Love watching what goodies you get, how lucky to be gifted 3 beautiful dolls. I was looking at buying a Julie on our auction site here in NZ and she had the peasant top outfit, I already have Julie and so hesitated and someone else bought her, she was $90 NZ. But I did get Nanea and a bunch of clothing so she is added to my collection. Great video, thank you 😊
oh I love Nanea and her clothes. Hawaii has a special place in my heart :) Her outfits are adorable. She's on my list for sure. Does NZ have a pretty good 2nd hand market?
@@HollysDollies22 yes, I was lucky enough to get a couple of outfits, unfortunately the seller had split the listing into 3 so you could choose a doll, clothes and accessories, I was happy with what I got, but she had divided the clothes so they were more mixed up, if that makes sense, like I got her meet shirt but not her shorts and I could see the sandals in another lot. I have tried to buy the others but no answer as yet. Dolls do come up occasionally, it is a case of checking when new are listed, same with clothes. A couple of years ago I bought Julie's New Years eve outfit complete, then I think within a week or so I managed to buy another. More Our Generation Dolls for sale here, which I sew and sell for at a local market and online as they are more popular and easier to get here, but always worth looking for AG Dolls. Oh and you convinced me to buy the Disney Ily 4 ever with the bucket hat, I looked at her a few days ago and bought a Barbie and the small ily ever ever doll with braided hair. The shop is over an hour away so I will buy her online, thank you 😁 also I loved the pink fluffy jacket so will buy that set too. Great video 😊 sorry about the book I just wrote 🤣
@@debbiesullivanstoneivydoll5646 So you sew doll clothes? that is amazing! I haven’t tried that yet other then little leggings but i quilt and make little bags for fun. Yea the Ily dolls are so cute but im kind of a sucker for Disney merchandise lol My Target seems to carry a good selection of Ily stuff but im trying to be good lol
Aww yay one of my favorite TH-camrs! Love your whole collection! My hubby and I are going to the party at the LA store and I also thought they were going to bring Kirsten out during the party, but I’m so happy we have her back ❤. Also, definitely adding Lanie to my list!
oh that is so sweet of you to say- thank you so much :) Have a great time at the LA party- have any ideas of who they might launch? Yes Lanie is adorable
@@HollysDollies22 thank you so much, I hope you have a great time as well! I honestly wonder if they will bring out more Disney characters or maybe some more historical outfits. I am too excited!!
Congratulations on getting Kirsten. Isn't she awesome? I missed out the first time and wasn't going to this time so I splurged buying a doll in May, one month earlier than planned. I am happy she is in the historical line up again. If you want to buy a PC/earlyAG Kirsten with tan body, be very careful and do learn how to detect silver eye, and watch out about over dry hair. If the hair was mistreated it can be like straw, and unredeemable. Sometimes you can find a customizer who takes off a pristine wig and resell it, but they get sold quickly. I have a very early tan body Kirsten with bubble eye (different than silver eye) she has the softest brown eyelashes much softer than the new Kirsten's which are black. I kept her that way because it is hard to find pristine eyes with those eyelashes. I just say she is Kirsten's cousin and is legally blind.
oh wow that is so cool! I would love an older Kirsten :) Im starting to understand why people have multiples of the same doll but from different years LOL Thank you for all the advice. I have definitely seen the silver eye and the bubble eye, so much to learn! I dont feel comfortable enough to buy an older one yet because Im scared Im going to miss something. I hadn't heard about Kirsten's hair before- good to know.
@@HollysDollies22 Normally you can really rescue any American Girl doll whether PC or AG, just be gentle wash it carefully, even dish liquid can work, protecting the eyes, and comb or brush out starting a small section from the bottom. If really knotted a bit of baby/child strangler helps but does need to be washed out. AG hair only is bad if it has been manhandled, unlike other doll hair. I have only had trouble with 4 dolls, I use to volunteer and repair dolls, PC Kirsten and Molly, Addy and Mia. The first 3 was definitely owner damage, Mia I think was a bad factory run, only if straw like.
@@dakotatwilight thank you for all the advice and tips - appreciate it. i’m currently trying to glow up an AG doll- i believe she’s a JLY? But i’m not as scared because she was pretty cheap and not one of the more vintage ones lol i feel like i can make a mistake and it’s not as much pressure. Maybe that will give me confidence to try one of the more vintage dolls at some point. Sounds like you have a lot of experience. Hope to get there someday :)
I have a living air machine and it took all the mold smell out of my dolls and even a vintage fur coat I bought off of Ebay to make some teddy bears. It emits ozone and I just put them under a towel with the machine and they are brand new smelling including one special edition doll ($350.00) that I bought off of Ebay also that came musty smelling very badly. I just left it under the towel with the machine a few days and now you would never know the box, doll, dress is all good. See you in the Orlando store I am going with my husband also. My grand children are in St Augustine and can't make it. So I am going for them and me!

I think that is good advice- I really need to read them:) Maybe those will be my pool read this summer and I can just kind of blast through them. I was thinking they might be kind of at a child's level of reading so Im glad you mentioned they were different. Thank you for commenting.
thank you so much. Sorry I should have mentioned that- yes they are retired- #37 was retired in 2017 and #46 was retired in 2016. Thank you for asking and for commenting :)
I have to know- are you getting anything from the current sale? I am thinking of Claudie, but I also just picked up a Caroline and know that there’s also likely a Costco doll, Summer, Elsa and holiday doll in my future this year, so I’m torn. :)
I know Im torn as well. It's super tempting to get Claudie- she's definitely on my list :) I also need Samantha and Molly so im thinking of saving up for them or do I get Claudie? LOL Yes Im sure Elsa is going to be awesome- when do you think she will come out?
Gosh, I don’t know. I’m nervous they’ll retire her and I’ll end up having to get her for $250 on eBay. She wasn’t on my short-term list, but now I feel pressure in case they would retire her. Elsa feels like a winter doll for me. I can’t imagine they would completely replace her as the holiday doll for the year, but my wallet would be thrilled if they did! 😅
@@kb8990 I know I always get worried about the retirement and then having to pay way over.
