Nope. I had G6 and returned it because of poor low light performance. Overall a very nice phone I liked the phone very much, but low-light photos are total trash because of cheap budget level sensor they decided to put inside. I had to switch back to S7 which is so much better in terms of sharpness details and autofocus it's not even funny. Still prefer G6 for overall design and all the rest is much nicer on LG G6.... just not the camera

Well that G6 definitely held it's own for an older phone. The G8 does a great job with bright reds and lens flares from the lights. All 3 are definitely solid cameras... Great video bro!
I had a g5, g6 and now g7. The g6 camera was awesome! Seeing your video reminded me just how beautiful the daytime photos were (most were better than the other two imo). I had more fun taking photos on that phone. It got slow though, and the g7 is faster and narrower design which is nice. Thank you for your great videos!
I use my G6 for video recording my daughters indoor volleyball games. It has not failed me one time. Always great clear video and I can manually adjust for different lighting situations. In my ears, audio capture seems to be more precise and well-balanced in G6, then G7 and then G8. Would never imagine such an evolution! That is why I thought the GalaxyS10 could not have better audio capture than G8. Has LG manged to "lower" the stellar quality of audio recording into a VERY good one ? Regardless, LG G series are still great phones, performance to price! Strange about my findings...Perhaps it is just my perception. What do y'all guys feel about the evolution of the G series?
The G6 sounds great. Very clear and balanced. I think the comparison that struck me most was with an Iphone X which was like a muffled whisper next to the G6.
Totally the audio on the G6 is far superior to the other 2.i actually have a G6 and was blown away the other day by the audio on a video of the kids play I recorded.
During the walk around at night time. G6 is crisp and you can hear the background noises of cars, wind or whatever. G7 sounds muffled but you can still hear the background noise. G8 sounds like it is being over processed somehow and a bit harsh, may actually be the loudest, would love to see results on a VU meter. However, you CAN NOT hear any of the background noise at all that you could in the other phones. Between his words was complete silence on the G8. Noises are filtered out or it just can't pick up the sounds?
LG G6, but I have to say mine and my wife's have had the worst camera's out of any phone I have ever had. Just bought LG G6. $85 new can't pass up flagship in 2020 G8 recording sound was worse. Also G7 and G8 don't allow you to record video and zoom or switch between both camera's at sane time. G6 rocks 🙏

this is just astounding.... they're all good in the foreground part but if you look at the BACKGROUND in a lot of the pics, only the LG G6 delivers almost NO BLUR everything is clear you can see the bark on the trees etc...you can see everything it's unbelievable not even the LG G8 is doing that!

I bought two g6 because of your videos. One for mom. Cant beat the price for $150. But battery life needs much improvement. But i love the knock on/off and lock screen shortcuts.
Great video Eric, man I absolutely love that G8, I chose the s10+ this year, I'm a bigger V series fan but the G8 has improved quite a bit over the V40 in photography from what I've seen , I owned the G6 and loved it, i got the LG V35 instead of the G7 which has the same cameras, and i hated the camera quality on that phone, now the V40 was much better, i didn't think LGs 2019 phones would compare to Samsungs phones this year but boy was I wrong, I'm excited for the V50, cant wait to to see what's up with it, Eric I'd like to see some V series camera comparisons, like the V30. S10+ design is better, so beautiful. I feel v50 same v40. V50 have 5g, 2 display. V50 not special. I like g8 better with hand id (now not popular) i think hand id use palm, pointing very unique, security it same recognize finger. But hand id need 3s unlock screen. Face id 3d same iphone xs, air motion very funny, i think lg will add upgrade for air motion. I know it same gimmick, but when hand is dirty and cooking, it will useful. Sound on display and boombox speaker ultra big and good better, g8 definite is better g7. Camera video portrait is new. I like g8 because it has much funtions. Next month I will buy g8 😄
I have and still use my LG G6 everyday. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy s10e and I highly recommend s10e over the s10 or s10+. The phone size is perfect. I prefer the fingerprint sensor on the side rather than in the screen. Also I don't like curved edge front display glass screens. Still has same Snap Dragon 855, same 6 or 8 GB RAM options. Same base storage amount of 128GB. Plus only costs 750 dlls and comes with rapid charger and ear buds. Mine also came with a Samsung custom phone protector case which is awesome and makes the back camera bump perfectly flat. It also has a bunch of holes in the design to keep it cooler. I am still going to get an LG G8 once the price comes down a bit because they look so awesome. I love Samsung and LG. There is no reason to have to choose a best company. They both make excellent products.

