I am with Jordan, the tour pack needs an arrow on it. Love these updates. And yes as many others here already said, I would love to see you covering your rides with Jordan more often. I am sure you ride a lot with him already without the cameras. Happy new year from Germany, Andy.
Hey Jess, Great job on the install, bike looks awesome. As far as a tour pack rattle, if it’s the tour pack and mounts that aren’t tight, the rear mounts on the docking system are actually oblong and you can loosen them up and rotate them slightly so that the receiver part of the TP fits snugger.
Ugh - I totally feel you on the frustrations!! I tried to install hand guards and a lowering link on my Honda 300L, I think I was overthinking and getting myself stressed. Needed a reset and to talk it through with the hubby. Everything went smooth after that. It helped that he agreed with my frustrations! Lol
The black round thing that the tour pack latches too isn’t adjusted right if you have to hammer it on it. It’s actually slightly oval so you need to take it off and slightly rotate it, and tighten it back down and try again.
Well done Jess for having a go at installing the leg-protection, hope you kept the box for the cat 😻 And lovely to see you and Jordan riding together, and probably the 1st time sharing a kiss on camera 💋 Stay safe and, as always loving the videos 👍🇬🇧
Really enjoy seeing the two of you riding together. Super excited to see what this year brings both of you! Grandma Glide, a name I could envision ShadeTree coming up with.
Fantastic video! 🖤🖤 Its nice to see I'm not the only one that struggles with installs. My sissy bar had the same effect in me and I felt so bad about it because I could change the oil on my 05 Monte Carlo but not something with just a few bolts. Then I realized motorcycle parts will either come with bolts/screws that are too short and parts sometimes are just plain missing. You did good and your videos look really incredible these days. I'm so proud of you. Keep kicking ass!
Great to see you together Jess and Jordan. And now that Jordan has his own channel he is very natural around the cameras. Well done with the install despite the tears. You can do things you just have to be determined and do it.....🤗👏👏👏👏
Get well Jess! Motorcycle riding season is coming! As far as motorcycle camping, I only do it once a year and that is when I ride to Sturgis. I use a large tent with a air bed so it’s too large to carry on my motorcycle so I ship it to the rv camping park in Sturgis. I spend a week there and want to be comfortable while staying there. I’m 69 years old and don’t do ground sleeping to well these days. I do enjoy hearing about your camping adventures though so keep on doing it!
Hey Jess. I literally own the same bike, 2018 RGS white‘ish. Installed the Harley lower fairings, and holy crap it so changed my ride. Yes much better in the cold and if ya get caught out in rain….yup (same). Also installed the lower profile front fender, huge upgrade, completely changed the “look”. IMO, if you “invest” the dollars 💵 for “Legend” fork springs and shocks, you literally won’t recognize your bike, completely changed the handling and “pushing it hard” performance. Ride Safe and Ride Often 👍🏼
What a cool video !Really enjoyed seeing you two out riding together , then watching the install, Appa looks amazing , sure you will enjoy the added wind protection and luggage capacity. The garage looks awesome also, glad you got heat out there! Thanks for sharing 👍
Jess, speaking from experience from installing many aftermarket tour packs if the quick-release rack that you bought is an aftermarket you might want to think about sending it back and getting one directly from Harley. I have found that they don't make noise.
Looks great! Those lowers will help keep some of the rain off your legs, too. Take the backrest pad to Top Stitch Upholstery in Pain City and have it covered to match the seat. Be sure to take the seat so he can match it. I just did a color-matched inner fairing and I love the new look!
That was amazing seeing you both riding together Jess. Also, you can do whatever you put your mind to, just gotta have more faith in your learning abilities. you are an amazing lady. God bless, and a Happy New Year to you both.
i love the fact that you aren't scared to attempt any installs ,that's awesome, way to go...Mental breakdowns, we as in i call that inventing new swear words during installs...i am a big fan of lower fairings, they just add so much POP of color up front.. Tour Pak i prefer the chopped, the King is too big for me, now you will have to get more Arrows to put on your Tour Pak...Best thing is, nobody else will have a Road Glide like yours, make it your own is awesome..Keep these great videos up, thx Deno
Just a note about adding a tour pack that you may have noticed already. I added one to my '07 RoadKing a while back. It set mine up to be removable so I don't have to leave it on. But if you have anything in it, especially a bunch of stuff for a trip, it really changes the handling cuz of all that weight up high. Plus, you'll want to air up the rear shocks a bit when carrying a passenger or lots of luggage. New here. Nice wheels. :). Enjoy the ride!
