Yes, it's a pity we bought the static because we lost a lot of money, but hindsite is a wonderful thing.
I think your little chats are great and inspiring, I'm now leaving my job to go out and find an alternative way of living, but can't quite decide. But your base chat was food for fought.

Yes, Pat's a home maker by nature, so she is. Now you know how much trouble I had persuading her to do what we have done Nigel.
Interesting chat that was Trevor & Pat, we have a motorhome but it only goes on the road from April to October, its good you got a base at your daughters home, best to be warm & cosy under s proper roof in winter, love camping though
We are warm and cosy in the van in winter Irene, but we have to come back to Traceys for tablets and spend some time with Tracey and Alethia, recharge our batteries and off again.

Hi mate having been a static van owner myself I agree with you, the site is very important, I was lucky mine was ok for 7 years but turned nasty and I couldn’t wait to leave, also same situation for us we lived 200 yards from the beach before doing this and hardly ever went there in latter years, we will have to go the static route again at some point with a small camper, or old folks home for the criminally insane lol.. take care you two 🙏👍👊🏴🚌🥰

Low down here , absolutely pouring down today, but looked out of the window this morning snow on the hills, we’re only a hr away from Buxton ,
Snow on the ground here, but it's not freezing, so it will be gone by morning, and then we get rain.
Drizzle down here, horrible! Been for dental check up and hygienist this morning £150!!!!! You are right Trevor, everything is so expensive now, camping used to be a cheap holiday, but not anymore. I think you need a base if you are a van lifer, in case things go wrong, which they do when you get older. Lovely chat today as usual, see you tomorrow, bye!!!
Ouch! £150. I watch people free camping on TH-cam, but I wouldn't use most of the places they choose. We are drawing our claws in just now after installing the new gas system, helping Tracey out with her car and Pat's glasses.
It’s thick of snow here in Drighlington but we are high up. I’ve come home from Morley….Have you visited Oakwell hall at all ? It’s nice waking around the hall. Cheaper if your in the national trust I think.
