- 5149 Meter flight from Tonsai Beach to Poda Islands Krabi/ Thailland with Inspire 1 original Radio controller and Copter.
Lost Rc Signal at 5149 Meters distance ,and the bird came back with RTH Function
..Was flying a TB48 Battery and landed it with 39% Battery capacitiy.
ï am very impressed !
But please not try this near people...!!! This flight was over sea and before 1.of march 2015.New laws in Thailand are very hard now,and you can get 1 year of jail plus around 1200 Dollar fine for filming with a camera on a copter.......Since the Micro SD card only allows 4 Gb,the rest of the flight back is in a next file.
Totally radical got to be one of the coolest drone flights I've seen yet, well done that man :)

Wow,awesome video,thanks for sharing..They should think outhere on upgrading it with flotation device in case of emergercy landing.Landing on water could be a choise,so you might be able to find it,sinking it like titanic would be a bit painful...haha!
search and rescue copters should use drones like this, imagine deploying 8 of these around an area and relaying the video feed via satalite to a central hub where people who arn't on scene can actually see the feed

Thailand has some strict laws regarding these quadcopters. The people who pushed this law must be paranoid of getting caught doing something illegal that's for sure.

Norie M Normaly you can pay a teamoney to the poliice,but officialy it is forbidden without permision to fly copter with a camera in Thailand by 1 year of prision and 1000 Dollar fine...but most people have no problems... so just check the lawys,befor you travel somewhere ...peace

I must coment on this again. This is pure combination of both spirit and flight. One might call it a Soulflight. Think of the applications - now possible with Oculus Ritf as well (will get better later with quality - the Rift ofc). A breakthrough. If you didn't know that you are in 21st century, now you know for sure. Ress hospital units with defiblirator, close invairments studies, off limits tourism, training, transport (DHL Germany 5 kg for off limits post) realestate, meditation (this song you combined with your video is epic), explore. The list is endless. Use it for good. Will share my videos soon (taking legal course in my country). Inspire !

What a great flight!! I like the choice of music to. I am impressed by inspire 1!!
Currently I fly a modified djiF450 white a dji e600 setup and 12 inch props.
I fly it on a 8000 MHA 6s lipo. Auw is 2.6 kilograms. flight time with this setup is 35+ min.

It is close....but the James Bond Island is more north west and called Khao Phing Kan.this what you see in my movie is Poda Islands

i fly the Inspire out of the box...no mods...original Antennas...flight time is around 15 Min...but i land with 30 %

Not sure if I want to spend 3k for 15 minutes of flight time. For $3k I should get at least 30 minutes of flight time. The phantom 3 gets 23 minutes and for $1k.
when it lose the Rc Signal it will go to RTH and fly back...and if it lose energy it will fall down and sink like the Titanic :-)
when it gets below a certain battery level (determined by the distance to the home point) it will automatically return as well.

Guys i just bought my inspire 2 days ago. i just fly it 4 times and i didn't do any update yet. around 400 meters i start to lose signal and disconnect and come back automatic.
please if someone can guide me right as am still discovering the drone will be great.

Muhammad Noussier Do you have the maximum height and distance in the pilot app set to 400M? Max is 500M. You cant disable Max height but you can for distance.

+Mc Vosloo I even doubt it's dji let alone i1, i1 retracts it's gears up so you don't see the blades and even with gears down they don't get in the shot like here it's over 40% of the shot lol.
+Maksim Monastyrskyy at the time he posted it, the update could possibly have not been made yet.. Also, the blades do show when it has not retracted and by means of fast movement or lean angle.
So, you have a $3k USD aircraft and put a 4GB SD card in it...Shame on you for being so cheap! ...