Another really solid camera comparison bro oddly enough I'm going to have to give the overall win to the LG G7 super consistent really good photos really good video really good audio. With the individual breakdown going something like this in third place or last place coming in with an okay performance in all areas LG G6 in second place in the photo performance what the overall first place the LG G7 it's photo performance is just a little bit behind the LG G8. And in first place the LG G7 which did a really good job in the video a good job in the photo and again a really good job in the front facing cameras and audio so at least in my opinion the overall wins goes to the LG G7 really that's just because the G8 tended to struggle a lot in like video performance but overall we still have some really good cameras and all three of these devices keep up the great work bro I'll catch you on the next one.
G8 is the better lens, and why do I know this? Because I have the G8 and it's a beast in 4k 30 and especially in 4k 60. The pictures are fantastic. The g7 struggles in low light and that's the deal breaker for me.

G7 had weird green colour on the trees and leaves. G6 had bad light flaring at night. G8 had very different red rendering for the signs at night. Amazing to see how well the G6 still held up against the G8. G7 was worst one for me.
I still have my LG G4 and use it all the time still. That's the phone that 1st got me hooked on LG phones. I love the IR blaster when I need a remote for something in a jiffy
I have the g7 and it's great. I was thinking about upgrading to the v40 but now I think I'll probably go with the g8 or v50 when that finally comes out. Hope my g7 gets android pie in the mean time.
Well, G6, as the oldest, is supposed to be the worst one (true for the visual part), but it's audio recording quality is surprisingly great! While the G8 is much better in the imaging.
really like the g6 but the g8 has much better collors and details the g8 got it all night shots g8 got it all again but i still would say g6 has much better microphone tho

This was a great video. The G6 did amazingly held its own against the others! Thanks. I have the LG G5 and had been looking at the G7 or G8 and had watched many videos and honestly needed to replace because the power button stopped working. But the more videos I watched on the LG G7 and G8 I was dismayed at a few features that I like on the G5 were gone and they are supposed to be improving. I saw the G6 and saw they were making improvements but then fell on the G7 and G8 they just completely went another direction and not for the better. Here are the things on the G5 I found are now gone on the G7 and G8 and even the G6. No longer is there Multi-view for video, no longer the ability to shoot video and switch from the regular to the wide angle,. Now the G6 did keep all the camera info on the screen whereas, now the G7 and G8 have moved those menus to another place that takes you away from the screen. Also why remove the multi-view and add such things as "Food" and AI and Google Lens!? I have been to the stores to play and feel it is really a step backwards when they seemed to be moving forward with the controls on the G6. So with all of that said, the other day I was able to find another used G5 for a great low price at BHphoto here in NYC and got that. Even better now I have more swappable batteries. Another thing I like about the Lg G5 is the removeable battery. With that being said, the LG G6 might make for a great additional phone with the video quality it is showing. Honestly, am torn. For now I will just hold on to my new LG G5 and figure things out by the Holidays. This is not the only video I have seen that seems to show the improvement and that the older models still hold their own.
Idk if anyone know this or nah, if im not wrong since lg g5 came out till g6 they focusing on camera. After that people do complain the performance of g6 are so so bad compare to other phone that came out same as g6. Thats why they jumped into sd 845 for g7 which is powerful chipset till today. Talk about camera dont go for g7 or g8 if you want good camera go take g6, the price is so affordable. Btw, thanks for the video.
Great comparrison. I use the g6 and if it wasn't for the bad front camera and maybe lowlight I wouldn't think about upgrading. To bad G7 is actually a downgrade for video recording from the lloks of it ,otherwise that would be a great buy at the moment. G8 still not available in europe

my last phone was LG G3. Which was great. Anyways if i had to rate the cameras with MY eyes, which im not wearing my glasses. I liked the G6 photos the best. G8 had best low light. Idk about the G7...nothing looked good from it. That's just my opinion. My bad eyes. My ASUS monitor.