You and hubby together on video is a nice change. You may want to consider group rides on your channel. Sometimes the spontaneous banter is very entertaining.
Send that backrest to saddlemen 😬 they can get you set up to match! They are super cool about custom seats. And shoot me a message if you need the clips for those fairing inserts. I have the complete inserts and covers just sitting on the shelf from a stereo install I did for a customer. Cover shipping costs and they are yours 🤙🏻
Riding together is so awesome. My wife can ride with me now on her Piaggio scooter. We were able to go on some rides together after she got her endorsement before the weather turned cold. Good to see you tow out there on the roads together. I received a tour pack for Christmas and am excited to get it installed. 👍🏼👊🏼
Bike looks fantastic!!!! Take the seat for the tour pack and your seat to a reputable upholstery place and they can recover the back seat to match! it will look fantastic! love the videos! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Hint from personal experience. Do the initial install off cameral first. Don't tighten anything down. Take it apart. Do the install on camera while you describe the pitfalls and cautions that you learned about during your off camera install. More Work, but it makes a great video. That method works exceptionally well for instructional videos. For winter videos it might be a good idea to hit all the dealerships and independent shops down to about Bluegrass Harley or even down to Lexington. You can introduce the people to your viewers. They get some advertising in the winter and you get some new contacts and resources along with some nice content. With the independent shops you can go into what kind of services they offer and a general overview of how they operate, location, phone numbers, all that. Wins all around.
I had the same issue as Jordan did with the mounting points on the Tour Pac. I loosened the mounting points and rotated them and found a sweet spot where they fit perfectly. I have an OE tour Pac from H-D that is a quick release like yours and it's great for trips. I bought it mainly so that I can lock everything up and go for a hike in the national and state parks without having to worry so much about someone stealing my stuff. I also bought from H-D a lock for the mount so that no one can steal the whole tour Pac. When I get home it comes off so that the bike will look sleek again rather than a Geezer Glide. Ride safe!
You're gonna love all the storage in the tourpak, and the protection from the lowers. i ride a RG Limited, and had RG Ultras in the past, so I've always had these on my bike. I considered getting a kit so I can detatch the TP, but I always have things in there, and the quick access has me spoiled to the point that I don't know if i would actually take it off. Maybe you can have the back rest pad covered in the same color as your seat. Also, an arrow on top of the tourpak would be a nice touch.
Great to see you two enjoying the road together. You should do longer rides for each other's channels. On the tour pack install, the pins on the docking hardware on your bike are slightly eccentric. if you loosen the center bolt a bit, you should be able to rotate the bushing for an easier fit. that way you can undo the lock smoother and not carry a hammer around for when you want to install.
You’ll absolutely love having the Tour Pack. Especially for your longer trips. Also, for Jordan, 1/4 cup = 2 oz., 1/2 cup = 4 oz., 3/4 cup = 6 oz. & 1 cup = 8 oz.
agree, you need an arrow on the tour pack. I'm sure you know, a good way to not get frustrated when doing a project is to walk through the directions with all the parts to make sure nothing is missing. Appa looks great with his traveling packs on board
Men have similar frustrations with installs and repairs with a bit more yelling and cussing. Also, Like when Jordan was working on it with you, having a buddy help makes everything a little more calm.
Great video lass. You and Jordan out cruzing together, what a great feeling im sure it was. Road glide is looking awesome with the tour pack and lowers. Ride on and peace out!!
Nice job on the lowers - I run the soft ones on my Street Glide, and they surely make a difference. I'll be interested to see if you keep them on in the Summer and if they cook your legs.
50 degrees? LUCKY!!! It snowed and then has been near zero degrees since. Fortunately a good time for my bike to be in the shop (2019 FLHR.. oil sumping bad.. fried crank sensor.. so fixing the issue and and sinxe they’re in there …. Cam, tune, head pipes) Gonna be running and sounding FANTASTIC!) Can’t wait to be riding again. The car is fun but I need to be on the bike
Awesome! I just bought a 2021 Road Glide Limited, River Rock & Gray Denim. The lowers stop a lot of wind. Your bike is coming along great..................Cheers!
That tour pak looks awesome. I also run my tour pak W/O the passenger seat. I installed some eyebolts and rubber washers in the tour pak holes and use those with a cargo net to strap down my luggage on the passenger seat. Good to see Jordan riding with you too. Happy New Year !
It’s always cool when you dual blog, especially with Jordan. Also, good on ya for taking a step back and breathing when the install wasn’t going your way. Bike looks great with the new parts.
