Were these lyrics all written by Bach? If so, his love and devotion for our Savior was just as beautiful as the heavenly sounds he was anointed by YHWH to make.

Millions of Roman Catholics belong to Jesus Christ, but millions have never been born again, no matter how pious they may look and act. In the same way, millions of Protestants go through the motions without knowing God for themselves, while millions more have come to Christ and his cross for pardon and eternal life.
