A member of the Senate (I believe it was a Senator) challenged a representative of Monsanto during a committee hearing to prove it is safe, by drinking a glub of glyphosate on national TV. My vet recommended Bravecto for my cat. I used it once and my cat didn't urinate for 3 days. Never again. Then my vet recommended Credelio. After 3 months of use, my cat developed severe constipation and very hard, dry stools. I had no idea that Bravecto and Credelio were the same thing, just in a different form of application. I'm so glad that the manufacturers are being sued. It should be permanently banned.

I’ve overheard vet techs at the vets office telling people that the only negative reactions are from the ones brought from places like Amazon. Pet parents are trying to express their concerns about these drugs and they are being lied to by the people selling them
I went to the vet this week with my dogs sick tummy issue. The first thing they wanted to do was argue with me over a rabies vaccine, then over her yearly boosters. I don't give my dog those. She had her puppy shots and two rabies in her life. They actually almost refused to see her and argued with me. I was so mad then I finally said you going to check her or not because I'm fixing to leave. These vets were not like this in the past. They all try this. I don't even do heart worm meds since I have them checked twice a year. Its a shame what has happened to them. Why would I poison my dog 12 months out of the year. Even people doctors are the same. All pill and shot pushers! I take a sick dog to the vet to rule out some things and the first thing they want to do is inject my dog with multiple vaccines. That is dumb!

Thank you, Dr Judy, for this video. Wow, I wish I had known about this lawsuit. I've kept all my records during that awful time after I gave Callie Bravecto. Over the 7 week timespan from giving her the chew to finally euthanizing her, Callie suffered from seizures, vomiting, diarrhea (both eventually became bloody) tremors, and neurological episodes where she would go up to a wall and bark and growl at it as well as just staring. Her balance was affected, and she stopped eating. Blood tests revealed her organs were failing. This was all back in 2017 and I'm still so angry about it. The first Merck vet I spoke to said "yes, that certainly sounds like an adverse reaction to Bravecto since it started within a 30 minute period". After that one admission, I got "this is the first time we're hearing about this type of reaction". I was able to tell them that was a lie because I had names and case numbers of other dogs/pet owners who had the same experience. I will NEVER give my dog ANY vaccine or drug now, no matter how much pushback I receive from vets. I'm scared to death when she gets her rabies vaccines. The guilt I still have for believing my vet is something I will never get over. Thanks for listening to my rant....obviously I'm not over this.

I put down a natural powder on my carpet only once a year and my dogs has never had fleas since unless I forget to put it down and only took one time for me to forget to not forget anymore. I absolutely hate myself literally for the times when I was younger that I didn't search out information about V's and meds. It took all the pets that sadly died years ago from contaminated pet foods for me to start searching and such an eye opener what I learned about their foods AND OURS! And it sadly took one of my dog's getting Kidney Failure after one of the V's for me to search about them, too I am the type of person that will never forgive myself even though it's the vets that should know better to tell us! Sadly, we don't have a 100 percent Holistic vet in my area and any vet that calls themselves Holistic that doesn't seem to know all the dangers with V's and meds I have to wonder why they would say they are Holistic! I 💖Dr. Judy. Every Vet should be like her.
We had a Reg Chesapeake Bay Retriever and gave NexGuard monthly. At age 2 she got “epilepsy” with 4-5 grand mal seizures over 3-4 days with total bladder loss as well. The “odd” part was that these always occurred in sleep (not what epilepsy usually does) and were CYCLICAL MONTHLY. No joke. Every month on time. The vet never put together the fact we gave NexGuard monthly and I never caught it either. We did what the vet said (phenobarbital - and yes we did all the vaxes they recommended) which reduced the seizures to 1-2 grand mals over 1-2 days monthly. At age 4 she went into status epilepticus and died. She was our special boys companion and he watched it all. 😭 It was a few years later when my SILs beloved dog went into liver failure a few weeks after starting Bravecto. The vet figured out what was happening but her dog died. It was reported. Also a beloved dog of her special boy. That’s when it hit me that it was the NexGuard I was giving our dog monthly back then. We immediately stopped using those products on our new dog. I think it is criminal. This second special dog now is 11 and is dying of cancer at her vax site. We are putting her out of her misery in a week I can’t imagine what our boy will do - he loves her so much and doesn’t understand. Our newest puppy got puppy shots (at breeder) and we now see a Holistic Vet for her. Never again. I found you and other holistic vets and it has completely changed how we deal with our dogs. We also now raw feed. Thank you. ❤️❤️😘
Hi Dr. Judy I live in Canada and last year my shih tzu was prescribed Bravecto by a low income vet and my dog after the first topical treatment was very lathargic for a week after the treatment. I contacted the vet got to return the other two doses and was told that this was a very safe product. Based on how my dog was feeling it was not and I would never administer this topical treatment to my dog again. Thanks for sharing and how do Canadians become part of the class action suit because it does not just involve American's and European's it involves Canadians as well. Thanks for all the great info.
I gave my dog Bravecto on the advice of my vet. He lost his appetite for 3 months. Not a coincidence. It was the only difference and it was in January (winter in Ohio). I didn't know better and then I started doing a lot of research. Found you and others to help guide. He is no longer on any preventatives. I just wish more vets cared about these dangerous drugs. I did also switch vets after he made a comment about online vets advice.

