If nothing else I’m sure Sky was one of his earliest friends. Even though he was a social outcast she still showed interest in him.

So for those who dont know, Jinx's Ultimate ability in the game is basically firing a Nuke that can hit anywhere on the map. For all of us who knew that, that final scene was EPIC.

League doesn't have "a" story it's a shit ton of small stories based on the characters. Those stories flesh out the world, regions, politics, and everything else to create the stage for more stories.

The designs for the weapons are actually brilliant. Since they’re made for mining, the barrier abilities from the hammer and the gloves would be used to block falling debris during mining. And to have the implementation and background of those weapons from the game to the show is just wow.

I'm at 17:45 and seeing how they react to this scene, how we all reacted to this scene, shows how well written Jinx is.
Think this is the second show I've watched of this channel after discovering you on Johnny O'Dell's channel. Brilliant editing, with some nice clips sewn in. Thanks you for the content.
Funny enough, Jynx once again causes a big explosion right when things were looking up, first with the escape that would've succeeded, and now the council being on an agreement
couple things:
1. Yes, every champion on LoL has a Lore and all happen in the same universe.
2. At the part when Jinx kills Silco I just thought my man was gonna say "Not the Japannese symbols" (If you know, you know)
3. Season 2 is confirmed, and the CEO of Riot (i think) confirmed that it would not take another 6 years as season 1 but it is in production and is not coming in 2022 either.

Mel is from a region called Noxus, so fans of LoL are already making theories of who killed her brother that can be a champion in the game.

To answer your question. Every character (champion) has their own background story and interaction with the other characters. Champions can be considered somewhat major players in the story. This animation almost fully followed the regular lore.
We can tell you who the champions are in the game (the main characters) but by doing that we might spoil you. Not knowing them adds a lot of mystery to the story which I think will make it better for you guys.
They followed 85%/90% of the lore but they added other characters in or gave some more important characters additional lore such as Vander and Singed. For example something that's not a spoiler is that Silco is not in the game.
This is not the only well developed area of the lore (LoL story). You have Noxus (Medarda's are from there), Damacia, Ionia, Shurima, Shadow Isles, Bilgewater and Freljord. For me it's seems very likely that will cover about 3 or 4 more of these areas, some are interconnected.
There's also bandle city, ixtal, void and targon unless you only wanted to mention the regions that in your opinion are well developed
No, the defense force field in Vi’s gloves actually make sense for mining. If a tunnel collapses or rocks tumble down, it’s really useful to not crushed by them.

24:50 Thing is, you gotta make the difference between the actual lore of the characters with the world they live in (Runeterra), and the *skins* lore, where skins are alternative looks (payable content in the game) with their own alternative lore.
Exemple: Akali is a ninja that is very skilled and wants to follow her own rules (kinda), while KDA Akali is a young popstar that represent the rebelious side of her popstar band.
Best arcane reactions I’ve seen, love the energy from you all!
Basically the weapon she used at the end is called Fishbones and she was basically using her ultimate from the game at the end. “Super mega death rocket” and the further you shoot it the more faster and destructive it gets. That explains the pick up in speed while it was in the air.
i don't want vi to completely move on/forget about jinx. like i don't want her to go just like "fuck jinx, she doesn't exist to me, powder's gone, its not my fault" etc. i know they're not just gonna go back to sunshine and rainbows, but i think by making her always carry that burden (that jinx is partly her fault) together with jinx is what gives their conflict weight. the conflict between them in the next seasons has the potential to be some of the best moments in cinematic history

League of legends is based in the world of runaterra, the game has nothing to do with the rest of the world, it just takes the characters from it
Piltover is only a city, and then there are many other nations like noxus(where Mel is from)

There’s nothing really to spoil tho right? All the lore out there is just world building stuff there’s not like actual stories so much.. like all we knew about jinx and vi was that they are sisters but this whole show was sooo much more.

People who say that jinx ruined the peace detween piltover y zaun did
not pay attention to the serie really because the condition that jayce
put silco in order for there to be peace between the two cities was that
silco deliver jinx to justice, even if jinx in the end of the chapter
would not fire her cannon against the council there would be no peace
anyway, silco would never do that and jinx would no surrender
voulntarily either...so, even without jinx firing there would still be
conflict between them, zaun and piltover.

