Xaghra will be celebrating its feast of Our Lady of Victories on Friday, the 8th of September. I went on Saturday the 2nd of September, to see Xaghra marks the 50th anniversary of the coronation of the titular statue of the Maria Bambina - Our Lay of Victories. with the Victory band history is that On the 2nd of September 1973, when this village was celebrating the first centenary of the arrival of the titular statue of Maria Bambina (made in Marseille, France), Gozo Bishop Nicholas J. Cauchi put a precious gold crown on the same statue

The statue is of Marija Bambina and is the feast of the nativity of our lady which will be celebrated on the 8th of September. the march you filmed is that of the Coronation which this year marked the 50th anniversary from when the bishop of Gozo crowned the statue of Marija Bambina with a golden crown. The people of Xaghra are called Xaghrin. Thanks for visiting our village and you are welcome any time.