Yeah, when I got my Yamaha Eluder I couldn't believe what a difference lower fairings make. It's not always ideal in the Florida summer when you're trying to get as much as as possible but on a cold winter night it's a game changer.
Bike looks great!! Trunk kinda gives the look a bit of balance with the big fairing. I got a lift table for Christmas from my wife. Makes wrenching so much better. Cool to see the hubby out with you.
I installed lowers on my road glide a while back, don't feel bad, those things are awkward and very particular about how they wanna fit on the bike, but sooo worth it! Absolutely love mine too.
More Jordan and you riding videos good to see you guys out and about .I think you are going to love the lowers not only do they keep the wind off your legs but also the rain make it much more pleasant for those long rides .Happy New Year Jess & Jordan all the best
I got to say I'm really loving your channel. It's great to see Jordan in the video. You definitely need to put him in more videos. You look like the sweet girl next door, but who can out ride most guys on miles.
The grandma glide in full effect! You definitely need to put the arrow on top the tour pack. Looks awesome though. So jealous! Lol cool to see you guys ride together.
Also Saddleman makes the matching seat covers for your tour pack. Just let them know which size backrest you have and color and stiching and theyll hook you right up. Then you can just take it to an upolstery shop and have it put on.
Something you can do to help get grip quicker so you don't have to worry is hit the tires with some 50 grit (or even 24 if you can find it) sand paper until it all turns grey and then you should be fine. The part that gets you is both the mold release and the outer super hard layer of rubber from the rubber being up against the hot metal during molding/vulcanization. Once you get that scuffed off it's a lot safer to ride on. Also just hitting it with some good wax and grease remover can often help a lot with removing the mold release spray. (or super hot water and Dawn soap even)
We all go through the same frustrations. It just makes it that much more satisfying when we get it done and just look and say, "Darn, that looks good."
Instead of hammering on the mounts for the tour pack, loosen the hardware on the mount itself and turn the plastic bushing. Believe me, I've done many of these and for some unknown f'n reason you have to turn the bushing. When the hardware is loose put the pack on turn the bushing till it allows you to properly lock the mount in. tighten the hardware back up.
You probably already know about this, but the quick detach hardware can be adjusted both side to side and front to back…each black plastic piece can be flipped over to adjust the width, and can be rotated (they aren’t concentric) to adjust front to back tension…let me know if you need more explanation…this would help the tightness of the tour pack on the detach hardware
Awesome to see the two of you riding together and the views of Columbus while you ride. Also glad to see that upgrades are a "challenge" for everyone.. lol. Really like the return to your basics please keep it up.. wonderfull !!
Wow dude! Looking so good! Loving watching the vision come to life! Rest in PEACE Betty White 😢 bringing the next generation of golden girls to life! 🥰 I love grannies!!
Tourpak mounting points are elliptical. You have to rotate them and find the spot where the docking points and latches install and remove smoothly. Otherwise you'll fight it and beat on it every time you want to mount or remove the tourpak.
Thanks for keeping real, you rock and I love that I’m not the only one that has melt downs trying to put things together. ps weather in Australia is Fantastic this time of the year lol
The new additions look great, nice job on the installation. It's always super satisfying to see and feel the difference that you made yourself. Ride safe
Kinda like a puzzle putting them in. I have Kuryakin Highway pegs. The big bolt got in the way. Have to switch to the Harley ones with a nut on the other side. Or get the highway pegs that connected to floorboards. I think they’re called the Adam Sandoval ones from Ciro 3D.
a) 16:44 is worth the tears you went through to get there. Remember that the next time you feel like you can't push through. You're capable of way more than you give yourself credit for. Building up your own YT channel to the point you could quit your day job and follow your dream is a damn sight harder than turning a couple wrenches! b) I'd consider dying that backrest to match the brown in the seat and the rest of the bike. SEM makes a host of dyes, I bet they have one that's close enough. The key to getting upholstery die to look good is in the prep.
Someone has probably already pointed this out but the rubber bushings are actually oblong so if you loosen the bolt going through it and turn it your quick detach will close on like butter. I also reccomend the HD locks for them so your tour pack doesnt get stolen. Ask me how i know these things lol.
It's always good to see you work on your stuff. You really appreciate it more taking something to a shop if you've tried to work on stuff before. The bike looks so much bigger with the tour pack and the new lowers. Definitely going to need a new arrow for the tour pack.