Yeah the LG G8 speaker is not the best. This is why I'm saying the v40 it's a overall better phone. The v35 is good but the price of the v40 is definitely worth it. I seen it cheap on swappa and eBay mid 200 bucks that is a win for sure.

The glares on the bulblight on the LG G6 killed me.! I did something like this we I had S8 and S8 Plus and a friend of mine poited out maybe the camera glass was dirty from touching it, but I want to think its not the case here.! . I have a question about the 6:55 pic... I really dont like what G7 and G8 do the the background, I wanna be able to zoom in a crop on any part of the picture, not just the subjet (in this case, the fire hydrant) can I turn this "effect" off?
I had the g6 for 2 years now ang just bought the g8 a week ago, honestly a true disappointment; rubbish diaplay, high contrast, high gamma density, over saturation for some colors, brightness is low... I really can't find a replacement to such balanced display of my g6

Wow g8 has far more better overall image quality than its predecessor even on lowlight g8 is much brighter and clearer more natural colors the only cons of g8 is the dynamic range on daylight its slighty over exposed but i know lg can improved g8's hdr through software updates we all know g8 just got released
I noticed in the daylight photo's the g7 had the most clarity and color, the g8 was owning the lowlight photo's and video, but I actually think I saw the g6 take 1 or 2 daylight photo's better than the rest, either way its amazing how close the g6 came to the newers. I think in photos i'd have to say the g7 wins, g8 wins in video

Hello! I own a LG G6 and it is a very good phone but after 2 years i want tochange it with the lg g8 (i'm a lg fan, like you i think)... The problem is that in my country they only sell lg g8s. I have no problems with the display resolution but I noticed that the cameras are different too! This could be a big problem for me as I consider the camera a fundamental element of the smartphone. Could you make a comparison between lg g8 and lg g8s?

As was the trend, I see stabilization was the focus of improvements in the G8. I think it struggles a bit with dynamic range still. In low light,, the g8 dominates, and weirdly, the g6 outdoes the G7 with colour accuracy and clarity. the g7 looks VERY noisy in lowlight videos, but it doesn't flare lights like the G6. Overall, G8's improvements in picture quality come in its handling of low light. still struggling with bokeh. Also, the audio on the G8 is crazy good, sounds like a whole midi mic is attached, especially when using the rear camera.
I have a g7+ thin q , and i don't like a camera when you crop it , photos goes blurred and unclear in my opinion😕 I think you need in your reviews do a crop zoom in the photos it's very important. Thanks for your job!
Judging by the camera size being same, getting rid of the bump, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same sensor. Slightly better low light, similar dynamic range, and way better OIS seems like all software optimization (Minus the last one) and post processing the LG G8 is capable with the better processor, what bothered me is this software improvement was never passed down to the other phones. As usual LG got ways to go figuring their software division out. I expected way better from G8, I stuck with the LG G5 and then the g6, after all these years their software division is still horrid.

I am still running on Android 8 on my phone (international version), downgrade in camera from the G5 to the G6 was a jaw dropper for me, it was clearly understood it was rushed into production, to have the camera literally be worse than the previous generation. The s10e is very similar to the G lineup, but thw only thing putting me off is the lack of a manual video mode, heard it was added, is that the case?

Hey brother, maybe you can help me here, cause I have tried absolutely EVERYTHING! I bought an LG G6 model H873 on ebay, and found out that it is a Canadian version phone, but the description said that it is an unlocked t mobile gsm phone, but it is saying that the device is not compatible with metropcs, t mobile or atandt, but it says online that it is also a US phone that is 4g. Is there something that I am dping wrong here, is there a way to switch it to 4g or something, anything, because I don't want to return it. The camera is just way too good. If anybody can help me, please. I have tried EVERYTHING...SBN RESONATE
I feel like the g6 is better in skintones, the lg g7 is good at capturing bright colors while lg g8 is better in producing sharp images and night photography

Samsung screwed up with the finger print sensor on the front screen. Which screen size is large both height and width of your two phones

@@ayoubkrt5018 Yep! I live my G6 and before I jump to the G8 I too, want to know all about the G8. So far, I have been impressed and I already dig the air motions. Especially since I look to cook and this will come in handy when cooking, looking up a recipe or cleaning the kitchen.