I think that’s all but yeah 13 lovely regions with very interesting design, every character has their own lore and with 150+ champions in the game a decent amount of their lore actually intersect.
Arcane shows the lore of many champions! There is a whole world with lots of champions in different cities. And yes, all 157 champions have lore, there are extra stories too about all kinds of non champion characters too. It's very special to have their stories actually animated in such a magnificent way.

This ending is soo good Vi failing Jinx’s questions. Silco not feeling hatred for Jinx after she shot him telling her she’s perfect. The revealing of fishbones with the red moon and Jinx using her ultimate super mega death rocket. I was screaming while crying. I can’t wait for season 2!

The funny thing about the "story" of league. What you have seen here is but a small insignificant speck in the the entire League of Legends universe. There is so much story that could be made in to shows. Gods, demons, Heroes of eld. You would need to spend weeks reading up on all of it, maybe months. Arcane was a great start to what I hope will be a massive connected cinematic/series universe.

My partner is a behavioral analyst, just re-watched this with her (her first watching) and she was very impressed with the empathic portrayal of trauma & resulting issues. My re-watch I focused way more on the emotions & writing, now that I was past the spectacle of it during my first watching. Arcane is a masterpiece.

My overall favorite lines in the show-
Heimerdinger- those who shine brightest, burn the fastest
Ekko- you can’t just give people what they need to survive, you got to give them what they need to live
Jayce- you can’t make a deal with a snake and then cut off its head.
Vi- Nothing will ever change that.
Jinx- I thought you could love me like you used to, even though I’m different, but you changed too. So, here’s to the new us.
Silco- Is there anything so undoing as a daughter (it made him human to me, his love for jinx and understanding why vander changed)
Victor- in the pursuit of great, we failed to do good
Caitlin- forced to choose between a king pin willing to exploit them, and a government that doesn’t give a shit!
Vander- No one wins in war
Singed- sometimes death is a mercy
Mel- We can’t change what fate has in store for us, but we don’t have to go through it alone
Mama-darda- once a weapon is built, it can’t be unmade, and it is always used.
Sevika- She’ll come to you, when she’s ready. (Literally the only line that gave her humanity to me)
If you guys want to explore their world League of Legends has a virtual interactive map of Runeterra I recommend checking it out gives some info on the different Nations and factions that live in the world as well as the people that live in them.

The lore of League of Legends all plays in Runeterra. That's what the world is called. There are different continents and regions. Piltover and Zaun is just 1 region of at least 9 (10 if you count Zaun as an independent region). We saw a glimpse of Noxus (Mel's origin) and Ionia (the girl Mel's mother killed was Ionian, Noxus once invaded Ionia) in Arcane but there is a lot more. We will 100% see more in future seasons. There are currently 157 champions and every single one of them is created within the world of Runeterra. Some champs have more lore to them, some less. But it's all one big world connected to each other. The potential with Arcane is INSANE. Theoretically speaking, they could make this a whole ass cinematic universe like Marvel. There is easily enough material for it lol.

my theory only Mel and Jayce survived it, thanks to a dome like Vi's Titan Gauntlet's. But with most of the council gone it'll create a power vacuum in which some families like Clan Ferros. Meanwhile in Zaun, with Silco's gone, more Chem Barons will rise. Other countries might get involved like Noxus (it already is, to a point, with Ambessa Medarda's presence) or Damatia if their trades are threatened.
Rewatching this makes me pissed off about how they ended this but still after all these years i can't wait for season 2
Many of the characters in the game have quite a bit of written backstory and lore, as well as adventures they've gone on with other characters in the game.
Some have more than others though, but in general there's at least two to three short stories for each character, but the more popular characters have much more than that.
Powder died on the bridge after fighting Ekko,when she realized she was fighting her childhood friend,that was it. She did not like what she was becoming so she pulled a grenade.Silco however, could not live without Jinx, so he carried her himself to Dr. Frankenstein to resurrect her. The doctor said sometimes death is a mercy. So It was Jinx who was brought back to life. The mad tea party was just a test to see if her sister would love her as she was. Jinx not Powder. After she killed Silco just drove it home.
Piltover and Zaun are just two cities. You heard of Noxus, which was an empire that's important in the lore, but you have a lot more lore not even hinted at in this series, which is good.
Patience is a virtue and patience build a good story.
So the characters in the show that I know are characters in the game, jinx, vi, Jayce, Caitlyn, heimerdinger, victor, ekko, and singed(the doctor who made shimmer)
u missed the few seconds of singed turning vander into warwick.
Couple of fun details for you nearly a year later:
Most of Jinx's tattoos are the smoke flare that Vi gave her, blue clouds
After accidentally killing Silco - All the voices in her head drowned out to nothingness. Completely calm and focused.

