You guys represent the best years of NASCAR. Its no longer watchable for me. I've moved to IndyCar. Those years between 1985 and 2000 were incredibly entertaining. Much respect to you both!
93 was absolutely my favorite year (especially since I really started watching in 91). He finished 2nd in the championship to Earnhardt, the 10 race wins, the recovery from the superspeedway flips, and the tribute at the end of the Atlanta race with Rusty (the race winner) and Earnhardt driving alongside, with the 7 and 28 flags doing a polish victory lap..that was 100% my favorite memory in all the years that I watched. Thank you, Rusty and Kenny
There's nothing better when brothers speak to brothers like this me and my brother do it I wish we were as famous as the two of you but there's nothing more enjoyable Herm Rusty good to see both of you and Rusty because of your MGD car Man that's what I drank for 2 years even though I was a number three Earnhardt fan but now got so much more respect for you Daryl Bobby I mean so many more that the hatred of you guys has lifted and the veil of enjoying it all
I have to say I wasn’t a fan of Rusty back when he was racing but listening to him talk about racing and other drivers back then he’s a pretty cool guy to listen too. Starting to gain a lot of respect for Rusty now!!
I was mot even a little mad, accidents happen when u race hard. You can just about always tell when its on purpose.miss you guys on track. You and a few others made racing great. Bravo gentlemen
Rusty was my favorite while I was growing up. We used to race bicycles around our grandparents house and I always said I was Rusty. I loved “Midnight” and even painted my first race car in that scheme. Rusty is the MAN!
Didn't Dale Earnhardt Sr give Rusty his nickname "Rubberhead" ? Love you Wallace guys. Rusty Wallace was my 1st favorite driver. Thanks for everything you have done for Nascar and us fans.
Dale gets credit for it...but the first time i remember hearing it was Rudd after Fall Dover in 93....maybe dale said it after the bristol flip in 88, or earlier in 93
That’s great ! Always love me some Rusty. I just purchased a Miller genuine draft Race shirt from the 95 era. I still have all my souvenirs Rusty was and is still my favorite driver.. I really wish he would run in the New SRX series. Please 🙏. Me and my Mother would absolutely love it. A black and yellow #2 car That would just be. “The Best Thing ever!!!!!
I actually have 2 photos my Brother In Law took at Talladega in 93 with Rusty in mid air upside down. That race was our 1st Nascar race we ever went to.
Absolutely my favorite driver since I was little.I picked Rusty as a 7 year old because of the Bear on his car.My mom and dad got divorced when I was 12 and she told me we had to move. I didn't want to go and stayed with grandparents a year. She convinced me with there being a racetrack a mile down the road and she would take me to every race. I still live in North Wilkesboro and My man Rusty Wallace won the first race I seen in person.
My old man lost a pool of cash when the 17 tide ride slid through the grass. Sitting above a tunnel (32 row) in the Chrysler section E/F. It was a long ride home. He was sooo pissed and cussing Krusty's name..lol. He got over it decades later, but he was always a Jaws fan. I still have one of the Winston posters, where Tim Richmond had his Willie out behind the ear of another driver. Lol
Kenny by far my favorite Rusty paint scheme is the black and yellow Miller Genuine Draft, that car was absolutely beautiful. I can think of some great looking cars from that era. Dale Sr. in the black/silver Goodwrench, Davey Allison in the black/orange Texaco/Havoline and Kyle's Mello Yello car. Those black cars make the other colors stand out. Probably 1992 into 1993 was the coolest era. The last race in 92 being Richard Petty's last race and Jeff Gordon's first. Alan Kulwicki winning the championship as a single car team. That was a great way to end that season.
Love these stories! My favorite years of Winston Cup! Glad to hear the MGD Black car was Rusty’s favorite, cause it was mine too. Still drink MGD to this day!! Miss ya Rusty! Glad to see ya and hear your voice again!
O could listen to these stories for hours, Kenny! The Earnhardt, Wallace, Waltrip racing years were quite possibly the best time of NASCAR!! Keep bringing these stories!! The hell with 4 minutes, give me 4 hours baby!
Ive always been Rusty Wallace fan and am only old enough to really watch his later years with ford but recently I’ve been watching his Pontiac days on TH-cam . Old races are so good.
Hey Kenny, please ask your brother Rusty whatever happened to the Harley-Davidson car that he won with at Bristol in the 2000 night race..? I believe it was his last Bristol win, and I always loved the paint scheme on that car with the flames, blue paint and the Harley logo. Rusty Wallace still is my favorite driver & I think it’s really cool that he builds motorcycles now too! Keep up the good work! Your videos are awesome! Thank you! 🙏
Rusty was really the only one that could go toe-to-toe with Dale Earnhardt in that era. It's wild that they were such good friends off the track, because the competition on the track was fierce.
93 Dale won his 6th cup with 6 races won plus The Busch Clash, The Winston and the 125 mile qualifier in Daytona. But, Rusty is yacking about his 93 season being so great.
Drivers back then we're just built different man. I miss the early to mid 2000s when there was still guys like Earnhardt Sr, Terry Labonte, Kyle petty, Rudd, Martin, Rusty, Bill Elliott, and Sterling Marlin who have been racing since the late 70s early 80s and still good. Now everyone retires earlier. Harvick I think had some left too. Kurt Busch definitely did
I grew up in a family full of diehard #3 fans. Rusty Wallace one of the biggest names and best drivers in the sports history was a true rival. I actually live in Lincoln and about 5 miles from the “Talladega” track and can’t imagine 243mph . Crazy
Rusty Wallace ,Hall of Fame,One of the greatest to ever strap into a Stockcar, and I do believe Earnhardt wishes he had balls of steel like Rusty.Rusty has the cool stories, because he is a cool guy.Looking forward to more.
Huge Rusty fan. Would love to hear about closing laps of 99 Daytona 500. His car was so strong all day thought that was going to be his year. Love these stories and your channel.
Look It's two fearless Nascar Drivers!!! I came in to see the last 60 laps of today's go-cart Exhibition. Very slow and boring. Thank you guys for the great memories of what it once was ❤
Heck yea! My fav all time racer! I went to the Bristol night races for the first time last year. Got to wear my old school midnight shirt. If it wasn’t for the GO3T, Rusty would have a few more chips. And the wrecks he walked away from. Wooo. Feel like a kid again listening to these stories. Wish he ran a few more years, def left some wins out there. Good stuff Kenny.
1993 was a great year for Rusty he won Dover that year and the race took over 6 hours to complete the only way I know that is I recorded all the races back then and a vhs tape could only hold 6 hours on the right setting... Keep em comin Herman!!!
As a DW fan, I never could stand Rusty after the 89 Winston. Took me years to finally get over it. As a kid I would try to hex Rusty every week to blow a motor or have a bad finish. Never wanted him to wreck or get hurt, just have mechanical issues and finish laps down.
My brother was a BIG Rusty fan. My Mother was a big Dale Sr fan. She bought a 1993 Beretta and we took a family trip to Texas. Overnight, my Mom's car had eggs thrown all over it due to the Earnhardt stickers and tags. My brother (who was around 17 at the time) thought it was funny because he didnt like Dale Sr. Man.....what an era. Im sure stories like this exist in millions of people's lives......but this one story is mine.
Awesome video Kenny!! As a huge Rusty Wallace fan i loved this! You need to ask him at some point about him and Rudd settling it out at the road courses back in the day!
I was so mad at Rusty for spinning out my driver at the 89 Winston Open. Man I miss those days. We had some of the best drivers. Ole Rusty’s ok. Life’s too short to be bitter. That $250k looks good on him.
I met Rusty back in the early 90s. He was his house I believe on Lake Norman, that might b incorrect. It's been a long time. But he was gracious enough to do a meet and greet at a hotel with all the team members at Metromont Materials. To b honest I wasn't a fan of his at all, until that day. I really enjoyed the rivalry between him and Earnhardt after that.
You guys represent the best years of NASCAR. Its no longer watchable for me. I've moved to IndyCar. Those years between 1985 and 2000 were incredibly entertaining. Much respect to you both!