Thanks for the info! My vet really pushed it on me for my two dogs, so that I bought it. $60 , but I decided to go with my gut instinct and throw it away. I'm glad I did now. I made flea powder with, baking soda, corn starch, and essential oils.. Sprinkled it on, and blew it out the next day and gave them a bath. Then reapplied the next day, and blew it out with a high powered dog dryer. Fleas were gone. I did give the Bravecto to the cat. He thankfully had no adverse effects. And it did stop his itching immediately.
My chihuahua whippet mix died last year June 21st. It all started with bravecto. He had a seizure 11 days after taking this. I didn't put this together until after he had a second seizure exactly 11 days after next dose which was three months later. I took him to a specialist and they checked spinal fluid ran imaging and they couldn't find anything. Of course this started his medication. Right after all this My son found an article saying bravecto could cause seizures so I never gave it again. My furbaby finally ended up with kidney disease. I will never give my pets any medicine unless it's holistic. I dud a deep dive and found Dr. Judy Morgan and Dr. Jones.
My friend for the first time ever, gave her two dog's braveto and within a week both dogs died! Different ages, different breed unrelated and they died within a week!
I’m soooo infuriated - a few months after my pup’s first dose of bravecto she started having seizures. Never once was it advised to stop bravecto. After thousands at the vet, I stopped all preventive meds & the last 2y she’s been on daily zonisamide to prevent seizures. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I woud be mad as hell as well and they lead you to believe it is something else causing the seizures and now you are treating your dog with another drug to stop the seizure, now how messed up is that! I pray that once you puppy if off all medications that you can stop giving this zonisamide as well, hopefully the seizures will disappear as well. Thanks for sharing your story, people need to really hear what is going on here.
Oh I am so sorry to hear that, I totally believe Bravecto to be the cause of seizures in yours and so many dogs. 😞 Please try giving your doggy Milk thistle, it is a natural remedy that helps to rid the liver of toxins left behind from these evil demonic meds that vets push. My brother's Chi-weenie had seizures almost 2 - 3 times a week, he was prescribed Phenobarbital by his vet, which is another evil drug next to Gabapentin and it did nothing but further harm his dog. Finally I convinced him to try weening his dog slowly off those meds and start adding milk thistle to his food and home cook for him, after 2 months, the seizures were reduced from 2 - 3 a week to twice a month or sometimes none at all, and he is doing better and better every day. My brother was amazed, he was so happy that his doggie was having fewer and fewer seizures! It takes a huge leap of faith to trust your instincts over a vets intimidation tactics, but it really is easy to heal not only our dogs "naturally" but us as well. No I am not a vet, but I am a pet parent of two beautiful healthy Shih-Tzus who loves animals and want the best healthy lives for them.🙂 I am angry too, my Shih-Tzu Buddy was on Bravecto for two years, thankfully I never noticed any neuro issues, however, he had constant digestive upset, diarrhea and threw up his food, until I finally started doing more research into what Bravecto was, and I was horrified at the stories I read and the side effects they caused. I started looking into all the natural ways to prevent fleas and ticks from holistic vets online like Dr. Judy, Dr. Andrew, Dr. Karen and educated myself for months, reading and watching videos, trying natural remedies for this or that and with their help and advice, it has worked. When I stopped using Bravecto, I started home cooking for him and adding Milk thistle to his food as a preventive to keep his gut system clear of toxins. It took 6 months after stopping Bravecto that his health turned around immensely, he ate well, pooped well and throwing up was GONE! It's been 8 years now and Buddy is a healthy 10 year old with the energy of a 5 year old. I encourage you to find a holistic vet in your area even if you have to take them 25 miles to the nearest one.

