    I do like the stainless steel, Diamond Pacific should offer a stainless upgrade to their plastic trays and hoods. I have seen plenty of used Diamond Pacific machines where the trays and hoods are all cracked up.

    Thank you for explaining the difference in the cab machines and your suggestion on what would work depending on your budget. Thank for your insights. I really do appreciate it. I'm still in the market for a cab machines and it's good to know which one I think I can afford to do good quality work

    So I am just a newb...but I really appreciate you and the community...many kind people...I have learned alot from your channel....I have a serious question about chert...I have a very cool piece that is very blue and gray...to pinkish...it's from one of our many trips and I am wondering if it can be an agate as well as a piece of chert ??? The inside is very cool and has purple crystals in one small portion...if anyone would have an answer...I'd really appreciate it...I have learned some great things from you all...and wanted to say Thanks for your videos...especially when you actually slice the agates...I am now not as afraid to slice my specimens as I once was...I'm not big on chatting...but I just have to say that you are appreciated !!!!

      @edwardcheck1086 it's really the flat lap and saw attachments that have me leaning in that direction. I'm mostly collecting Agate and Geode so I want to be able to Cab but I also want to flat polish some cut geodes as well as cut some smaller ones as well.

    Have you checked out the Kingsley north cabber?

    • @lapidarydave
      @lapidarydave  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have it’s very similar to the Highland Park. It’s a little bit smaller, but I like that you could put different pads on the side on the Kingsley where you can’t on the highland
      The Kingsley comes with plumbing, which is nice and the water pump
      But both of the $1400 Highland and Kingsley North come with garbage wheels, which can easily be replaced,
      It’s a tough call, but I’d probably get the Kingsley. It’s just a little bit more since it’s not free shipping.

      @@lapidarydave thanks! I’m actually considering the Kingsley cabber 8 it is a beast. In waiting for them to release the updated version in 8” to pull the trigger.

    Hey Dave I need some of your expert advice. I'm in search of a machine I can basically take from my ridgid tile saw and or trim saw and polish it to perfection. Mainly agate and obsidian, jasper, and petrified wood and thunder eggs. Mainly 6in and smaller. I'm not cabbing. Just flat and contour polishing for my personal collection. Oh and a few opals. Anywho I'd love to pick your brain if possible. You are so so sweet and chill. And I can't think of anyone I would trust more for advice. If I'm going to spend a couple grand 😢 😢 lol😅😅😅 I want to know I'm making the right choice. Once in a lifetime purchase for me.
