I’ve had BCBS the last 8 years and just switched to Cigna. So far not a good move. My asthma medication went from $25/month to $350/month.

Yeah use Cigna and watch out for extra billing considering they use Care centrix which appears to be a middle man of sorts. I am literally paying about $175.00 more for my CPAP supplies through Apria Healthcare and then get a bill from CareCentrix that I knew nothing about. Not even one bit of a discount or negotiated price on the bill. How nice, considering we have a PPO.

I have this and am being railroaded out of using my topical lidocaine cream by delaying it being picked up at CVS or making me go 3 times a month to get 1/3 of my monthly lidocaine prescription at a time( every 10 days). I have someone that will pick up my prescriptions once a month because of covid and if I do get it I have to walk 1 mile even though I am in severe pain and have been homebound for 15 years with severe nerve damage and also get esposed to covid x2 along with the people around me. Other than that Cigna health spring has been ok and I am thankful to getting what I get. Its just so frustrating.

Let me share with my fellow consumers what this insurance company, Cigna is really all about. Trust and believe, they are definitely 100% not any of the phony or inaccurate stuff which they are advertising here on this TH-cam commercial. So here goes.... My maternal grandmother's health began deteriorating a few months ago, and she eventually passed away in October of last year: 2019. However, before she passed, here is what Cigna, the "caring and compassionate" insurance company ended up doing: absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G at all! That's right folks, Cigna did nothing at all to help her through her terminal pancreatic cancer ordeal, where she was struggling just to stay alive. Cigna's doctors and medical directors, who had never even treated or met my grandmother, denied medical care for her over and over again. They denied the chemotherapy that she needed, the biopsies of her internal tissue, and even some of the medications which she ended up needing later on. As time went by, she got worse and worse, and I honestly believe that this was because of Cigna's total and categorical disregard for human life! This company doesn't care one single iota about us as people..... despite whatever garbage marketing ploys they are promoting here in this TH-cam commercial. The fact of the matter is that this insurance company remains profitable by denying medically necessary care to cancer victims (like my beloved grandmother.... God rest her soul) over and over and over again. Cigna weakens not only your hope to become better and make a full recovery, but your will to live. That's what happened to my dear grandmother, Marcia (or 'Gammy' as we used to fondly refer to her as). After learning of all of Cigna's insurance denials last year, I honestly felt like my grandmother's will to live just gradually withered away and died... right along with her. She had no hope to live when Cigna was basically telling her over and over again: "Nope, sorry, but we're not covering your chemotherapy..... and we're not covering the cost of a biopsy or anti-cancer medications either...." That's all this insurance company ever does: DENY, DENY, DENY coverage over and over again, simply to save a few dollars!!! Clearly, this heartless insurance company: Cigna didn't care one single bit whether my grandmother lived or died, and they probably won't care if you (or your family/children) do either!!!! It's so repulsive and sickening how this Cigna conducts itself that honestly, I just do not even know how their medical directors/officials (who are put in charge of making life or death decisions for patients like my grandmother who they've never even met and/or diagnosed) or their healthcare executives are able to sleep at night, being as unethical as they are??!! Somehow, Cigna seems to falsely believe that they are basically gods that can make life or death decisions with people's healthcare? Please, for the love of all that is holy, learn from our family's mistakes. Save yourself, and your children/family (if you have any) all the terrible strife, anguish, and never-ending heartache and devastation that my family and I all had to endure for several months in dealing with this ruthless and heartless insurance company, which has the unadulterated audacity to go around masquerading as a "caring and compassionate health insurer who is together all the way with their members." And in response to Cigna's official company response which I'm sure someone from their company will probably post sometime in the next few days, explaining how they are "sorry for your bad experiences...... please contact J.W. (or K.S., or some other set of bogus initials) at Cigna so we can look into this matter for you......", here is what I would reply back with: Nevermind! Don't bother! Because, you'd already had multiple opportunities, Cigna, to remedy this situation, and to actually prove to a helpless 67 year old woman.... and her entire family which includes me, her granddaughter, that you really were "together all the way" with us. Which of course, you never were. And then, in response back to Cigna's "standard issue" company response below, I would also tell them to heed the advice of Erin Brokovich: "Don't use BIG words like 'honesty' and 'integrity' and 'caring' and 'compassion', when you don't understand or practice them!!" Better yet, don't use some of these BIG words like 'integrity' and 'compassion' just to attempt to look good to the public and try to earn more business from them which quite honestly, you'll never rightfully deserve in the first place!!

How come my health insurance contract says Ciga will pay 70% of my medical bills, but then they actually only pay 40%.
This is my first non preventative claim in 25 years. I've given them enough money to buy a brand new car, but they won't even pay more than $4k of my medical bills.

Does Cigna also market its total disregard for human life in these cliched TH-cam videos? (And can you detect the obvious sarcasm.... LOL) Maybe Cigna should also feature me in one of these cheezey videos (LOL), explaining how they didn't find it "medically necessary" to cover my cancer treatment several months earlier. And maybe, they should also market their "world class customer service" to the general public by using some of my own nightmarish and truly inhumane ordeals dealing with all of their sleazy insurance denial tactics..... LOL again, although it certainly wasn't funny or a laughing matter at the time that I'd only had maybe a 40% chance of surviving cancer, during which time Cigna had basically turned its back on me. So yeah, it would be really interesting to see what types of "customer experiences" Cigna obviously cherry picks from the vast majority of their member base who've been wronged by them, and all for the purpose of deceptively marketing insurance products and services which they have absolutely no intention of standing by in the first place? Oh please, just give me a break already with that garbage!