I am a breeder and not a year goes by where one of my puppies is permanently damaged or dead because of these pesticides. These are just the ones that are sadly reported to us. Idk how many people are afraid to tell us because we go out of our way to inform everyone multiple times. When these dogs have seizures vets are so quick to blame them on genetics and breeding practices. We grill our owners not to use them but so many vets convince my clients that my verbal and written warnings are not valid. 😢

I love your breeding ethics! A vet once told me issues with my Shih-Tzu was from breeding, until I learned otherwise. Giving these precious animals these poisons just weeks after being born is CRAZY!!!!!! Just like doctors do with babies and vaccines when they are only an hour old! Both of my pomeranians had seizures within hours of my giving them bravecto. My veterinarian would not acknowledge that it was from the bravecto. I stopped bravecto and any further flea/tick treatments that were not natural.
a few years ago, my dog developed a cancerous tumor on top of the skin where he was given the Bravecto topical treatment. Has anyone else had that happen? His health went downhill after that and he died about a year later.
My dog was on Bravecto as a compliment to interceptor when I took him off trifexis as the vet suggested. He is now off the Bravecto also and has been for at least six months due to having bladder problems for about a year now that i haven't been able to regulate naturally either. And rather than the vet suggesting that it could have been the Bravecto I get flack every time we have to catherize because I refuse to use the Rx SO food. I would like to be able to confidently figure out the correlation though.

It would be so nice to have a list of the little guns. Sometimes try as we might the natural products will not control fleas and the animals suffer while trying to get rid of them.
Yes!! I rarely use flea prevention products with my cat because he doesn’t go out. But I had to do it sometimes, like a couple months ago when he started losing fur between his shoulders which is a sign of fleas. I wish I could find something that I can trust as I want to take him on walks all the time but I worry about fleas.

I wish she would list the tiny little guns too! We live in the SW USA. DE didnt do anything. I have had pretty good results with 1/4 TSP fresh garlic everyday, plus frequent baths during spring, summer & fall. I chk her alot. If I am at my wits end I have given her half dose of nexgard every 6-8 weeks, she's had 3 doses total spread over 2 summers and I didnt know much about toxic chemicals. I am aware freq baths dry the skin but better the dry skin than fleas & ticks. Fleas & ticks are a huge prob in my area. I put out a yellow sulphur block lick for the deer so it kills deer ticks, other wildlife lick it too.

How does one get included in the class action lawsuit? My vet gave my dog this poison after an FDA alert!! My dog had a serious medical history including liver failure and they made me feel like a failure of a pet parent because my dog had a flea, and I use bathing and wondercide….he suffered for years and still had tremors they have improved but he still has them.
I constantly tell my dog parent clientele to educate themselves on this poison & to PLEASE use holistic flea & tick options which are easily found (I send not only Dr. Judy products, but other suggestions as well). Not only did this happen to my last dog who after 8 years of blindly giving it to my coyote cattle dog as following vet’s directions in which she suffered from ongoing seizures, but as of today I’ve have lost 3 dogs in my pack to death due cluster seizures, in which I believe was a direct result from neurotoxins. On a separate subject Dr. Judy, can you speak on antibiotics called Fluoroquinolones ?, I’m not sure if it’s called ‘Baytril’ for animals & the ADR’s they may experience 😮
I agree. I don't know about fluoroquinolones in pets but in humans they're known to cause tendon ruptures. I have put a list of drugs in my husbands phone that he is not allow to take and is not to allow me to be given if I'm incapacitated (unless they are absolutely need to save life) and fluoroquinolones are on that list.

I live in the UK... For my feline companion, I spent months trying the Natural topical deterrents and Natural spray deterrents in my flat/apartment and also the 1/2 small clove of garlic 3 days per ... My cat had to suffer for several months while I tried the Natural deterrents and they did not work...! Recently, I had to resort to Frontline Plus 4 weekly spot-on treatment and Indorex defence household for the flat/apartment due to the heaviness of infestations of mice and rats within the buildings structure... I am currently fighting the local authority/Council who are my landlords to address the infestations, as it is is out of my control... but it was only when I started using the chemical based treatments in the past week, that the problem has eased and my feline companion has finally got some relief. I am sure the Natural based will work once the buildings infestation of mice and rats are cleared
This stuff is awful! I gave it to a dog for a few months, then abandoned it after watching all the reactions (there were several). My dog got a few ticks over the years ... and this stuff was STILL killings ticks TWO YEARS after her last dose. It's poison, no matter how you look at it. And it's affecting pets WAY longer than the manufacturer says....
I lost 3 of my cats 1.5 month after receiving bravecto spot on. They died within days from each other. Beautiful, healthy cats. It happened 2 years ago and I will never forget and forgive my loss. I was unable to report it as the dirty pharma as well as the representative of bravecto denied the cause of death was due to their poison. There will come a day they will have to answer to God for their crimes.

