Thanks for introducing me to the petit prince rose...just spent an hour tracking down a few online. Can't wait to get them potted and growing. Thanks also for the videos, you've quickly become my "go to" as I'm taking my first steps in rose growing.
I’m really appreciating the information on rose names and fragrance loads and the growth habits to help me choose what is most suitable to my needs. Thank you sir!
Paul, I'm in a new season of life and you have been a part of my journey.......... I have fallen in love with roses. I'm just south of Long Beach and have a rather small yard but am already reaping the benefits of your teaching. I can't thank you enough! I just can't thank you enough....... LoVe LoVe LoVe your humor too! Debra (Rossmoor, CA)
LOVE your channel!! I'm completely new to roses and how to plant/care for them. Please do a video regarding how to plant/care/prospects of David Austin roses!! I would be forever grateful!!! Thanks!
That would be an interesting one. I'd have to gather the information and then figure out where the roses are, but in the meantime I'll try to make sure to include more and point them out in my videos.
Love your rose garden. So many amazingly beautiful varieties. Do you grow any ground cover roses? I'd like to add some to my zone 5 garden here in Illinois, next Spring. Any recommendations on a hardy, red reblooming ground cover rose?
I was recently given some of the new generation flower carpet rose to try and there is a red. Flower Carpet Scarlet. I've been impressed with this whole series.
Awesome video :D Hey Paul, have you ever tried Gaujard Roses? If you did, can you tell me about your experiences? I currently bought one and I want to know about other peoples experiences with it. Thanks!
In episode 1 you mentioned the Francis Meilland, what is/was your opinion of this rose? I'm just now starting my first rose bed and really enjoy this one but am interested in your thoughts...
We had this rose in the Biltmore International Rose Trials and it did great. I have several planted at our church and they thrive there as well. It's a great rose.
Were you ever able to figure out the name of that pink bourbon that you got from Mike Rowe? It is absolutely beautiful, I love that deep cup shape!! Also, what is the name of that bright yellow rose that is in the background of that very same shot? It is also quite beautiful. Also, your Mme Isaac P looks so healthy, do you spray it at all?
Glorious! When I see beauty and smell the fragrance of flowers, I wonder how people can not believe in a Creator. Heavenly!

Thanks for the note. I'll adjust it next time.
Can you do a video on RRD ? love your garden 😍
I hadn't thought about that but it's a good idea. Let me think about how to present it.
Were you ever able to figure out the name of that pink bourbon that you got from Mike Rowe? It is absolutely beautiful, I love that deep cup shape!! I'm afraid not
He didn’t mention that deadheading is to stop the rose from putting energy into forming hips so that energy can make more flowers.
I've talked about that in other videos. These are just short ones with a few tips in them.
I keep hearing you mention Delbart roses, who has them, and how will I know if that's what I'm getting?
Generally the seller will advertise them as Delbard Roses.
Generally I don't. Usually something comes along and eats them.
How far apart to plant hybrid tea roses?
About 3-4' apart
@@Paulzimmermanroses what if wanna plant them as hedges? Do i plant them closer like may be 2ft apart? Can you even plant hybrid teas as hedges?
@@hamidsabir2296 Yes you can. In that case I'd plant them 2 1/2 feet apart
Hello, can someone write me please the name of the rose that is in 5:45? Unfortunately I wasn't able to understand the name :(
Dame De Chenceau. Bred by Delbard
