Well, i don't think i've watched one particular ASMR video as much as i have this one. Kate has a genuine enjoyment of what she does that washes over me, and coupled with the drinking and eating sounds, even more so.
Proving that awesome ASMR dosen't always have to be about acting out triggers just for the sake of it.

I think you must have A LOT of chocolate lovers amongst your followers because, as I skimmed through your latest videos to see if I missed any, I noticed that about 2,000 more people viewed this one than the other most recent ones. That's pretty wild. Or maybe they were just interested in catching up on what you're up to in the midsts of all this mahem. BTW, last time I commented I was sick. I am 89 percent well, now. I don't think it was COVID, just something else that knocked me on my butt. Unfortunately, my doctor has recommended I stay home "for the duration" because of health issues I have. I've been self-quarantined for 14 days. I try not to think ahead more than a day or two or I get too depressed. Friends are bringing groceries and my prescriptions (which I then have to wash down), and a couple sat on my steps so I could talk to them for a while through the door. I chat on the phone with friends. But I think the most difficult part, as it turns out, is not working. I have no schedule. My days have no structure. Sometimes I'm awake all night. I've decided that I have to create a schedule or I will go out of my mind (I still might!) I may spend some time making masks for a local nursing home. I subscribed to an online yoga course. My library offers online foreign language instruction, and I'm thinking about Chinese. But I just want to say thank you again for making these videos, because I really need them to get to sleep at night.
Good to hear that you are on the mend! I think the key to keeping going when in self isolation is to have as normal a routine as possible. I'm still getting up at the same time and structuring my day in a similar way to my ordinary routine - without the going out of the house bit! Take care! x

Yummy, yummy. Chocolate! Well, Kate, I am currently self-quarantined because I'm sick. It's day 8 and I'm sort of holding steady, not horribly sick. Your videos are helping me to stay relaxed, although I am feeling pretty lonely. Friends are checking in on me, one did some shopping, and I Skyped with a friend overseas, so it's not terrible. I just told someone I feel like Robinson Crusoe, castaway on an island -- and then I looked up the story on Wikipedia and you know, once again, the original story is so much better than the movies. Here's one interesting fact: "The story has been thought to be based on the life of Alexander Selkirk, a Scottish castaway who lived for four years on a Pacific island called "Más a Tierra", now part of Chile, which was renamed Robinson Crusoe Island in 1966." It occured to me that you might enjoy reading this to us. There are pirates, cannibals and other exciting bits (although there's also some terrible stuff about slaves). I know all the libraries where I am are closed, but classic books like these are available for free on the Project Gutenberg website, if this suggestion appeals to you and the other folks who love your reading. www.gutenberg.org/files/521/521-h/521-h.htm When I get into bed at night and put in my earbuds and get ready to listen to you read, I feel just like a little kid getting ready for a bedtime story. Thank you so much, you really lighten my days.
Sorry to hear that you've been unwell, that's rotten. I'm also self-isolating and it's been tough - so I understand the Robinson Crusoe reference. I did think of reading it but as you say it's got some stuff in there that is difficult. I may do an extract perhaps?
Maybe you can put the bow on the front of your recipe scrapbook? Just an idea!