What is a safe and effective suggestion for tick prevention? I live in a wooded area which has periods of weeks/ months with very very heavy tick infestation. My dogs love to walk. I keep them on a leash and try to avoid any tall grasses but they always pick up ticks. I’ve used Wondercide products. Very hopeful for advice here.

The Vet I use to use recommended Bravecto AFTER I said my cats have had adverse reactions to flea treatment and I prefer not to use them. The Vet still made the recommendation. Is there a way to locate the lawsuit? I would like to send it to my former Vet.
I’m worried that the vet may offer these for my dogos (lifelong) issue he is going to have ear and paw issues (so the vet says) Any ideas on natural alternatives. I don’t want him on these. I’ve been trying my best to keep on top of it. 😮
Tell them NO. You are the boss, not the vet. They are providing a service to you and you don’t have to agree to all their services. Take your dog somewhere else if the vet gets an attitude. You are your dog’s advocate, use your words and actions to protect them.
Whatever you do, don't let them give that Liberia are something like that. I I quit giving my dog any of the pharmaceuticals from the veterinarian. Anything he got was holistic, but I was too late because he got cancer anyways, and now he's gone. So I will never go to a regular vet.I will go only to a holistic vet, and I will never use any kind of pharmaceutical unless it's just of the utmost importance but only for a short time. This is awful, criminal. Our dog is 5. At first the vet recommended monthly Nexguard. Our dog didn't like it, but I tried, then they suggested Bravest as only 4 times a year, so n to as bothersome to administer, so I said OK, but it got so difficult to get him to take it that I stopped, and started giving him a homeopathic solution every try fortnight (I lived in France, and this was a local product from a naturopathic vet an hour away). This seemed to work well for 1.5 years, but then we moved to the Congo in Africa, and my dog got ticks immediately - lots of them. The vet here said that the only thing that works is monthly Nexguard and that the regular tick infestation could kill him, so we're back on the monthly Nexguard. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thank you for your work.
She has before, I remember she said she had a 💡 moment when she realized her mother was giving her pet Flea & Tic topical year round as a Preventive- that's entirely unnecessary she said as there is very specific set of weather conditions ovrr a two week period that 😢must be met for tics to come out and breed, therefore there's no reason to treat in winter at all for example. If you're not the type to hike in the woods, but walk your dog around the block on cement sidewalks, those two dog parents have totally different risk assessments to consider, etc. I think the gist of it is if you a tic, take it off, kill it, do a deep search, inside and around the house in regular areas for a nest of them maybe, and clean the house, bedding etc And Diatomaceous Earth lightly sprinkled into the pet fur and about the house will kill off anything else. Easy with it, safe & natural but you don't want them huffing it up their noses, it will cause irritation in the sinuses for a while.
I gave my malshi half the amount for her weight. It actually still worked at preventing fleas and ticks and she never had a side effect. That being said, I still feel very uncomfortable giving her chemical treatment, but nothing natural worked for her, which broke my heart. But she's in God's hands. I put her in Simparica, the single and not the trio, and so far so good. Also giving her half. My sheltie is on half of his Bravecto with effectiveness and no symptoms. So I'm just curious if the dose is twice as much as it should be, which is NOT okay.
How about some facts and also tell me what will be an alternative that is effective against ticks. I have had too many dogs whose lives have been shortened by Lyme disease or crippled by the severe arthritis that comes from the disease. Nothing like carrying a 50 lb dog outside so she can go to the bathroom because she can barely walk.

I have been using a spray that i mix cedar oil, water, sesame oil and lemon oil. I have two springer spaniels live in Florida and have not had any issues in 4 years. My dogs are outside with me a good part of every day. ( I’m retired). However this does not work for ticks. I just check them really well after a hike.
@ - I googled holistic vet for my entire state. There was only one in my half of the state and it’s an hour away. I’m going to that one. Hopefully I won’t have to go often.

