This is an incredibly well made video. It's rare to see the Russian Revolution accurately depicted on a map, and we often ignore the conflicts that occurred in the years after World War I, especially the often-overlooked German Civil War.
@@clevtrog There will definitely be videos about revolutionary events in Central Asia, Siberia and the Far East. I don't know yet if there will be video about events in Western Europe

This video is absolutely amazing. Really congratulations on the level of effort you put into this, it is astounding. I know a fair bit about the Civil War and you have managed to cover even some fairly obscure events on this map here. My only critique would be that sometimes the color scheme can be hard to read (like having the red Central Powers and off-red Soviets), but it is very very good!

I literally can't click the video I wanted to watch. This video is so entertaining and well-made. I can't describe how well the details you made in words.
But you should have shown that Kurdistan Kingdom wanted to be part of Turkey and agreed with Turkish Commander in Sulaymaniye. The command post was in Suleymaniye. Turks and Kurds fought agianst British in there.
Hi! Thanks for making this wonderful video. I wish to make a suggestion... If you plan to upload a new version of this video someday, how about changing the soundtrack from 5:20 to 6:30 into something else? I personally don't think the Starcraft soundtrack matches this particular video. How about... "One Minute of Proud", another soundtrack made by Boris Kukoba? I think that would match perfectly with this video! By the way, do you plan to make English-only version of the videos (which means, no Russian) that you have uploaded? Since most viewers (including me of course) don't know Russian and thus writing down both English and Russian in the video would make reading them much more difficult. Writing down English only would make watching and understanding this video much easier.
Thanks for the positive comment! I won't be making a new version of this video because, frankly, I'm already tired of working on it. The videos that I have released will probably be translated fully into English in the future, but originally I created the channel more for the Russian-speaking audience, because I wanted them to have their own mapper who would make videos in Russian. Only the largest-scale works will be made in English at once - videos from the "Fire of the World Revolution" series and videos dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
Oh, this is the final version? That's too sad. I really wished you to change the soundtrack. :( Not sure if you have the intention to change the current soundtrack (I mean, the one from Starcraft) into another one in the first place, though. By the way, I just realized that the title of this video contains "European Front" in it. Does that mean there will be other videos for this series? Like, Ukrainian Front, Caucasian Front, or the like?
Yes, you are right, there are at least two more videos planned in this series - Central Asian Front (I posted a map for this video here six months ago) and Far Eastern Front. They will be released most likely next year, at least the Central Asian front for sure

