    I had the chance to check out the newly updated 2020 Honda Civic in the Coupe build in the Si form. This little compact coupe really surprised me, I'd love to know what you think of the new Civic in the comments!
    FULL DISCLOSURE-
    I approached the Dilawri Group and asked if I could produce videos of their vehicles for my channel. They liked my honesty and structure of my reviews. I have created this video for my channel and the dealership is sharing them on their social media platforms too. They have no creative control and do not edit these videos. I create, edit and produce these videos exactly how I create, edit and produce my other reviews from the manufacturers.

    Thanks everyone for checking out this Coupe Si review! If you listen closely, I switch the 'Coupe' pronunciation a few times throughout his review. This is what happens as a Brit after living in Canada for over 14 years...

    I love the Gen X Coupe design. It is the most fluid design I've seen in an affordable car in decades. Mine is is a 2020 Honda Coupe EX. I'll pass on a stick in SoCal traffic at age 70. My EX has been 100% perfect after 33k miles.
    I do miss driving a manual, though

    I have this car but mine is black. I absolutely love it. I've driven a few sports cars since I got my license and my car is without a doubt my favourite one I've driven. Great car and I recommend it to anyone who wants a fast, reliable and fun sports car to drive. I'll be keeping this car for a long time.

    This car, and the Accord, are not designed for an older driver like me. Just can't get past the styling. Great review, though! Off topic, you mentioned your Mazda. I never thanked you as your review of the 2018 Mazda 6 Signature pushed me over the top and I bought one. Couldn't be happier. You were right, I always look back at it as I'm walking away!

      Great choice on your Mazda6 Signature purchase! I purchased one too. An amazing car for the money. On par with the past Lexus, Infiniti and Acuras I've owned...for considerably less money. But I disagree with your opinion of the Civic's look. As a 67 year old I rather like the styling of the Civic. Not so much the Accord. It's too big for the fastback look but IMO it looks good on the smaller Civic.

    Last week my Honda dealer gave me very bad news: The coupe is discontinued in north America (Si, Touring, Sport and all the other trims) 2020 is the last year of civic 2 doors production! Lucky I got my 2020 early this Year. Good bye Civic Coupe THE BEST 2 DOOR EVER!

    Hello, I loved watching this review, i think you are one of the best new car reviewers out there, what's a bit of a shame is;
    Your videos end abruptly, wanting for a smoother transition to get into your final thoughts on the cars on review
    Not enough light hearted humour, i bet you're a really funny person to meet in real life. Put some of it into the reviews (ever watched Honest John?)
    Rather than having a grading "system" more can be learned and absorbed by viewers if you just have a final thoughts section at the end (kill two birds with one stone plus improved video quality)

      Terrance Moore The dealership gave me the kit, including the foam insert which fits perfectly over the spare. I should have negotiated the price of the kit but at $22900 cash for the car, I felt I got a very good deal.

      I just bought a 2020 coupe in the same color. I would say it is a bit faster ( I test drove a 2019 before the 20s were in stock). But it is negligible. Honestly I would have been fine with the old gearing as 1st is far too short. And in 6th at around 75mph I'm sitting at just over 3000 RPM.

    • @RCXDerp
      @RCXDerp 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Inferno_Assassin I FEEL THE SAME WAY. I kinda regret it for 1st gear but everything else is nice. I might need to get used to starting in second, 2020 white sedan.

  • @mp9508
    @mp9508 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Who do they think they’re kidding with the fake vents yada? So dumb. And continuing to try to lure noobs with a turbo? Fail. The ILX with a 201 HP naturally aspirated engine is a far better car, even with its outdated interior. Will outlast the turbo miles and miles and -

    • @Dano-MX5
      @Dano-MX5 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I recently read that the ILX is the slowest selling car in the U.S. Meanwhile the SI is in short supply.

    • @Dano-MX5
      @Dano-MX5 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sergio Aguirre ,
      And the intended consequence by limiting the SI production is the car retains its value higher than other Civics. Good for SI owners, not so good for buyers. Unless the car is over 3 years old you may as well buy a new one.

    • @Dano-MX5
      @Dano-MX5 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sergio Aguirre ,
      You are preaching to the choir my friend. I sold Honda's and Acuras for 3 years so I am fully aware of the Honda brand and their strategies. You could say I'm a Honda fan boy (although I'm an old boy at 67). Since 1980 I've owned 4 Civics, a CRX, 2 Elements, a Ridgeline, 4 Accords AND most importantly 5 S2000s, along with an Acura CL Types S and 4 TLs. I've also owned as many or more Toyota/Lexus products, an Infiniti and a Nissan, several Mazdas and a Subaru. I lost count of my total vehicle ownership over the years but it easily exceeds 50.
      That being said Honda is a very good automotive manufacturer. They lost their way for a little while but starting with the 2013 Accord, then the 2016 Civic they've got back on track and are producing cars that are fun to drive, economical and reliable. I agree a dual clutch transmission would be a great addition, as long as Honda outsources it, but a pure manual like what's in the Type R and past S2000s are still as good as it gets. The rev hang in the SI is a bit of a let down. I understand the engineering behind it but it does take away from the goodness that the SI otherwise has. No car is perfect but the SI's bang for the buck is very compelling. They just need to bring it as a hatchback too....with the dual round exhaust tips in place of the goofy single HDMI looking port. The rear of the Sport Touring hatchback is much better looking IMO and befitting the performance oriented SI.

  • @paulm6481

    Civic Si is really one of a kind, 2 and 4 door manual for sporty good looking (ok better looking now). Great quality. I remember when Civic Si was a 2.0 liter or smaller naturally aspirated engine, so this great power. It is not a type R, but otherwise it pops in that blue color and made for humans with a great manual. Well done Honda

    • @aseeds7785

      What if the Si had 205, but naturally aspirated (with v-tec) instead. Would the the turbo 205 hp the same in terms of race if same skilled drivers.

    • @hussali8838
      @hussali8838 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A Seeds it’s rated at 205hp but it’s likely around 220hp since they put 200whp on the dyno