I have a 21 roadglide limited. Coming off a 17 ultra limited, a tour pack and the lower fairings have become a necessity. Being able to lock you helment, etc is a game changer. The lower fairings are great in cold weather. Full dresser if you like to really ride.
The bushings on the mounting hardware are oblong (tour pack). Just rotate them and it should get rid of the rattle. It should not be too tight or too lose. I hope this helps you.
Looks great! I also got a Hogworkz tour pack, which was perfectly color-matched to my Midnight Crimson 2021 RGS. I also agree that you need an Appa arrow on that tour pack. Happy riding!
Dang young lady,,,, that Tour Pack is huge. Forget the 🐈, you could pack off a dead body in that thing !!! lol Good job on the install. Glad to see you and Jordan out riding together. 👍👍 Stay safe !!!
Things to remember if you run into these problems, just walk away for a few minutes. Just taking that break usually helps me get the job done. I can be struggling for an hour, walk away go get a soda or something, come back and things fall into place. Glad to see you get it done great job.

It's awesome to see you two riding together... All the best for the new year, guys!
Happy new year! Thank you!
I’m looking to get a trunk for my 2008 Yamaha 1300 tourer but I’m hoping it has lights on it!! I forgot to mention that my motorcycle is a V-Star
I love when installation instructions are clear as mud! Sometimes you just got to think about it a little and it falls together. Good job Jess!
YOU DID IT
I am with Jordan, the tour pack needs an arrow on it. Love these updates. And yes as many others here already said, I would love to see you covering your rides with Jordan more often. I am sure you ride a lot with him already without the cameras. Happy new year from Germany, Andy.

I imagine that the lowers are a game changer for winter rips.
Your bike is coming along nicely. Good work you guys.
Appa looks awesome! Built to tour, cruise, pack stuff in, go camping, go on holiday (not vacation).
Brilliant additions and well done Jordan! 👌👍👌🔧
Looks great! Those lowers will help keep some of the rain off your legs, too.
Take the backrest pad to Top Stitch Upholstery in Pain City and have it covered to match the seat. Be sure to take the seat so he can match it. I just did a color-matched inner fairing and I love the new look!

You did it, your own install. Look out here she goes! More self installs to come, You got it! Prayers Flying for safe travels
You and hubby together on video is a nice change. You may want to consider group rides on your channel. Sometimes the spontaneous banter is very entertaining.
Send that backrest to saddlemen 😬 they can get you set up to match! They are super cool about custom seats. And shoot me a message if you need the clips for those fairing inserts. get the magnetic lids for those small cubbys. they work MUCH better than the snaps which often times pop off anyways. trust me. super easy install.
Ohhhh the frustrations of installs. You nailed it and it looks much more full with those parts. 💪🏾
Good work on your install! The easy is easy. The work that drives you mad untill completion is worth it.

Great to see you two enjoying the road together. You should do longer rides for each other's channels. On the tour pack install, the pins on the docking hardware on your bike are slightly eccentric. if you loosen the center bolt a bit, you should be able to rotate the bushing for an easier fit. that way you can undo the lock smoother and not carry a hammer around for when you want to install.
this is 100 percent correct, my friend took his bike to the dealer and they adjusted the mounts to align them and all good......JB..
Happy New Year to you and Jordan .... great project to work on together .... nice Job
You’ll absolutely love having the Tour Pack. Especially for your longer trips. Also, for Jordan, 1/4 cup = 2 oz., 1/2 cup = 4 oz., 3/4 cup = 6 oz. & 1 cup = 8 oz.
Glad to see you back home. Jess. Your Appa glide looks great with the Top-box on it . Stay Safe ... Ciao.
agree, you need an arrow on the tour pack. I'm sure you know, a good way to not get frustrated when doing a project is to walk through the directions with all the parts to make sure nothing is missing. Appa looks great with his traveling packs on board
Its great to see you two riding together again, miss those. I know you two run separately, but its nice all the same.
Men have similar frustrations with installs and repairs with a bit more yelling and cussing. Also, Like when Jordan was working on it with you, having a buddy help makes everything a little more calm.
Love to see you trying new things. Great video as always. Keep up the good work.
Loveeee that scene in the beginning "they're both mine" haaaa! Yesssss!
So good to see you and Jordan out riding and working together. Congratulations on the fairing install
Great video lass. You and Jordan out cruzing together, what a great feeling im sure it was. Road glide is looking awesome with the tour pack and lowers. Ride on and peace out!!

Great to see you and your husband enjoying riding together. I’d like a look at his bike. What I saw looked great
Yeah, when I got my Yamaha Eluder I couldn't believe what a difference lower fairings make. It's not always ideal in the Florida summer when you're trying to get as much as as possible but on a cold winter night it's a game changer.
