The Crooked Man wasn’t CGI, the actor is Javier Botet the same actor that played MAMA, Mara, Slender Man etc. His height is 6’7

Fun fact. The kid in the first scene of the Amityville house where his eyes were glowing is actually inspired by the real photo taken in the house during the hauntings. The photo is real and shows a little boy with glowy eyes looking through the wall.

Fun little Easter Egg, the name of the demon Valak is shown a few times in the movie. When Lorraine has her vision and carves the name in the bible she does actually carve the name but also the letters on the bookshelf behind her spell out Valak, their daughter Judy was making a bracelet with the name Valak on it and it was spelled out on some art on their kitchen windowsill. Valak was apparently circling them subconsciously for a long time.

I work with someone, and that person told me many stories about her youngest daughter.
One of them was about this road that she absolutly hated to walk. And when she asked her why, she said there was this man standing by the edge of the forrest.
By now you are probably all guessing it's some creep in the forrest, but this girl have been seeing stuff since she was a child.
So my friend told her daughter to try and talk to this person, maybe this man just needs to tell someone something important.
Then the daughter replyed: It's very difficult to do.... his head is blown off.
My friend then asked someone that have lived in the area forever, and they told her about a man that committed suicide by putting a stick of dynamite under his hat.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but the Crooked Man wasn't CGI. The actor shot in reverse and in time lapse, if I'm not mistaken.
It's sad how CGI it looks, though. I'm sitting there KNOWING it's not CGI, and it looks CGI.

In real life, the Amytiville house is so unique, they always use it because of his design ! Looks like it has eyes, it's so spooky. Great Warren case, post disaster...But that case, the enfield haunting is known as the worst case of possession ever register. Every piece of information about it is insane ! You guys really need to see Annabelle Creation next, you can skip Annabelle, it's average...
I'm not throwing any shade at the Warren's, but there seems to be a good base of people who believe that they were frauds. I'm unbiased towards them, cause what they dealt with is pretty interesting to say the least. Just came across a few videos and articles who tried to expose them.

There are some evidences saying that even the things that they put on records are not entirely true because the truth was said to be too horrifying to reveal. So there might be some exaggerations in their stories to some extent.

I heard that in almost every case they investigated the family was in a financial crisis. I mean they got fun and spooky stories out of it tho which later became amazing movies, so thats great. Even if it wasn't real sadly..
This Conjuring series is so well done, some of the best modern horror movies we've gotten.

@@aaronbarlow4376 depends on what basis you consider it, this one had way more jump scares where as in The Exorcist there were no jump scares it was just the story and graphics that were way more terrifying and disturbing
@@lordvoldemort9750 The Exorcist used some shock tactics as well which could be classified as cheap gimmicks like jump scares.
The horror was really limited to how disturbing Regan looked and her violent, gross behaviour, after a bit some of the shock wore off. Annabelle:creation used more creative/diverse scares and the environmental atmosphere to good effect. To be fair AC had the advantage of being set in a creepy old house in dustbowl America.
The AC story was genuinely terrifying and hear breaking, a powerful demon manipulating the desperation of grieving parents to infest their lives via a creepy doll. A more complex and nuanced story than the very basic Exorcist plot.
The Exorcist was brilliant, groundbreaking and scary for it's time but the genre has been explored and expanded on quite a bit over the years and AC is a prime example of how the art has been refined.

can't wait to see Nikki's reaction to the scene they are around the table and suddenly the demon is behind a woman the moment you absolutely think nothing scary will show up and at this moment you scream like a little girl. I remenber watching this with my class in high school it was amazing the reactions of people because I had already saw the movie and I knew which moment people were going to scream and I couldn't stop enjoying everyone reaction.
Couple days ago i watched the movie grave encounters. Its really worth a watch
To me, this is the scariest film of the entire Conjuring film universe. Especially when you know the actual story, and how even the police swore under oath that they witnessed some of the terrifying paranormal activity that could not be explained with any rational explanation. When cops are saying “yes, I saw horrifying, unexplainable, demonic ish in that house”, you KNOW it happened. 😂

There are several interviews about this phenomenon. This scene of the chair and the cops is totally true, they talk about it for the newspaper!

The Enfield case is the world's most documented poltergeist case ever by specialists of all kind. Still can't be explained yet today.. You can find all the real interviews to the kids, all the psichophonies and all the real material for you to check it out.
LMAO. It was some kid messing around. She was giggling throughout the "interviews." The photos which they claim were proof were absolutely laughable; the kid was just jumping in the air. Fake AF. I grew up 10 minutes from that area during the 80s and nobody I know believed any of it.
I cant believe people take these movies seriously.. in other words, people will believe anything they hear or read! You are the best proof of this. Sad!

I've lived between 11-13 miles away from the place where this happened (Green Street, Brimsdown, Enfield) my whole life. In fact my partner used to live and work in Brimsdown. My mum is very superstitious, my dad isn't, at all but he always warned us never to play with Ouija/Spirit Boards. Had my mum ever suggested it or bought us one my dad would've lost his shit with her.
I did a project on the Enfield Haunting at school, and this is pretty accurate to the witness statements and police reports etc - only thing they added was the nun and the crooked man.
The sad thing is that the family was so poor, they couldn't afford to move house or throw away old furniture etc.
It was proven being a hoax even the children said this was all made up.

It's only inspired by "real" events. Most of it is fictional. And in my opinion, the "real events" are mostly made-up.

The Crooked Man was actually PRACTICAL. He is played by a Spanish actor named Javier Botet, who has a condition where his arms and legs are unusually long and narrow, and his build is slim. He plays a lot of creatures.

Easter Egg: On the bookshelf in the scene where Lorraine and her daughter see the nun passing by their's letters which spell out Valak (the demon entity controlling the Nun, The Crooked Man, and Ed). Plus the crooked man is actually played by a real stunt man who has Marfan Syndrome. That's why his body looks contorted like that.

When i grew up i was told all kinds of crazy stuff that had happend to people in my family. Including my parents and me when i was a baby. The house we lived in has a lot of history. So that there is more out there than we like to belive i am absolutely convinced of.
I feel like the way how some of the entities move in stop motion makes it even creepier. Like, it just settles them as this inhuman creature that doesn't follow the natural order of the world.
Since I’ve been binging these vids I love noticing how Steven does just enough to poke Nikki like saying ‘maybe it was the wind’ or ‘it just wants to play’ but not saying anything that may result in more shoulder tenderising

Conjuring 3 was okay. It had its moments. I have to wonder if the change in director had anything to do with it. Not James Wan, the director for La Llorona, which was also mediocre.
