans but were also supplied by the Germans
Colonies not allies
This. This is quality. I bet you 90% of people who know about the war don’t know about the Senussi tribe of Libya and Ethiopia’s involvement. Great video and keep it up! You even showed the Russian civil war which is also very complex!
yep
Ikr! As well as the Eastern European and Caucasian breakaway states/clients/co-belligerents of Germany and Ottomans
I've heard of Ethiopian sympathy to the Central Powers but I havent heard naything about them joining

North african campaign in ww1 ? Wow.finaly a video about the senussi campaign.thank you.
Thanks!
People really think the Allies had a firm hold on North Africa, but the constant attacks by the Senussi order you can see, it brings a new perspective.
Exactly. The Senussi are an underrated faction of the central powers.
Very well done! I especially liked how you showed the Senussi Order, the Dervish State, the Iranian resistance, and the Russian Civilian War, which are all conflicts that are usually left out of these World War One Videos!

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful sir, I mainly focused on the African front of the video and I love that you showed the Senussi order and the dervish movement, only thing missing on that front was the German East African campaign in 1918 that invaded into British Malawi, but excellent work.
Pretty sure Nepal also joined allies
Other than that this is a great video with a lot of other details that many other ww1 videos didn’t have :D
I like how you added the Senussi and the Dervish. I didn't even know the Dervish existed.
Thanks for all the fronts of ww1
You missed a detail in Africa and the Middle East:
Between 1914-1915 there was a Boer revolt in South Africa against the British and there a Berber revolt in French Morocco, in Oman there was an anti-British revolt of the Imamate of Oman
Also Portugal entered the war in September 1914 and made the Germans stand on two fronts
Portugal entered in March 1916.
There were also anti-british revolts in Quebec, Pakistan, and Ireland.
@@Randomdude112 Officially yes, but they were indirectly at war in September 1914 because of the Angola campaign
@@kaiserball Germany didn’t even declare war on portugal until 1916, until then they were just stealing some gunboats.

Very pog
When you realize there were more than 4 Central Powers XD
@@randomtanker4355
They were more of co-belligerents than true central powers. That’s like saying the Arab revolt in Arabia was an entente power.
@@RestitutorEuropa well, the Hejazis/Arab Revolt got direct Allied support tho
Quite well done, some issues I've found though:
Ethiopia was neutral throughout the war. The emperor at the time, Lij Leyasu, was very pro central powers, and seriously considered joining their side, until a Palace Couo toppled him from power in October 1916. Ethiopia was never defacto or dejure part of the war on any side though, and apart from indirect allied support of the anti Lij Leyasu coup forces, no WWI belligerent was militarily involved there either
Places like Darfur are debatable too. Yes, the sultanate, which was defacto independent, was invaded by Britain, because they were worried they'd take the call of Jihad from the Ottoman Caliphate. I dont think they ever declared themselves as on the central powers side though, it was an indirect of WWI at most. (Although, on Wiki at least, it seems to say this event was part of WWI)

Both the World Wars were fought by unequal alliances.
The lost side had hardly 6 countries while the winning side had more than 80
Actually its just France, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Russia and their colonies which is from Africa, Asia and some parts of Europe. Those 80 'countries' were non-existent.
WW2 was also somewhat even. US, Nationalist and communist China (grouping cliques into the republic), UK (including commonwealth), Free France, USSR, and a couple other countries who didn’t join until late war VS Germany (and reichskommisariats), Italy, Hungary, Romania, Finland, Bulgaria, and Vichy France.
Including dominions and puppets there were probably like 30 countries

3/4 of the world was at war with them
It’s because of colonies
central powers were still more powerful
@@mint8648 Until the U.S joined. Germany was so powerful it took the combined force of a British blockade and troops, French troops, and American troops to finally break through the western front. Russia got destroyed despite overwhelmingly superior numbers to the Germans.
That’s not an accurate statement at all. Just because there looks like a lot of big blue countries on this map, size and amount of land is not at all an accurate way of truly measuring the situation. In reality, the political situation in most of these blue areas were very complicated and could not meaningfully contribute to the war. In other words they were pretty much only allies on paper. There’s a reason why this war is considered to be a stalemate. The real power between the two sides is a lot closer than you would think.

@Devon Rowell At this point, it's unlikely that I'll do a WW2 video. I know some people who are going to make ww2 videos that'll be really good.
Can anyone explain me what was the central power forces doing in iran after Russia surrendered
Just so you know the only country that joined the Central Powers in WWI and at that point bordered Iran (then known as Persia) was the Ottoman Empire (today known as Turkey) who along with some Persian guerrillas attempted to push the Allies out of the region having taken advantage of the defeat of the strongest Allied country. This continued on for the majority of the war, between November 1915 all the way to the surrender of the Ottomans on October 30th 1918.
Nepal fought during the two world wars, it was a British colony.
no it wasn't
Nepal was a British puppet I think
it was a British protectorate, sorta like a semi-independent colony