I have a few questions, did you make educated guesses on some parts of the map? If the sources didn’t show dates, specify where the troops moving were and such? And I want to know how to research these, I’m planning smaller projects and I need to know where to start and where to end my research (if there are endings) Edit: I also want to add that some of my prior videos (invasion of Yugoslavia , and WW1’s early years) had major inaccuracies because of tracing and just guessing without sources, there is also some cases where I completely ignore or create a state or occupation because of personal bias and just plain stupidity
To be honest, I don't remember having moments where I assumed troop movements due to lack of information. All information, including troop movements, is provided in the sources I cite in the description.
I took this letter from Yaroslav Shimov's book "The Austro-Hungarian Empire". Unfortunately, youtube doesn't allow to send links in comments, so here is the full letter: "This war has opened a new stage of world history," the message said. - The statesman, if he is neither blind nor deaf, cannot fail to notice how the dark despair of the population grows stronger every day.... If the monarchs of the Central Powers prove unable to make peace in the coming months, it will be the peoples who will do it - over their heads ... We are at war with a new enemy, even more dangerous than the Entente - the international revolution, whose strongest ally is hunger. I ask you to give due weight to the importance of this matter and to consider whether a rapid end to the war, even at the cost of heavy sacrifices, cannot be an obstacle to the coups that are being prepared"
I applaud your map and your sense of history. It's very very well done. I do have a quick question though, why doesn't my country have its official French Republic title unlike other countries?
Thanks for the positive comment! On the map you can see both the territory of the French Republic itself (Alsace, Lorraine, etc.) and the territories of the French Colonial Empire, which were de jure independent from France (e.g. Tunisia, which was a French protectorate). I thought that it would be incorrect to write in the table that the territories marked in turquoise color are the territory of the French Republic, because the same Syria was not part of the French Republic, but was a separate mandated territory of France. For this reason, I decided to write just "France" instead of "French Republic" in the table. For example, the map shows only the territories of the British Colonnial Empire, but the territory of the metropolis itself is not visible on the map, so the table says "British Empire".
The map shows two Ukrainian republics next to the WUPR: the Hutsul Republics and the Komancza Republic. There was not enough space for them in the table, so they were shown in the same color as the WUPR.
Oh I got confused by the map online I didn’t realize that the wupr compressed modern day Poland I thought they would be near Slovakia thank you@@HoneyMad_History
Thanks for the positive comment! I don't think it's necessary to make a video about World War I, as there is already a pretty high quality video on this topic on Cherpashka Shusha's channel (at least the Eastern front, at the moment, as far as I know, he is developing the Western front of World War I). I try to pay attention to topics that are either poorly covered on TH-cam, or if there are a lot of errors and mistakes in the videos dedicated to the topic.
What is the source for Izyum rebels controlling the whole Izyum Distrcit they indeed controlled this territory but only in December 1918 - January 1919 but not on the first days of the uprising also can you tell me where you found information on deoccupation of Romania thank you.
Events in the Izyum district reflect not only the Izyum Uprising, which began on November 10, but also the restoration of Soviet power in the Western Donbas at the end of World War I. By about November 10, partisan units had become active in the areas of Kramatorsk, Yekaterinoslav, and other towns and began attacking the evacuating Austro-German units. In addition to the Bolsheviks themselves, Makhno's detachments were also active in the area. I used information from the site hrono. ru, the book "History of Towns and Villages of the Ukrainian SSR" and other smaller sources. I took information about the de-occupation of Romania from Wikipedia (can't remember what language) and possibly other sites. The first version of the video was made more than a year ago, so I don't remember some sources :(
I’m no communist but SHIT THIS IS AMAZING! Good job with all the little details. Funny how WW1 ended yet all of this chaos was happening. In fact this was worse than WW1
Of course you can take this map. Unfortunately, on TH-cam you can't send links in comments, so write me either to Gmail or Telegram (you can find them in the channel description), then I will send you this map (or I can send you a full PSD file with all the slides of the video).
All the information I could find on this topic I have reflected on the map. If I have not shown something on the map, it means that I have not found information about this uprising/conflict.
@@oajajajThe final version had 136 bugs and flaws fixed, the updated version has 192. Most of these changes are minor, such as the addition of small Green armies, or minor changes to the front lines. In the final version I have focused on the Turkish War of Independence, as well as the struggle between the Whites and the Reds in the Don region. Otherwise, the second version of the video was also quite detailed in showing the events of 1917-1923.

They will be released most likely next year, at least the Central Asian front for sure

most detailed map video that i have ever seen in my entire life 👏👏👏

Researching and animating on this many fronts, unreal effort
This is probably one of the highest quality videos I've ever seen
I have a few questions, did you make educated guesses on some parts of the map? If the sources didn’t show dates, specify where the troops moving were and such?
And I want to know how to research these, I’m planning smaller projects and I need to know where to start and where to end my research (if there are endings)
Edit: I also want to add that some of my prior videos (invasion of Yugoslavia , and WW1’s early years) had major inaccuracies because of tracing and just guessing without sources, there is also some cases where I completely ignore or create a state or occupation because of personal bias and just plain stupidity
To be honest, I don't remember having moments where I assumed troop movements due to lack of information. All information, including troop movements, is provided in the sources I cite in the description.

Please bro can you tell me were can I find the letter of Charles I to Wilhelm 2 10:23 ? I tried to look for it but didn't find...
I took this letter from Yaroslav Shimov's book "The Austro-Hungarian Empire". Unfortunately, youtube doesn't allow to send links in comments, so here is the full letter:
"This war has opened a new stage of world history," the message said.

It's so cute, that you remember about Kaluga Soviet Republic 😇
