Here we go again. People are saying that I mispronounced "Chupa Chup." Allow me to explain my pronunciation of this freaking candy's name (sigh): I always pronounced it "Chuppa Chup" growing up, because that's just the way I read it on the label. I never heard another living soul pronounce it one way or the other. One day, I was watching an episode of "My Name is Earl," and Catalina pronounced it the way I did in this video. I love Catalina; therefore, the matter is settled. Whatever pronunciation YOU use - if it differs from Catalina's - is incorrect. I'm so glad we cleared that up.
Accents are a beautiful and regionally varied thing. Not everything has to be said the same way from every area the world. Variety is the spice of life ✨️
I remember buying those lollipops at the pool when I was little. I never even knew what they were called but I recognized the wrapper immediately. So thank you.

This reminds me not only of my childhood (70's and 80') but of this ice cream "parlor" called Farrell's (California). it was the BEST, all old fashioned candy and ice cream, great place to have your birthday...fun times.

The trick to an Abba Zaba is you buy one at the store, put it in your back pocket, and drive home. After that 20 minute ride, it’ll be nice and soft. 🤙

Abba Zabas may be a west coast thing. I grew up in California and it's one of my favorites. The best way to eat is to freeze and then rap on counter a few times to break up.
My mom wouldn’t buy us candy either. We did get an allowance and we’d get on our bikes and ride up to the 7-11. and spend it on candy once or twice a month. I’d get a Zero bar (usually), and Apple Beer (soda)

My mom grew up in The state's but I grew up in Canada, and I remember her always calling what we call rockets "smarties" and I would get confused because smarties here are a chocolate candy 😂 but she grew up knowing smarties as the necklace candy haha so nostalgic
I also had the candy cigarettes lol I wonder if they will be in the box...and zebra gum lol we also had a small store near us, like 5 minutes walking distance from our house, my parents knew the owners, older couple, but they had everything basically, assortment of drinks, candy, different kinds of ice cream pops or fruit pops (like the orange Flintstones), they even made sandwiches and stuff with the "good" meats and cheeses from the slicing machine... she made me my first bologna and cheese sandwich with miracle whip.. don't remember what brand the miracle whip was but it was delicious...my dad would say he would be going "to the store" ....I'd want to go to cause that meant I would be able to get something lol plus got to sit and talk with the owners cause my dad thought the world of them...and yeah we'd be there for hours talking cause my dad ...he's a talker lol love your videos ❤️ can't wait to see what else is in there... hoping the candy cigs and zebra gum made the cut lol