My vet recommended Bravecto for my cat. I used it once and my cat didn't urinate for 3 days. Never again. Then my vet recommended Credelio. After 3 months of use, my cat developed severe constipation and very hard, dry stools. I had no idea that Bravecto and Credelio were the same thing, just in a different form of application. I'm so glad that the manufacturers are being sued. It should be permanently banned.

I went to the vet this week with my dogs sick tummy issue. The first thing they wanted to do was argue with me over a rabies vaccine, then over her yearly boosters. I don't give my dog those. She had her puppy shots and two rabies in her life. They actually almost refused to see her and argued with me. I was so mad then I finally said you going to check her or not because I'm fixing to leave. These vets were not like this in the past. They all try this. I don't even do heart worm meds since I have them checked twice a year. Its a shame what has happened to them. Why would I poison my dog 12 months out of the year. Even people doctors are the same. All pill and shot pushers! I take a sick dog to the vet to rule out some things and the first thing they want to do is inject my dog with multiple vaccines. That is dumb!

Thank you, Dr Judy, for this video. Wow, I wish I had known about this lawsuit. I've kept all my records during that awful time after I gave Callie Bravecto.
Over the 7 week timespan from giving her the chew to finally euthanizing her, Callie suffered from seizures, vomiting, diarrhea (both eventually became bloody) tremors, and neurological episodes where she would go up to a wall and bark and growl at it as well as just staring. Her balance was affected, and she stopped eating. Blood tests revealed her organs were failing.
This was all back in 2017 and I'm still so angry about it. The first Merck vet I spoke to said "yes, that certainly sounds like an adverse reaction to Bravecto since it started within a 30 minute period". After that one admission, I got "this is the first time we're hearing about this type of reaction". I was able to tell them that was a lie because I had names and case numbers of other dogs/pet owners who had the same experience.
I will NEVER give my dog ANY vaccine or drug now, no matter how much pushback I receive from vets. I'm scared to death when she gets her rabies vaccines. The guilt I still have for believing my vet is something I will never get over.

I put down a natural powder on my carpet only once a year and my dogs has never had fleas since unless I forget to put it down and only took one time for me to forget to not forget anymore. I absolutely hate myself literally for the times when I was younger that I didn't search out information about V's and meds.
It took all the pets that sadly died years ago from contaminated pet foods for me to start searching and such an eye opener what I learned about their foods AND OURS! And it sadly took one of my dog's getting Kidney Failure after one of the V's for me to search about them, too I am the type of person that will never forgive myself even though it's the vets that should know better to tell us!
Sadly, we don't have a 100 percent Holistic vet in my area and any vet that calls themselves Holistic that doesn't seem to know all the dangers with V's and meds I have to wonder why they would say they are Holistic! I 💖Dr. Judy. Every Vet should be like her.

We had a Reg Chesapeake Bay Retriever and gave NexGuard monthly. At age 2 she got “epilepsy” with 4-5 grand mal seizures over 3-4 days with total bladder loss as well. The “odd” part was that these always occurred in sleep (not what epilepsy usually does) and were CYCLICAL MONTHLY. No joke. Every month on time. The vet never put together the fact we gave NexGuard monthly and I never caught it either. We did what the vet said (phenobarbital - and yes we did all the vaxes they recommended) which reduced the seizures to 1-2 grand mals over 1-2 days monthly. At age 4 she went into status epilepticus and died. She was our special boys companion and he watched it all. 😭 It was a few years later when my SILs beloved dog went into liver failure a few weeks after starting Bravecto. The vet figured out what was happening but her dog died. It was reported. Also a beloved dog of her special boy. That’s when it hit me that it was the NexGuard I was giving our dog monthly back then. We immediately stopped using those products on our new dog. I think it is criminal. This second special dog now is 11 and is dying of cancer at her vax site. We are putting her out of her misery in a week I can’t imagine what our boy will do - he loves her so much and doesn’t understand. Our newest puppy got puppy shots (at breeder) and we now see a Holistic Vet for her. Never again. I found you and other holistic vets and it has completely changed how we deal with our dogs. We also now raw feed. Thank you. ❤️❤️😘
Hi Dr. Judy I live in Canada and last year my shih tzu was prescribed Bravecto by a low income vet and my dog after the first topical treatment was very lathargic for a week after the treatment. I contacted the vet got to return the other two doses and was told that this was a very safe product. Based on how my dog was feeling it was not and I would never administer this topical treatment to my dog again. Thanks for sharing and how do Canadians become part of the class action suit because it does not just involve American's and European's it involves Canadians as well. Thanks for all the great info.

