President Trump signs Executive Orders imposing a 25% tariff on foreign steel and aluminum

President Donald Trump has called for additional 25% tariffs on all foreign steel and aluminum entering the United States, marking a significant escalation of trade measures from his first term.
"Any steel coming into the United States is going to have a 25% tariff," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday. When asked about aluminum, he added, "Aluminum too."
The move targets essential materials used in manufacturing cars, buildings, appliances and much more. The United States' biggest foreign suppliers aren't adversaries: they're allies and neighbors like Canada, Mexico, Brazil and South Korea.
Unlike steel and aluminum tariffs from his previous administration, Trump is not expected to exempt Canada and Mexico from this round of tariffs.
