- Hey, folks in this video. We go over the sheath knives that i've used in the past years of my life up to this point. We talk a bit about what I look for in a knife.And what my favorite knife actually is.

The Kephart design is a classic for a reason 👍🏻

I won a knife of my choice from WC knives years ago... I asked him to make me a 4 in Nessuk style knife... He named it after my channel at the time and called it the Homesteader... I carry it in stitch Gear 6 way sheath and I keep it sharp with a WC RST Hone and Stitch Gear sheath for it too... Most my knifes are carbon steel... Even my backup car pack knife is a Mora that is CS... I agree that you don't need serrated blade unless you are handling alot of rope then they come in handy... I carry a marbles knife I picked up back in 2007 it was from just before they closed and they had stopped stamping the location on the blabe... holds a great edge use it to dress out deer... other knife I use to gut with is a buck 110 w a brass thumb stud ... I use case CS trapper too skin or case CS muskrat too skin, then old hickory 6'' boning knife to brake down, bone saw to cut joints and head off... and start my process... can't wait to hear the pocket knife video... 1 question why always back to k bar.... I have one I got my grandfather' so I know why you liked it but you didn't try others? Just asking
I didn't hear you say Becker so I go to ebay and type in k bar and keppart and see it I'm like OH he is doing bushcraft with a SWEETIE piece oh steel... I like it bubba, have you got a good Hone to go with that knife the RST is awesome, Blackie has one of them too on his channel...
I llve the kephart knife and its true to design. Due to ethan becker owning one of the only two known Existing kephart knives. That and it was more than enough when my life actually depended on it. Its hard ti leave a brand after 15 years of lkgal service and it litterally saving your life. Thats all. I got other knives but and they work but i just love my kephart.
Hhhaaa I’m 47 and still mess with my dad’s knives. That’s passed down to my kid too who I find handling mine. Great story man.

You need an LT Wright knife. I recommend either the Genesis, or the Next Gen as a dedicated bushcraft knife. They are spendy, but you can pick them of on the secondary market for much less than new. Bushcraft USA is a fantastic community and a great place to pick up a a dedicated bushcraft knife. I like William Collins as well, but they are expensive and can sometimes be a very long wait.