I gave my dog Bravecto on the advice of my vet. He lost his appetite for 3 months. Not a coincidence. It was the only difference and it was in January (winter in Ohio). I didn't know better and then I started doing a lot of research. Found you and others to help guide. He is no longer on any preventatives. I just wish more vets cared about these dangerous drugs. I did also switch vets after he made a comment about online vets advice.

Thanks for the info! My vet really pushed it on me for my two dogs, so that I bought it. $60 , but I decided to go with my gut instinct and throw it away. I'm glad I did now. I made flea powder with, baking soda, corn starch, and essential oils.. Sprinkled it on, and blew it out the next day and gave them a bath. Then reapplied the next day, and blew it out with a high powered dog dryer. Fleas were gone. I did give the Bravecto to the cat. He thankfully had no adverse effects. And it did stop his itching immediately.
So what do I use?? My dogs get covered with ticks in the summer!!
My chihuahua whippet mix died last year June 21st. It all started with bravecto. He had a seizure 11 days after taking this. I didn't put this together until after he had a second seizure exactly 11 days after next dose which was three months later. I took him to a specialist and they checked spinal fluid ran imaging and they couldn't find anything. Of course this started his medication. Right after all this My son found an article saying bravecto could cause seizures so I never gave it again. My furbaby finally ended up with kidney disease. I will never give my pets any medicine unless it's holistic. I dud a deep dive and found Dr. Judy Morgan and Dr. Jones.
My friend for the first time ever, gave her two dog's braveto and within a week both dogs died! Different ages, different breed unrelated and they died within a week!

I’m soooo infuriated - a few months after my pup’s first dose of bravecto she started having seizures. Never once was it advised to stop bravecto. After thousands at the vet, I stopped all preventive meds & the last 2y she’s been on daily zonisamide to prevent seizures. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I woud be mad as hell as well and they lead you to believe it is something else causing the seizures and now you are treating your dog with another drug to stop the seizure, now how messed up is that! I pray that once you puppy if off all medications that you can stop giving this zonisamide as well, hopefully the seizures will disappear as well. Thanks for sharing your story, people need to really hear what is going on here.
Oh I am so sorry to hear that, I totally believe Bravecto to be the cause of seizures in yours and so many dogs. 😞 Please try giving your doggy Milk thistle, it is a natural remedy that helps to rid the liver of toxins left behind from these evil demonic meds that vets push. My brother's Chi-weenie had seizures almost 2 - 3 times a week, he was prescribed Phenobarbital by his vet, which is another evil drug next to Gabapentin and it did nothing but further harm his dog. Finally I convinced him to try weening his dog slowly off those meds and start adding milk thistle to his food and home cook for him, after 2 months, the seizures were reduced from 2 - 3 a week to twice a month or sometimes none at all, and he is doing better and better every day. My brother was amazed, he was so happy that his doggie was having fewer and fewer seizures! It takes a huge leap of faith to trust your instincts over a vets intimidation tactics, but it really is easy to heal not only our dogs "naturally" but us as well. No I am not a vet, but I am a pet parent of two beautiful healthy Shih-Tzus who loves animals and want the best healthy lives for them.🙂
I am angry too, my Shih-Tzu Buddy was on Bravecto for two years, thankfully I never noticed any neuro issues, however, he had constant digestive upset, diarrhea and threw up his food, until I finally started doing more research into what Bravecto was, and I was horrified at the stories I read and the side effects they caused. I started looking into all the natural ways to prevent fleas and ticks from holistic vets online like Dr. Judy, Dr. Andrew, Dr. Karen and educated myself for months, reading and watching videos, trying natural remedies for this or that and with their help and advice, it has worked. When I stopped using Bravecto, I started home cooking for him and adding Milk thistle to his food as a preventive to keep his gut system clear of toxins. It took 6 months after stopping Bravecto that his health turned around immensely, he ate well, pooped well and throwing up was GONE! It's been 8 years now and Buddy is a healthy 10 year old with the energy of a 5 year old. I encourage you to find a holistic vet in your area even if you have to take them 25 miles to the nearest one.

