So glad to see a .hack// game finally coming to PC. been in love with .hack// since the beginning and it's such a crying shame it's been overshadowed by Sword Art Online. I wish we that "The World" was finally in development now that the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift with Oculus Touch exist now. It seems like the perfect time for it to come out.
It's only overshadowed because SAO is favorited by the publishers. If Dot Hack was given a chance with new content, manga, anime series, and movies, it would easily surpass profit potential of SAO especially since we're in the age of AI and VR Metaverses!
Am I the only one who was singing Aina's theme and Gentle Hands the entire time they were playing in the background? Man I love the music in this game.
Can't wait dot.hack//G.U was never released in the UK, I played the original quadrilogy and got all the anime series so very excited one of my favourite Jrpgs.
This is great but I wish it was the original four games they were remastering more, I prefer the tale of Kite and his pals. But! If this does well, maybe we'll get the original four afterwards too. ^^ I'm definitely buying.

"Haseo, this is your new power." Just as Haseo is surrounded by 1 of every weapon type in the game? Could this mean we'll finally be able to use every weapon instead of just dual swords, great sword, and scythe? SWEET.
The only downside to the series is you can't skip a game cuz your character will be level 1 and it'l be impossible to fight anything without transferring your stats/items from last game

I think they revealed a little bit too much about the new story as well as hinting at the ending of vol.3 but regardless this looks great. Hopefully if this is a success they can get around to remastering the original tetralogy
I didn't watch the english version of Naruto T_T so i didn't know that they had same VA. But, peoples always said that noctis, haseo and sasuke looks alike because of their hairstyle (which is really same) But as you said they have different personalities and character...And yeah I can't wait for this remastered ^^

I personally am playing the original games prior to the release date for this, but that's for nostalgia. However, .hack//GU is a standalone game with nice cameos and throwbacks to the original series for PS2. The problem you'll face with trying to play the originals is that they're rare and expensive to get your hands on. I had a scare a month back when UPS managed to lose my entire collection that was being mailed from my grandparents home in one state to the state I now live in. Luckily, they found it, because otherwise, it could cost between $200-800 just to get the full series.

The wiki states that his weapon is NOT a Lost Weapon. So why is it floating with the other Lost Weapons. Also, it is assumed that he does not have a Lost Weapon due to the fact that his Avatar's Power is to only reset the whole internet. I know he has an avatar. I finished the whole game. My question is why is his weapon floating with the other Lost Weapon since his weapon is not a Lost Weapon.

I love this series too much!! Please do a remaster for the first original 4 games and continue the story with new games at all!

No, SAO FB looks good, especially if it's playable offline because PC lacks anime third person shooters that is not an MMO. (aside from God eater)

The 1st series isn't needed. However if you haven't watched it already, I recommend watching .Hack//Roots for GU is the continuation of that series.