Thank you, Rusty and Kenny
I love stories of the old days. Longer the better. I could sit hours for 10 hours listening. That black and yellow #2 was a beast
I been a Rusty Wallace fan since I first watched him run dirt in late 70's.. The Black and Yellow Miller Genuine Draft car was my favorite car.
Kenny , you and Rusty are great people! Glad to have been a part of your careers growing up ❤ Thanks
Im glad you shared this story with us Herm thank Rusty again for us!
Rusty is an Icon.
The 80’s & 90’s NASCAR racing was the best years of racing, love hearing old stories of back in the day.

Jeff Gordon/Ray Evernham killed the Earnhardt/Rusty rivalry in 1995-1998. He was beating everyone and he made it look easy.
I was mot even a little mad, accidents happen when u race hard. You can just about always tell when its on purpose.miss you guys on track. You and a few others made racing great. Bravo gentlemen
I love hearing these old stories.
Rusty was my favorite while I was growing up. We used to race bicycles around our grandparents house and I always said I was Rusty. I loved “Midnight” and even painted my first race car in that scheme. Rusty is the MAN!
My all time favorite Rusty car was his 1990 MGD #27 Pontiac. Specifically with the gold numbers. I saw that car run at The Winston when I was little.
Rusty was my favorite driver from the time I started watching NASCAR until he retired!
Didn't Dale Earnhardt Sr give Rusty his nickname "Rubberhead" ? Love you Wallace guys. Rusty Wallace was my 1st favorite driver. Thanks for everything you have done for Nascar and us fans.

