I met Buford Pusser in Eddie Bonds nightclub in the early 1970s before the movie was made. He was a very nice and humble man. Eddie Bond was a Memphis celebrity. He was a country music disc jockey and he a nightclub.
My son started a fund to help replace my Van, www.gofundme.com/kxotws On the morning of January 2, 2015 at approx. 3:15 am my dad lost his only vehicle to fire just 2 days before his 69th Birthday. This was also his van he used for his work as a courier driver across country. Since the fire, he has been stuck at home and not even able to go to the store, or even go to work as he was a owner operator. When his company needed a load ready to go with a moments notice, they would call him to roll out to complete the mission. He loved the open road and is ready to get back out as soon as possible. This was his way to clear his mind as he lost his girlfriend of 20 years suddenly on April 2, 2013. This hit him extremely hard as they were very close. Unfortunately at the time of the fire he didn't have coverage for fire. With the reduction in incme, funds were tight and he had to make decisions on what got paid and what didn't so he had to reduce coverage on the van. One never really plans on your vehicle to catch fire. Any help would be greatly appreciated even if just $1, $5, $10 or what every you can or willing to offer to help get him back on the road. We are not looking for a new vehicle, just something dependable and able to handle the heavy loads Thank You in advance.
Too bad that one lawyer in the movie “FINAL CHAPTER WALKING TALL” left out the word ‘city’ when he just said that the newspapers labeled the area as just ‘Murder USA’.