Another really solid camera comparison bro oddly enough I'm going to have to give the overall win to the LG G7 super consistent really good photos really good video really good audio. With the individual breakdown going something like this in third place or last place coming in with an okay performance in all areas LG G6 in second place in the photo performance what the overall first place the LG G7 it's photo performance is just a little bit behind the LG G8. And in first place the LG G7 which did a really good job in the video a good job in the photo and again a really good job in the front facing cameras and audio so at least in my opinion the overall wins goes to the LG G7 really that's just because the G8 tended to struggle a lot in like video performance but overall we still have some really good cameras and all three of these devices keep up the great work bro I'll catch you on the next one.

G8 is the better lens, and why do I know this? Because I have the G8 and it's a beast in 4k 30 and especially in 4k 60. The pictures are fantastic. The g7 struggles in low light and that's the deal breaker for me.

G7 had weird green colour on the trees and leaves.
G6 had bad light flaring at night.
G8 had very different red rendering for the signs at night.
Amazing to see how well the G6 still held up against the G8. G7 was worst one for me.

I miss my G4. I would still rock it with the IR blaster, leatherback if it did not boot loop.
I still have my LG G4 and use it all the time still. That's the phone that 1st got me hooked on LG phones. I love the IR blaster when I need a remote for something in a jiffy
LG G4 has the best camera... I had some photos of fireworks that are unbelievable and a lot of modern mobile phone still cannot take better shots

This was a great video. The G6 did amazingly held its own against the others! Thanks. I have the LG G5 and had been looking at the G7 or G8 and had watched many videos and honestly needed to replace because the power button stopped working. But the more videos I watched on the LG G7 and G8 I was dismayed at a few features that I like on the G5 were gone and they are supposed to be improving. I saw the G6 and saw they were making improvements but then fell on the G7 and G8 they just completely went another direction and not for the better.
Here are the things on the G5 I found are now gone on the G7 and G8 and even the G6. No longer is there Multi-view for video, no longer the ability to shoot video and switch from the regular to the wide angle,. Now the G6 did keep all the camera info on the screen whereas, now the G7 and G8 have moved those menus to another place that takes you away from the screen. Also why remove the multi-view and add such things as "Food" and AI and Google Lens!? I have been to the stores to play and feel it is really a step backwards when they seemed to be moving forward with the controls on the G6.
So with all of that said, the other day I was able to find another used G5 for a great low price at BHphoto here in NYC and got that. Even better now I have more swappable batteries. Another thing I like about the Lg G5 is the removeable battery.
With that being said, the LG G6 might make for a great additional phone with the video quality it is showing. Honestly, am torn. For now I will just hold on to my new LG G5 and figure things out by the Holidays. This is not the only video I have seen that seems to show the improvement and that the older models still hold their own.

Idk if anyone know this or nah, if im not wrong since lg g5 came out till g6 they focusing on camera. After that people do complain the performance of g6 are so so bad compare to other phone that came out same as g6. Thats why they jumped into sd 845 for g7 which is powerful chipset till today. Talk about camera dont go for g7 or g8 if you want good camera go take g6, the price is so affordable. Btw, thanks for the video.

Great comparrison. I use the g6 and if it wasn't for the bad front camera and maybe lowlight I wouldn't think about upgrading. To bad G7 is actually a downgrade for video recording from the lloks of it ,otherwise that would be a great buy at the moment. G8 still not available in europe

my last phone was LG G3. Which was great. Anyways if i had to rate the cameras with MY eyes, which im not wearing my glasses. I liked the G6 photos the best. G8 had best low light. Idk about the G7...nothing looked good from it. That's just my opinion. My bad eyes. My ASUS monitor.

Dear , Eric , i have 1 special question for u , sir , because nobody specializes like u in LG phones .Considering that i am an avid youtube watcher on speaker a phone and music in ear phones listener ( may be some watsapp and email checking too ) , which one of the devices will last longer in case of battery life and overall comfort experience , not considering a camera and other stuff at all : G6 , v30/v35 or G8 .Please assist .P.S: if anybody besides Eric have an opinion i will be happy to hear .Thank You .