This video was more fun than the actual race today. IndyCar was snoozer too
Can’t say enough about hearing these types of stories. Thanks. Fan since 1985.
Good Old Midnight ! love that Rusty restored her.. Car was badass !
I actually have 2 photos my Brother In Law took at Talladega in 93 with Rusty in mid air upside down. That race was our 1st Nascar race we ever went to.

Kenny, I love the interviews with my favorites Rusty, Mark, Schrader, etc. Please keep them coming

As a long time Rusty fan, I could listen to his stories all day. I miss the ole Rusty and Dale rivalry days.
Very good interview. Rusty is a good dude. Talked to him many times when he was at the Pontiac dealership in Morristown.
Whatever car Rusty was driving was my favorite!! Legend!! Black and gold
Kenny by far my favorite Rusty paint scheme is the black and yellow Miller Genuine Draft, that car was absolutely beautiful. I can think of some great looking cars from that era. Got to Meet Rusty bunch of times, always class Man. Treated my twins awesome! Saw all 9 wins at Bristol.
Ive always been Rusty Wallace fan and am only old enough to really watch his later years with ford but recently I’ve been watching his Pontiac days on TH-cam . Old races are so good.

Rusty was my favorite til he retired. Met him many times at Edelweiss Restaurant in Pocono.

Good on you brother Kenny
Loved the story, I remember watching as it all went down!!!
Love Rusty man what a great driver one of my top 3!! And that black and yellow car is unforgettable!
Black and gold. Midnight #2
Rusty was a heck of a wheel man. He retired too early. I believe he had more in the tank.
Super competetive.
@@MRosati5000 you might be right I'm used to dirt racing.
Drivers back then we're just built different man. He's said as much too. He cited '08 as a roundabout time he should have retired for real.
Watched Larry Phillips, Mark Martin and Rusty race at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Springfield, MO back in the '70's. Just great stuff!!
Love your channel Kenny. Keep up the hard/great work.
Rusty’s work ethic was his key to success 👍
I could listen to Rusty all day.
I grew up in a family full of diehard #3 fans. Rusty Wallace one of the biggest names and best drivers in the sports history was a true rival. I actually live in Lincoln and about 5 miles from the “Talladega” track and can’t imagine 243mph . Crazy

I really miss the Winston Cup Series and the drivers that made it great!
Great stories from the Wallace brothers! I still have an autographed picture from Rusty I got in Milwaukee around 1983 or 1984! I miss those ASA days.
Black & Gold Miller Genuine Draft
The sexiest damn car in the Winston Cup Series!
Circumference, not diameter. I love these stories!
👍
As a DW fan, I never could stand Rusty after the 89 Winston. Took me years to finally get over it. As a kid I would try to hex Rusty every week to blow a motor or have a bad finish. Never wanted him to wreck or get hurt, just have mechanical issues and finish laps down.
Keep the stories coming Rusty

I love me some Rusty!!!!! Followed him from ASA. Thanks Kenny
Kenny!!!! We got get you some sound control and some clip on mikes bro, love the stories
I love these stories. Great insights to the behind the scenes.
The 1994-1996 MGD Ford was the best car Rusty ever had. Kenny's Square D car around that time wasn't too bad either....lol
Can't wait for more Kenny
Kenny the stories are great keep rolling them out!
Good hearing about the old days. Keep up the good content Herm!
I still support LITE…
Because of the Blue Deuce!!
Cheers 🍻 from Montana!
Miss those days. Can’t believe where NASCAR is today. Go woke go broke
I love the 1989 Winston and living in Michigan back then nascar was hard to follow
Great interview guys. Can't wait to hear the 242 mph story from the pilot himself.
My brother was a BIG Rusty fan. My Mother was a big Dale Sr fan. She bought a 1993 Beretta and we took a family trip to Texas. Great interview!!
I loved the Miller genuine car the best and still do! I don't know why Miller got rid of it.
Can you still buy Miller Genuine Draft beer?
Great interview kenny rusty is a legend and a great guy no ego bs
240 mph that is insane
Great video!
Rusty Wallace is the nicest driver I've ever met.
Certainly, my favorite color scheme were the 'Black & Yellow/Gold' MGD Cars. 👍
Awesome video Kenny!! As a huge Rusty Wallace fan i loved this! You need to ask him at some point about him and Rudd settling it out at the road courses back in the day!
Fantastic!🏁
That’s was awesome. Good sht Kenny
I was so mad at Rusty for spinning out my driver at the 89 Winston Open. Man I miss those days. We had some of the best drivers. Ole Rusty’s ok. Life’s too short to be bitter. That $250k looks good on him.
I wish somebody would. Try to Put. Harry Gant in the Hall of Fame. Why he still alive. Thanks #33 Bandit.
I met Rusty back in the early 90s. He was his house I believe on Lake Norman, that might b incorrect. It's been a long time.