I am a breeder and not a year goes by where one of my puppies is permanently damaged or dead because of these pesticides. These are just the ones that are sadly reported to us. Idk how many people are afraid to tell us because we go out of our way to inform everyone multiple times. When these dogs have seizures vets are so quick to blame them on genetics and breeding practices. We grill our owners not to use them but so many vets convince my clients that my verbal and written warnings are not valid. 😢

Both of my pomeranians had seizures within hours of my giving them bravecto. My veterinarian would not acknowledge that it was from the bravecto. I stopped bravecto and any further flea/tick treatments that were not natural.
a few years ago, my dog developed a cancerous tumor on top of the skin where he was given the Bravecto topical treatment. Has anyone else had that happen? His health went downhill after that and he died about a year later.
Check into medical grade Hydrogen peroxide as a direct skin application. Your pet is gone, but good info.

My dog was on Bravecto as a compliment to interceptor when I took him off trifexis as the vet suggested. He is now off the Bravecto also and has been for at least six months due to having bladder problems for about a year now that i haven't been able to regulate naturally either. And rather than the vet suggesting that it could have been the Bravecto I get flack every time we have to catherize because I refuse to use the Rx SO food. I would like to be able to confidently figure out the correlation though.

Yes!! I rarely use flea prevention products with my cat because he doesn’t go out. But I had to do it sometimes, like a couple months ago when he started losing fur between his shoulders which is a sign of fleas. I wish I could find something that I can trust as I want to take him on walks all the time but I worry about fleas.

Can you please give us a list of little guns? Two summers ago we were totally consumed by fleas and I tried holistic stuff the entire summer. DE, homemade sprays from many many holistic channels, nontoxic things for the house in the yard and none of it worked. It was a terrible terrible summer.
I wish she would list the tiny little guns too! We live in the SW USA. DE didnt do anything. I have had pretty good results with 1/4 TSP fresh garlic everyday, plus frequent baths during spring, summer & fall. I chk her alot. If I am at my wits end I have given her half dose of nexgard every 6-8 weeks, she's had 3 doses total spread over 2 summers and I didnt know much about toxic chemicals. I am aware freq baths dry the skin but better the dry skin than fleas & ticks. Fleas & ticks are a huge prob in my area. I put out a yellow sulphur block lick for the deer so it kills deer ticks, other wildlife lick it too.

How does one get included in the class action lawsuit? My vet gave my dog this poison after an FDA alert!! My dog had a serious medical history including liver failure and they made me feel like a failure of a pet parent because my dog had a flea, and I use bathing and wondercide….he suffered for years and still had tremors they have improved but he still has them.
I constantly tell my dog parent clientele to educate themselves on this poison & to PLEASE use holistic flea & tick options which are easily found (I send not only Dr. Judy products, but other suggestions as well). Not only did this happen to my last dog who after 8 years of blindly giving it to my coyote cattle dog as following vet’s directions in which she suffered from ongoing seizures, but as of today I’ve have lost 3 dogs in my pack to death due cluster seizures, in which I believe was a direct result from neurotoxins.
On a separate subject Dr. Judy, can you speak on antibiotics called Fluoroquinolones ?, I’m not sure if it’s called ‘Baytril’ for animals & the ADR’s they may experience 😮

I don't know about fluoroquinolones in pets but in humans they're known to cause tendon ruptures. I have put a list of drugs in my husbands phone that he is not allow to take and is not to allow me to be given if I'm incapacitated (unless they are absolutely need to save life) and fluoroquinolones are on that list.
So sorry to hear about your doggies 😞I recommend adding milk thistle to their food, it is a natural detox from these chemical poisons they call safe and effective for our dogs. I live in the UK... For my feline companion, I spent months trying the Natural topical deterrents and Natural spray deterrents in my flat/apartment and also the 1/2 small clove of garlic 3 days per ... My cat had to suffer for several months while I tried the Natural deterrents and they did not work...! Recently, I had to resort to Frontline Plus 4 weekly spot-on treatment and Indorex defence household for the flat/apartment due to the heaviness of infestations of mice and rats within the buildings structure... I am currently fighting the local authority/Council who are my landlords to address the infestations, as it is is out of my control... but it was only when I started using the chemical based treatments in the past week, that the problem has eased and my feline companion has finally got some relief. I am sure the Natural based will work once the buildings infestation of mice and rats are cleared
This stuff is awful! I gave it to a dog for a few months, then abandoned it after watching all the reactions (there were several). My dog got a few ticks over the years ... and this stuff was STILL killings ticks TWO YEARS after her last dose. It's poison, no matter how you look at it. And it's affecting pets WAY longer than the manufacturer says....
I lost 3 of my cats 1.5 month after receiving bravecto spot on. They died within days from each other. Beautiful, healthy cats. It happened 2 years ago and I will never forget and forgive my loss. I was unable to report it as the dirty pharma as well as the representative of bravecto denied the cause of death was due to their poison. There will come a day they will have to answer to God for their crimes.

