The sun is setting so early I need my decorations up early 😂I feel like the sun is already nearly gone around 3:30 here so I’m always thankful for a room or colorful and lights and cute silly decorations 🥰🥰✨

Hello Paula. Your. Xmas Cardigan is looking Lovely, as a knitter from the 70’s and learnt to knit with pieced garments, you are absolutely correct with your increases, KFKB for an increase and K2TOG for your decreases, the plain sleeves will look good, I would have done the same. Happy Birthday 🎂 ❤
First off, happy birthday Paula. I loved your comment where you questioned whether you were speaking your own language...whatever it is i understand it so no worries there. I got your point about pattern handholding, its a good point because even some experienced knitters may be use to more detailed instructions and come unstuck if the instructions are not what they are use to. No thermals required here in New Zealand so im envious of your temperature, knitting in our climate is limited to air-conditioning. I love your Christmas decor, doesn't matter when you decorate its your house and i doubt there is a law that states when it should be done. Each to their own i say.😊

Love the cardigan and I love how you announce it’s 100%acrylic! (No need for a second mortgage to knit it 😂) The red colour is so nice I might have to get some. You got me hooked on stollen after last year, I’d never had it before, and this week both mayo coleslaw and sourdough crumpets may have fallen into my trolley. You’re a bad influence 😀
The cardigan is amazing and I’m on the same wavelength as you with knitting terms. They seemed to have changed over the years but achieve the same effect! I’m looking forward to Vlogmas.

I had that cardigan on recently at a retreat as it was a sample. They’re lucky to get it back! 😂 Yes, I understand what you mean about the patterns. I learned in the early ‘70’s when patterns were ‘normal’. I think there’s a bit too much reinventing the wheel sometimes nowadays.
I have my first ever yarny advents this year. I loved your Attick24 blanket you did with the white in between so I have bought some off white 4ply and will be doing the same. Thank you.

Your cardigan looks lovely Paula. I bought the Fireside Blanket kit and it comes with the Highland Heathers yarn. I was surprised at how lovely and woolly it feels. It will make a beautiful cardigan. I remember all the old patterns and knitting in pieces. I do think they knit up faster, however, I don’t like sewing them up, and they can sit for ages waiting to be pieced together. Then I wonder why I left it so long! 😅 Knitting front and back (kfb) is my favourite increase. Hope you have a lovely birthday with lots of treats and knitting! 🧶🥳🍰

I’m knitting a petite knits novice junior cardigan for my granddaughter age 6 using sweetheart yarn and French knickers floof from lay family yarn, its absolutely stunning so soft she’s going to love it.
I Made one before in rainbow she calls it her favourite cardigan! 😸

When you do your embroidery on the bags, do you use a hoop to hold the fabric taut while stitching?

Love the Christmas jumper. I have knit colourwork Christmas jumpers using acrylic, I blocked them by hovering the steam iron above the fabric to help even it out

Love the cardigan! Absolutely beautiful. I missed you at the EAYF this year, I was getting over something myself, still weak and wobbly, so my lovely husband drove me there and just waited. I really missed you, I think we only live a few miles away from each other and it would have been lovely to meet you. Next year, however….both of us are staying in until then!😂
I know exactly what you are talking about x I am more than 20 years older than you and was taught with “old” patterned .. NO hand holding .. and I think it makes you able to adapt and make just about anything. PLUS I prefer straight needles x Keep on doing your thing xx lol

I do most of all. Even joined knitting groups at the library.

I have to leave tomorrow to help out a family member, so I won’t be here to open my teddy bear advent calendar for the first several days. I’m normally very good about waiting, but I couldn’t help myself and took a peek at the Christmas bear. He’s glorious and I just hugged him like crazy. People always tell me I put our Christmas decorations up too soon, I've told them not to visit if it offends them that much!
