I love Lowko's knowledge of the game it makes his videos feel so complete and easy to watch even for a non player

Dark is restoring my faith in Zerg. Terran seems OP at the moment.
Did somebody use blinding cloud on your eyes? Terran is the most micro-heavy race with the weakest unit roster.

As an American, can I just thank Lowko for speaking American English, even though The Netherlands is literally right across the channel from England? We can call it payback for letting Monty plan Operation Market-Garden.
I'm form Poland and once I asked folk from UK if he could speak English instead of British, no one speaks that outside of them specifically xd

I thought Maru was in his resurgence era after wiping the floor with Serral the other day. After these two matches, though, I'm not so sure.

Dark is a very unconventional player. He often prefers strategies, that are more fun over strategies, that win more games. Also he loves playing like a d***.
My first language is Polish, but working and reading mostly in English I find myself with the same problem of knowing what to say in eng and not pln. Not thrilled about that.

Terran might be op this patch but Maru has definitely not been the same since his lost in the IEM Grand finals. So weird not seeing him in the grand finals in tournaments constantly
I think he’s mixing it up a lot. Serval for the last year stopped being the macro god and started trying a million new strategies. I think they have to evolve to be the best and each has their own time they wanna change and grow. And that means a shitty period for a bit

I think Dark is playing against Maru. Seen quite a few games where Maru falls because he goes for late game and opponent goes fast and continual damage

It amazes me how little these events payout. Not being a big gamer now that I’m in my 30’s, do newer “professional” games have higher payouts and a larger base of pros?
The vast majority of "ESPORTS" money is in MOBA's (League and DOTA2 primarily) and the occasional shooter (Overwatch, fortnite, and so on spring to mind).
Fortnite, league, and DOTA prize pools have each penetrated a million dollars once or twice, wherein games like TF2 struggle to put together more then a few hundred. Sc2 was one of the bigger players but it long since simmered down since its hayday.
Player pools are really mostly down to the games design and popularity, obviously in MOBA's or hero shooters with teams of 4-6 you'll have alot more material. SC2 is a pretty big outlier in so far as RTS Esports by having a stable esports scene to begin with (although it seems to be a running joke that brood war's own competitive scene will probably outlive sc2 :P Like father like son I figure. )
i just hope dark keeps this same playstyle at iem

please dark is cheesing cuz zerg in late game are ass, especially against terran. no one wants to play a long ass game and needing to juggle the 2 different spellcasters zerg has. like think about it zerg needs 2 different spellcasters. does protoss even have 2 spellcasters? when was the last time u saw terran use ghost and ravens?
it's actually 3 Zerg spellcasters. Queens are spellcasters, too.
Terrans use Ghost literally every match that lasts longer than 10 minutes.
Also Protoss have 4 spellcasters: Oracle, Mothership, High Templar, Sentry.
It's not even about the spellcasters, it's just that zerg is super awkward late game. Ultras are largely ass, ling bane muta are nerfed into the ground, lurkers are countered by ghosts or air, so basically the only reliable viable strategy is infestor brood lord, and this is a stage that's both hard to get to as well as hard to execute well.