Yeah the LG G8 speaker is not the best. This is why I'm saying the v40 it's a overall better phone. The v35 is good but the price of the v40 is definitely worth it. I seen it cheap on swappa and eBay mid 200 bucks that is a win for sure.

The glares on the bulblight on the LG G6 killed me.! I did something like this we I had S8 and S8 Plus and a friend of mine poited out maybe the camera glass was dirty from touching it, but I want to think its not the case here.!

I loved my G4 even more than my G6. It's such a good phone other than the loop screen glitch. Cool yours held up so long.
I had the g6 for 2 years now ang just bought the g8 a week ago, honestly a true disappointment; rubbish diaplay, high contrast, high gamma density, over saturation for some colors, brightness is low... I really can't find a replacement to such balanced display of my g6

Wow g8 has far more better overall image quality than its predecessor even on lowlight g8 is much brighter and clearer more natural colors the only cons of g8 is the dynamic range on daylight its slighty over exposed but i know lg can improved g8's hdr through software updates we all know g8 just got released

I noticed in the daylight photo's the g7 had the most clarity and color, the g8 was owning the lowlight photo's and video, but I actually think I saw the g6 take 1 or 2 daylight photo's better than the rest, either way its amazing how close the g6 came to the newers. I think in photos i'd have to say the g7 wins, g8 wins in video

I got the G7 I was thinking about updating the G8 but I should wait for the v50 it has 5G capabilities and has five cameras and a second display so the v50 will be my next phone great camera comparison
5G upgrade wont be worth it for at least another 3 years its all just hype now, numbers game its about the same speed as LTE as of now o_0 maxes out at abotu 700mbps
Hello! I own a LG G6 and it is a very good phone but after 2 years i want tochange it with the lg g8 (i'm a lg fan, like you i think)... The problem is that in my country they only sell lg g8s. I have no problems with the display resolution but I noticed that the cameras are different too! This could be a big problem for me as I consider the camera a fundamental element of the smartphone. Could you make a comparison between lg g8 and lg g8s?
Unfortunately the lgs is not available here in the USA. I will have to pass on reviewing that phone. I'm will review the LG g9 next year. Thanks for watching

As was the trend, I see stabilization was the focus of improvements in the G8. I think it struggles a bit with dynamic range still. In low light,, the g8 dominates, and weirdly, the g6 outdoes the G7 with colour accuracy and clarity. the g7 looks VERY noisy in lowlight videos, but it doesn't flare lights like the G6. Overall, G8's improvements in picture quality come in its handling of low light. still struggling with bokeh. Also, the audio on the G8 is crazy good, sounds like a whole midi mic is attached, especially when using the rear camera.

Judging by the camera size being same, getting rid of the bump, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same sensor. Slightly better low light, similar dynamic range, and way better OIS seems like all software optimization (Minus the last one) and post processing the LG G8 is capable with the better processor, what bothered me is this software improvement was never passed down to the other phones. As usual LG got ways to go figuring their software division out. I expected way better from G8, I stuck with the LG G5 and then the g6, after all these years their software division is still horrid.

I am still running on Android 8 on my phone (international version), downgrade in camera from the G5 to the G6 was a jaw dropper for me, it was clearly understood it was rushed into production, to have the camera literally be worse than the previous generation. The s10e is very similar to the G lineup, but thw only thing putting me off is the lack of a manual video mode, heard it was added, is that the case?

Hey brother, maybe you can help me here, cause I have tried absolutely EVERYTHING! I bought an LG G6 model H873 on ebay, and found out that it is a Canadian version phone, but the description said that it is an unlocked t mobile gsm phone, but it is saying that the device is not compatible with metropcs, t mobile or atandt, but it says online that it is also a US phone that is 4g. Is there something that I am dping wrong here, is there a way to switch it to 4g or something, anything, because I don't want to return it. The camera is just way too good. If anybody can help me, please. I have tried EVERYTHING...SBN RESONATE
