Going through the Discovery Channel Bus 11 years ago: And here we have some lovely syringes that the team use for "b12" injections, and a freezing compartment where it looks like the riders have frozen some raspberry juice.

To sponsor a world tour tear annually approximately 25 million usd maybe slightly less (according to GCN's estimates in their video). The cost of 5000 $150 bikes $750,000. Why not cut out the middle man and buy 167,000 bicycles? Just a thought argument, please don't hate
They already give a lot of money to the charity and dimension data provide the 25 million not the charity, dimension data don't have to run the team with qhubeka they could just run a team on there own and not bother about raising the awareness of the charity
Sure I accept that, just pointing out what can be done when people really want to do something and asking a question. In no way denigrating them. After all I don't give 100% of my wages to charity

The money the spend on the team could easily buy 5000 bikes, but hey lets use it vor advertisement and make other people donate the money.

If u were raising money for charity, which would get more money. If u just get £50 from yourself or if you spend £40 on advertising and lots of other people see and donate?
I quickly googled. So entry point for a pro cycling team seems to be around 15 million a season. So if they'ed instead spend 3 million on bikes you could ship 20.000 of them to Africa. I doubt they get so much on donations.
+Pacific Film probably in the first couple of years they probably won't be getting as much in donations as they would if they just spent the money direct, but as the charity become more known then more people will donate and it will cross the threshold. But think about how they got here in the first place. If someone a couple of years ago hadn't of thought to start a charity, then we wouldn't be here discussing this. Think about how many people this is going out to and who will now see this charity and donate
Yup, you don't get it. They are a pro-cycling team, that happens to be sponsored (free btw) by Qhubeka. They can't donate their team budget, because then they cannot race. They would spend that money being a world-tour team regardless of who sponsors them or who they bring money for in advertisement.