The way we saw her armour glowed people say she always has it on for a reason
The original origin story for Vi was with her group robbing and they ended up in cave. The cave started to collapse and the workers were gonna get trapped. Her group didn't care and left them to die but Vi didn't want to leave them to die. She removes the gauntlet's from the machine that was being used for mining and busts herself and everyone else out after the cave collapsed in.

Even if jinx hadn't fired the weapon at the council, the peace treaty wouldn't have worked because Silco wouldn't have given Jinx
if they already agreed on Silco's conditions then they definitely would be open to negotiations with some other leader.
If the other Zaun gang leaders give Jynx to Piltover, who cares about Silco's opinion? If anything, his refusal to go along would just mean Silco would get handed over too. Only reason he was left alone was to keep the peace, and hes not even doing that by rejecting the deal that he himself asked for.
Just a question for the people who know, are „the people“ who killed Mel’s brother from demacia? Cuz I only know demacia is an arch enemy to Noxus as what you know from the game lore
No, I think it's more likely the man responsible for Mel's brother's death is another Noxian. Noxus is a staple for the Roman Empire, so not only do they have enemies beyond their borders, not only with the Demacians, but also the Freljord and Ionia, but they also suffer from political infighting, with underhanded assassinations and political maneuverings and whatnot. A lot of people speculate it's a guy named Jericho Swain, but it's just theories at this point

If you guys really wanna examine it, it’s the dude hanging up in the scene where Singed is looking at a picture of his daughter. No spoilers but a quick google search would give y’all the answer to any question you have.

Every character has his/her own lore that's intertwined with each other's. These are just some of the champions living in one of the nations in the LoL world. With 157 champions (and counting) currently available in the game, 13 entirely unique nations, magic, undead spiritual realms and historical stuff they could literally make 100 seasons of this without even scratching the surface.
The shield kinda makes sense when you think about it in case a cave collapses
Since everybody in the comments seems to love this Father-Daughter tragedy, here is a little detail to make this experience better:
*Jinx's rocket launcher is a shark with a black, scar-like detail on its left eye. It's called fishbone*
*Silco has a black scar on his left eye.*
*Silco loved sea monsters and Jinx wanted to make something Silco really liked, so Jinx made a sea monster inspired weapon based on Silco (like the coffee mug she had made for him).*
*Jinx used the "Fishbone the black eyed Sea monster" weapon to kill the council because she thought that is what Silco would have wanted.*
*In the game she banters with "Fishbone" like it were parent-child conversation.*

Silco really was one of the best parts of this series he wasn’t just some generic trashy villain he had so much depth and how he told jinx he would never have given her to them was just heartbreaking

That Viktor said Hextech can think and adapt and we saw Viktor passing out after he decided he can't destroy the core, so I think all Hextech devices might be connected and learning everything they experience. So maybe after Jayce created a shield with his hammer, Vi's gauntlet adapted to the situation and just protected Vi.

i like how they went for a different route when VI used the 'remember who u are' card. All VI was doing was bringing her sister more pain by bringing up past trauma, memories that shouldve been joyful is just twisted now and i like to believe thats why Silco was so furious, because VI was unintentionally hurting her even more
I don't know why, but Powder's backstory and dynamic with Vi really hits home with me. I was rooting for them to get along with each other the whole season but I think it's safe to say she's too far gone for that. Just really sad.
I know right? I think that's why he tried to kill her-he saw Jinx, who was basically his daughter, become shaken and curl into herself from the pain, and tried to stop the one who was causing it.
A sh!t person, but a man who truly cared for Jinx.

vi was appealing to powder and ruining the years he had of burying that side of jinx, that's probably why he tried to kill vi.