Bike looks great!! Trunk kinda gives the look a bit of balance with the big fairing.

Also Saddleman makes the matching seat covers for your tour pack. Just let them know which size backrest you have and color and stiching and theyll hook you right up. Then you can just take it to an upolstery shop and have it put on.
Awesome! That will look absolutely fantastic once you have the seats matched and whatever decals you decide to add!
I enjoyed watching you and Jordan riding together. It is fun watching you work on your bikes.

Brown seat matching vinyl that wraps into an Appa arrow over the top for the tour pack. And eventually have the back rest recovered to match the seat.
Well done you,the back box and side panels look awesome, they really set the bike off,it's gorgeous 🤟
I love the joint videos. It’s cool
To see you two interact
Awesome to see the two of you riding together and the views of Columbus while you ride. Also glad to see that upgrades are a "challenge" for everyone.. lol. Really like the return to your basics please keep it up.. wonderfull !!
I know, this is one of those things, but, anybody else appreciate how SMOOTH that deadbolt latched at 13:09?
Wow dude! Looking so good! Loving watching the vision come to life! Rest in PEACE Betty White 😢 bringing the next generation of golden girls to life! 🥰 I love grannies!!
Wind reduction and keeping you drier in the rain too, lowers are a must!! Looks good!!!
Daww, don’t be ashamed to cry. Doing all the video editing that you do would bring me to tears. By the way, you did an awesome job!
Someone has probably already pointed this out but the rubber bushings are actually oblong so if you loosen the bolt going through it and turn it your quick detach will close on like butter. I also reccomend the HD locks for them so your tour pack doesnt get stolen. Ask me how i know these things lol.
Good to see you and Jordan out! Great install on your RG.
Oppa is looking good with the new kit on it.. Jordan has done a great job in the garage as well enjoy winter you two 👍🏻🇦🇺
It's always good to see you work on your stuff. You really appreciate it more taking something to a shop if you've tried to work on stuff before. The bike looks so much bigger with the tour pack and the new lowers. Definitely going to need a new arrow for the tour pack.
New parts look great. Cool having your husband on your vlog too 👍
I have a 21 roadglide limited. Coming off a 17 ultra limited, a tour pack and the lower fairings have become a necessity. Being able to lock you helment, etc is a game changer. The lower fairings are great in cold weather. Full dresser if you like to really ride.
Your bike is looking sweet I l enjoyed watching you two working together on it!
I love that despite not liking the process of adding things to your bike you still jump in and do it. Appa looks fantastic Jess!!
I'm very stubborn and when I want a project done I get the, "I'll do it myself" mentality.... until I have to actually "do it myself" 😂
The bushings on the mounting hardware are oblong (tour pack). Just rotate them and it should get rid of the rattle. It should not be too tight or too lose. I hope this helps you.
Thank you! We'll give it a try!
So Awsome to see you guys out together glad you had a great ride 😊 love you guys 😎👍
Looks great! I also got a Hogworkz tour pack, which was perfectly color-matched to my Midnight Crimson 2021 RGS. I also agree that you need an Appa arrow on that tour pack. Happy riding!
The install stuff was the best part..... keep at it and it won't be so frustrating next time
Proud of you Jess because I installed my lowers & they were a you know what to install
Aww this video was sick! It's so nice to see you and Jordan in a video riding together and sharing your hobbies 🥺
Dang young lady,,,, that Tour Pack is huge. Forget the 🐈, you could pack off a dead body in that thing !!! lol
Good job on the install. Glad to see you and Jordan out riding together. 👍👍
Stay safe !!!
Don’t be so hard on yourself you did a great job! At least you attempted it and done it! Now Jordan not the only one doing build and repair videos!😃
You will enjoy the lowers on long distance rides. I Think they really helps fatigue because your legs are not fighting the wind. Plus they look good
Our Harley branded cam locks for our detachable tour pack aren't quite wide enough either and it needs a little help to open and close. PITA
Things to remember if you run into these problems, just walk away for a few minutes. Just taking that break usually helps me get the job done. I can be struggling for an hour, walk away go get a soda or something, come back and things fall into place.
Glad to see you get it done great job.
Nice to see Jordan in your Videos too 😊. I wish you both a happy new year 🎉 may all your wishes come true. Sorry for my bad english.
Jordan i have a 2008 FXDWG Anniversary n i love it!! Yall ride safe n keep up the great work
