I hope to one day see this beautiful bird in person. My grandfather was a Aircraft technician for nearly 40 years for delta (1955-91) and he told me growing up he saw a few travel air 6000's.

Love seeing this for this lovely plane! I was fortunate enough to fly Hank Galpin's out in Kalispell years ago for about a half hour. It was like turning a bus in the air but one of the greatest flying experiences of my life.

What a beautiful initiative and multi-generational commitment of aviation enthusiasts.
The first Polish PWS-20 communication plane comes from this period.
The first flight took place on March 12, 1929 on snow skiing, and the name of the plane was "Gniezno", i.e. the first capital of Poland.
A 450 HP Lorraine Dietrich single engine, 6 passengers, plus pilot and mechanic.

That's a BigDeal airplane, and very much deserved a deep-dive restoration. Nice work, people.

I got to deliver a TravelAir 6000 to a air museum in Calif a few years ago. Great experience, I love flying old aircraft.
