Love seeing this for this lovely plane! I was fortunate enough to fly Hank Galpin's out in Kalispell years ago for about a half hour. It was like turning a bus in the air but one of the greatest flying experiences of my life.

The first flight took place on March 12, 1929 on snow skiing, and the name of the plane was "Gniezno", i.e. the first capital of Poland. A 450 HP Lorraine Dietrich single engine, 6 passengers, plus pilot and mechanic.

I got to deliver a TravelAir 6000 to a air museum in Calif a few years ago. Great experience, I love flying old aircraft.
