A prequel of a prequel honestly had no business being so good... it truly had nothing going for it and it turned out to be one of the best horror films I've witnessed
Absolutely as soon as this movie started and I was like oh boyyy this is going to be horrifying XD this movie is definitely one of the scariest movies I ve ever seen.
Really, the only flaw I think it really has is that it requires you to have seen the first Annabelle to understand the ending. The director even reverse-engineered a meaning into that series of drawings of the car approaching from the first film that were never explained.
This was absolutely the best of the Annabelle movies. I agree with Nikki when she said "This is one of the scariest fucking movies I've ever seen." I couldn't help but feel so sorry for Janice, because the level of acting from Talitha Bateman made her fear and terror so real.
The creepy factor and atmospheric horror is up there. The helplessness you feel as you watch the first girl struggle to get away followed by the rest of the kids struggling to get away as Annabelle torments them. This movie is so so good.

That gave chill so much, and it's the 2nd time I've watched it. Especially the little girl that throw Anabelle on the well, is the girl from "Ouija origin of evil" that adds to the chill, at first I thought she's the one gonna be possessed.
I remember seeing this in theaters with my older sister and her bf, and they walked out towards the end while I stayed and YELLED when the twist came up in the ending. I was excited I love James Wan’s films and the connection of Annabelle (2014) with Creation
This was directed by the man who did Shazam! and a lot of people forget he first did Lights out before this film. They just think of Shazam! and think comedy but was directed by a horror mystro.
Been waiting for you two to watch this one. This one is my favorite of the Conjuring universe. It was freaky as heck. So good. My favoritre moment is the scene when Janice backs up into the dark and then her eyes glow and raise up as she changes forms. That moment is one of the creepiest in my opinion. Love it.
Watching that post credit scene of Annabelle moving her head at the cinema was freaking intense... the silence and that jingle... gosh! This movie fires🔥

Steve is correct by saying the brutality of the demon (Annabelle) in this one really raises the stakes and makes the horror much more palpable. By far one of my favourite horror movies of recent years.

First 2 annabelles are so good. Just the little things make it great! Like the demon standing behind the doll under the stairs. I didnt even notice that part until watching at home a couple of times!