I feel like Powder killed herself on the bridge. After that, with all the shimmer in her, it was all Jinx. She just hadn't accepted it until Silco said she was perfect, because it meant no Vi.

I love how you could see glimpses of powder under the jinx persona but once silco died that persona turned into a real person. I also love how they showed the council and cut to the bullet jinx fired, to me it was symbolizing that the council could've done this sooner but chose later

You know, in a way it works as an ending too. It's just saying "yeah, everything is fucked, now they're all going to go to war". They just failed, all of them.
when ekko meets claggor outside benzo's shop , he tells claggor that jayce paid in gold and didnt even haggle . in episode nine silco also says that jayce didnt haggle . just a little parallel i noticed .

it's a classic way to show that someone doesn't know their way around a "lower city" type place. It also shows that Jayce doesn't NEED to haggle, because people with a lot generally don't have to think about how much something costs.

The "peace" that the council was agreeing too was on the condition that Silco gave up Jinx, similar to how Vander was supposed to give up Vi. I've watched a lot of reactions and noticed that Vi never called Jinx by her name, subconsciously Vi was never going to call Powder "a jinx" again but this meant that it sent the message that Vi would only love Jinx as Powder making her love conditional. Silco's love was unconditional, no matter how many times Jinx screwed up he would always be there for her even defended her from his most loyal like a father would.
With the council agreeing to peace, Jinx would have been a footnote. She could have fled the city and given Zaun independence.

Did you guys realize how Jayce said "am i interrupting" to Viktor, just like he did for him back in act 1. That was a pretty cool parallel they made.
Glad you noticed the thing about Silco becoming just like Vander, being in the position where he has to choose between peace or Jinx.
"What makes you different makes you strong", "You're stronger than you think" Jinx says Vi's voice was what kept pushing her, but in the end everyone is just muted and Silco's voice was the only one that stuck to her. "We'll show them. We will show them all"
That part make me teardrop every fucking time.
Also Vi told her "What makes you different makes you strong" but Vi kinda contradicted herself because she couldn't accept that Powder was different at the end. She wanted powder to be that innocent kid again. Silco had a good point, "You'll be with her a day before she realizes you aren't that girl anymore and turns her back on you." In the end Silco accepted her for who she is now and Vi didn't. So when Silco died and she became Jinx completely, Powder disappeared meaning the events that occured in the past were the past and thus Vi's voice disappeared because her trauma was gone.
@@freetoplayplayer8693 but she isn't jinx though, traumatic don't define your entire character, she had a life and a personality before the explosion of course she won't be the exact same but she also isn't just jinx, she's both powder and a bit of jinx, at the end of the day vi should have told her that she forgave her for what happened and that powder needed to forgive herself so she could move on. Also vi would not turn her back on powder she might love her differently than before but i doubt she woudl just give up on her like that

Vander refused to give out Vi when the enforcers wanted a scape goat, this enraged Silco thinking Vander has gone soft only caring about his children, not Zaun.
Now that Silco treated Jinx as his daughter, he refused to give her out as well parallel to what Vander did. In turn realizing what Vander went through, daughter and children comes first before everything. Ultimately it became the downfall for both of them, everything comes full circle
Vander gave himself up and refuses war. Silco is ready to start a war. Even though Silco was refused when he gave himself up, he would have gone to war where I don't think Vander would have.

Point to note, Silco doesn't interfere when Jinx and Vi are talking until Vi starts bringing up her foster family not realising that she's hurting Jinx instead of helping her.
Silco reaches for the gun purely because Jinx is hurting.
Somehow Silco reminds me of the quote from Wreck it Ralph: "You are >Bad Guybad< Guy!"
Which just shows Silco's flaw. For all he genuinely loves Jinx, he's still a sociopathic murdering asshole. He chose murder as his #1 solution the way he always had, the way he taught Jinx to. Being a devoted father doesn't make you NOT a huge piece of shit.
