Good evening respected sir I think applying ideal gas equation in this case will give pretty anomalous results as air is not an ideal gas. You must do pressure and volume correction before calculation. Regards

Actually here HC Verma sir can't use PV=nRT as this is valid only for ideal gases and as O2 is a Real Gas he should have used the Waander Waal's equation for real gas. EXCEPTION: Real gas acts as IDEAL gas only at LOW PRESSURE and HIGH TEMPERATURE but room tempertaure doesn't seem to be high for this experiment, so they can't use PV=nRT............................THANK YOU......BELIEVE IN SCIENCE!

Induction cooker generates varying magnetic field due to which eddy current generates in utensils which heats it.
Because induction us done through heat transfer and can use air as content medium if kept sufficiently closed
