Every time I cross the border from Hungary to Austria, the difference in development between the countries, looking at the scenery from the train window, it’s one of the strongest reminders of the iron curtain where east meets west.

could definitely tell a difference between austria and slovkia, although bratislava old town was exceptionally nice and couldve been anywhere in 'western europe' but a great mix of east and west in the city, i will be visiting hungary for the first time in the next couple of weeks looking forward to it !
