If I make a section in HTML inside which I defined 2 div with para... And then take before pseudo element of section like( section::before)
in Css but leaving it content blank and defining it's background color, width ,height. But it's not working untill I define position to absolute ...

I want to put background colour in that whole section by using pseudo element. Could u tell me the reason please

Assign ID or Class to that Div...and then you will be able to select that particular div by its ID or Class.
