So much here that I really needed to hear in this exact moment! Uhhh...I think INFPs are very smart IN GENERAL. All around smart in ways that don't get noticed by most people in typical situations. But our ability to be constantly weighing things and feeling into their legitimacy and value gives us a barometer that works with stunning accuracy. We need to mull things over, though. The results are not at all automatic, but it's our setup that is always ready to accept interesting challenges and start to fiddle with and filter them. Whereas, many others who value in-the-moment relevance, accuracy and results aren't already set up for processing the deeply nuanced nature of things in a way that will yield legitimate results. We're the ones who are usually right in the end, and it even pisses us off because no one can hardly ever believe it - not even us in the end because we start to question reality itself and then decide: how can we be right if we can't all settle on the true meaning of truth itself! (See...I'm starting to sound dumber than I really am...)

Bra fking vo 🎉 I'm so touched by your comment I'm screenshotting it because I feel so validated. THANK YOU FOR ARTICULATING ALL OF THIS. especially the last part where you started rambling and trailing off and caught yourself while simultaneously realizing how others are probably previewing you because they don't have the capacity to see a thought process in action. I see you 😏💁🏼‍♀️
      Thanks again 💖

I like nuances myself and respect that ability alot.
I can understand that it takes time to go through all the different variants or possibilities that could occur and then try to make some sense out of it. Rarely something is black or white (except when it comes to my moral compass and integrity.😅)
If you don't define the rules in a game then you can't really know if you won. That sounds logical I think and not dumb.

Weighing things out is exhausting when you are a mother of 5, what’s for dinner, when do I have time to clean etc. Also I instantly or instinctively know an outcome of a situation and it drives my Hubby (INTP) crazy thinking I’m over reacting but I’m often right!

In what way do you think infps are smart?

they can really shine in terms of intropersonal intelligence, creativity, association skills, visual-spatial imagination, and aesthetics, as well as listening and telling stories

I just don't think of myself as smart. These are correct. But it just seems like stuff I naturally do; like second nature. Society doesn't appreciate these about me though. It's mostly overlooked.
