My wife and I have decided to buy a memory foam king-size mattress in the box from Amazon.com. It was difficult to buy a mattress without seeing it and touching it in person but we did it. In this video, we are sharing our experience, and is it worth it?

How long did it take for yours to completely get to its normal size?
Mine is at its full size (12 inches as well) almost within an hour of decompressing it. My only concern is the corners seem to still need to completely flat out. Then again, its only been 14 hours since I got it out of the bag. Is this normal? Or should I just take a chill pill since it hasn't been a full day yet lol.
I let mine sit for 24 hours before we started using it and that's what I would recommend.
Mine never fully expanded. Absolute scam
Just take a steam iron to the corners and then sides so it could completely decompress

What are the dimensions of your 12 in mattress? I'm having problems finding a platform bed frame that fits. Mine is the Molblly King Mattress, 12 Inch Cooling-Gel Memory Foam

What about the materials its made with? Is it safe/not chemically heavy?
Yeah material feels nice and cozy. Doesn’t feel fake at all
Do you sink into the bed at all? And get back support?
It's somewhere in the middle. You don't sink too much and your back is supported good. I weigh 215 pounds and my wife weighs 100 pounds. It's perfect for us

Is it not possible to use the mattress right out of the box? Will it cause damage if you sleep on it before 72 hrs? thanks
I'm not sure if it will damage it but it's definitely not going to be as comfortable first couple of days.
I think you want it to fully inflate first, to make sure it fully inflates evenly throughout the entire mattress.
How do you return it back ? Is there a way to compress it back in the box, lol?
I'm honestly not sure. I don't think you'll have to compress it. I would read their return policy on Amazon
They would do a no return refund then you can donate, dispose, or sell the mattress
Any ideas on a firmer bed?

Hey Jennifer, we got 12 inch one and I don't recommend going smaller than 12 inches.

I bought one on ebay and it is super soft and I sink in all the way through the mattress.
It is a piece of crap and is a health hazard, it could cause spinal damage.

How do you feel about it now after a year?
I guarantee its sitting in a dump somewhere. My memory foam mattress dang near killed me within 6 months with the constant shoulder/back/hip pain...not to mention the heat! Im back to a regular inner spring mattress and couldn't be happier..memory foam is 1 of the greatest scams ever unleashed on the public! I think it was only pushed because it takes up so little space in the warehouses when compacted..

We bought a serta hybrid at the local lowes. It's been a good mattress so far but only had it for a little while. We shall see about longevity.
@drewpknutz1410 I agree! I got this mattress and it hurt me so bad! Upper and lower back pain, hip pain also. I couldn't hardly walk after the first night. I bought a 4 inch topper to go on it, even that didn't help. I'm so bummed about it, I wanted to love it, it was such a great deal and a beautiful mattress.

I did see a good mixture of people saying it was too hard, and others saying it was too soft!
Yeah each person is different. My sister in-law bought the same mattress and they said it's very firm. My wife and I think it's more of medium firm. But over all it's a great mattress
@@tronixster Yea, I've been using it for 2-3 weeks now and I'm really liking it. It takes a bit of getting used to with getting in and out of bed, as it doesn't have the springiness of a spring mattress, but it's great for actually sleeping.
I could never lie on my back before because it always felt as if I was arching my back like that girl in The Exorcist, but with the new mattress I can feel it supporting the curve of my lower back.
I actually feel refreshed in the morning, instead of feeling like I've been sleeping, contorted, inside a small box..
This mattress sinks in middle. I have to buy new mattress now
@@jamesjfj1342 Perhaps it's an issue with your bed? I have a solid frame bed and it's fine with this mattress. But if you have a soft or springy bed then I could see how it would sink in the middle.
I mean, sure mine sinks in the middle when I lie on it, and there's a hole that takes a few seconds to rise back up again. But it _does_ come back up. Maybe you got a faulty one?
@@JoeBob79569 the last few nights I've put mattress in other room on floor and near window to get cool air. I've ordered an ikea so will compare. I honestly think my mattress should only be used sparingly. I've also tried flipping it and sleeping on the base foam in middle of night when I inevitably wake up..

Turn off all the lights and use an LED light and check for fiberglass around the cut area…. I had one of these recently and my entire home was damaged due to fiberglass contamination.