What is a safe and effective suggestion for tick prevention? I live in a wooded area which has periods of weeks/ months with very very heavy tick infestation. My dogs love to walk. I keep them on a leash and try to avoid any tall grasses but they always pick up ticks. I’ve used Wondercide products. Very hopeful for advice here.

The Vet I use to use recommended Bravecto AFTER I said my cats have had adverse reactions to flea treatment and I prefer not to use them. The Vet still made the recommendation. Is there a way to locate the lawsuit? I would like to send it to my former Vet.

Tell them NO. You are the boss, not the vet. They are providing a service to you and you don’t have to agree to all their services. Take your dog somewhere else if the vet gets an attitude. You are your dog’s advocate, use your words and actions to protect them.
Whatever you do, don't let them give that Liberia are something like that. I I quit giving my dog any of the pharmaceuticals from the veterinarian. Anything he got was holistic, but I was too late because he got cancer anyways, and now he's gone. So I will never go to a regular vet.I will go only to a holistic vet, and I will never use any kind of pharmaceutical unless it's just of the utmost importance but only for a short time. This is awful, criminal. Our dog is 5. At first the vet recommended monthly Nexguard. Our dog didn't like it, but I tried, then they suggested Bravest as only 4 times a year, so n to as bothersome to administer, so I said OK, but it got so difficult to get him to take it that I stopped, and started giving him a homeopathic solution every try fortnight (I lived in France, and this was a local product from a naturopathic vet an hour away). This seemed to work well for 1.5 years, but then we moved to the Congo in Africa, and my dog got ticks immediately - lots of them. The vet here said that the only thing that works is monthly Nexguard and that the regular tick infestation could kill him, so we're back on the monthly Nexguard. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thank you for your work.

Flea & Tic topical year round as a Preventive- that's entirely unnecessary she said as there is very specific set of weather conditions ovrr a two week period that 😢must be met for tics to come out and breed, therefore there's no reason to treat in winter at all for example.
If you're not the type to hike in the woods, but walk your dog around the block on cement sidewalks, those two dog parents have totally different risk assessments to consider, etc.
I think the gist of it is if you a tic, take it off, kill it, do a deep search, inside and around the house in regular areas for a nest of them maybe, and clean the house, bedding etc

I gave my malshi half the amount for her weight. It actually still worked at preventing fleas and ticks and she never had a side effect. That being said, I still feel very uncomfortable giving her chemical treatment, but nothing natural worked for her, which broke my heart. But she's in God's hands. I put her in Simparica, the single and not the trio, and so far so good. Also giving her half. My sheltie is on half of his Bravecto with effectiveness and no symptoms. So I'm just curious if the dose is twice as much as it should be, which is NOT okay.
I never did like those bravecto commercials, they were just weird
How about some facts and also tell me what will be an alternative that is effective against ticks. I have had too many dogs whose lives have been shortened by Lyme disease or crippled by the severe arthritis that comes from the disease. Nothing like carrying a 50 lb dog outside so she can go to the bathroom because she can barely walk.
So wholistic in our life. So disappointed with finding a wholistic vet in our area that doesn’t take your right and left arms. Wish we could find one. Tired of being made to feel like a criminal pet owner. Any suggestions ?

Can you please give us a list of little guns? Two summers ago we were totally consumed by fleas and I tried holistic stuff the entire summer. DE, homemade sprays from many many holistic channels, nontoxic things for the house in the yard and none of it worked. It was a terrible terrible summer.

I have been using a spray that i mix cedar oil, water, sesame oil and lemon oil. I have two springer spaniels live in Florida and have not had any issues in 4 years. My dogs are outside with me a good part of every day. ( I’m retired). However this does not work for ticks. I just check them really well after a hike.

How do you find a holistic vet? Im in east central florida. Not one locally.
@ - I googled holistic vet for my entire state. There was only one in my half of the state and it’s an hour away. I’m going to that one. Hopefully I won’t have to go often.
