I don't quite like Margot Robbie in the present, but there were some movies like in this one that she looked really attractive, at least for my personal tastes
This may be one of the best uses of time travel I've ever seen. Its not some random McGuffin to inflat some random plot, but is just a wholesome power to let the main character relive his life, and change his future for a positive. Its literally being able to examine all the "what-ifs" we have about our actions, how those actions have complex and sometimes unforeseen consequences that would of bumped into us had we not chosen them, or not chosen them.
Yeah, it's definitely a departure from the usual trope. Even his ability to go back and fully reverse his mistakes like getting his daughter back. Usually the character's attempt to cause a certain outcome just end up causing more of a mess the more they try to change things.
Jesus is real and loves you he died so that your sins can be forgiven and if you believe in him and turn from your sins you will have eternal life there is hope beyond death have a blessed day😇
This movie really did a fantastic job at creating an incredible chemistry between the father and son. I've never had my dad in my life. He was never around because my mom took me and walked out of his life(granted he was definitely a prick back then). It really made me wish I had a father figure in my life like James. My real dad was never around and my stepdad was an alcoholic who would get into yelling matches with my mom and beat me when my mom wasn't home.
Jesus is real and loves you he died so that your sins can be forgiven and if you believe in him and turn from your sins you will have eternal life there is hope beyond death have a blessed day😇
That part with Charlotte and how he eventually realizes they were never meant to be together is heartwarming in a way. Some people just aren’t meant to be, but the right one will come around one day, and he ends up finding that in Mary.
I often wonder what might have happened if I hadn’t been so self absorbed and stuck in my own self loathing and actually acknowledged some of the girls in their 20’s ten years ago when I was in my early 30’s. I turn 40 this week so this video had me thinking.
Love this movie. I’m really happy that it did not get weirdly heavy or follow other generic time travel movies where there is some kind of dire consequence for time traveling or the main character uses time travel to gain power and wealth. Imagine, a time travel movie where the only use of the power is to find happiness for you and those around you. Truly a feel good and wholesome movie.
Do yourself a favor and do what I did. I stopped watching this video a couple minutes in and watched it on Netflix. Probably one of my favorite movies now.
Beautiful idea. In fact, now that I know its as wholesome as even the summary made me cry, I will now watch it with my girlfriend, and appreciate her more than ever before.
The movie was amazing. The decisions he made weren't random, they were well thought out and the time traveling is something we all can relate to the what if moments. Loved this film.

Little things that I noticed: 1) Tim tried to use his time traveling powers to make Charlotte fall in love with him. It didn't work. But, he never had to use his powers to make Mary fall in love with him. Even when he used his powers to become a better lover for Mary, he didn't need to. 2) The movie defies traditional stereotypes and categories. Although it is definitely romantic, funny, and sugary, It is not a rom-com. Although it has time travel, it is not a sci-fi. In fact, the romance and the science fiction elements serve to undergird the the central theme of the movie: "REALLY live life in the present with deep love and kindness". What makes this movie so radically different from other "time travel" films is that the main character doesn't uses his powers for banal and selfish things like winning the lottery. The results, although not unexpected, are refreshingly interesting. 3) Because Tim and his father are "in" on their secret, it allows the movie makers to explore their relationship a satisfying and unique ways. It could be argued that this movie is more about Tim and his father than about Tim and Mary. 4) Although Tim has the ability to travel back in time, Mary has the greater power. Her love for Tim caused him to let go of the past and to embrace the present.
1). He did use his power to make Mary fall in love with him. She has a boyfriend and he travel back to prevent that from happening. 2). He did use it for selfish reason.
That ending is so fucking touching man, just from hearing the concept of him going back in time just to relive being with his dad one more time, that shit bout to make me cry

I can’t remember where I found this movie originally, but I ended up being so pleasantly surprised by it. Def worth the watch if You ever get the chance
I watched this movie when it was released (2013). At that time, prior to watching it, I thought it would be another one of those lame cheesy romantic dramas, yet I decided to give it a chance. Since then, I've lost count of how many times I watched it again. It's very well done and makes you seriously reflect about your own life. The last scene with young Tim and his father on the beach made me shed some tears (and I'm not a crying person). It wasn't before I watched for the 4th time that I realized that the title of this movie is intentionally similar to *About Tim* yet they named it *About Time.*
Thank you Story Recapped, for giving me the actual perspective the movie was intended to be seen with, I had seen this movie before and I understood about it then.. But... the way it was explained in this video ( like most others :D )made me realize a few meaningful things I had missed out on before. ❤
When i saw the title i thought that this movie would be about this guy hooking up with multiple women but its just a hart warming story about a man with the power to travel through time and to learn to live in the moment.
Yeah, it's likea more wholesome version of groundhog day. Though that's not a good comparison since the main reason why Bill Murry started acting out, killing himself and sleeping around was because he had no control and long term consequences and more importantly, long term dreams or life goals, where impossible. Still tho, come on... The guy has to have a heart of gold and willpower stronger than adimantium, to *not* pull some Groundhog day shit. (Tho he doesnt reset when he dies... Thats another really important difference too. If he got hit by a bus the movie would be over... unless his son whent back in time and saved him... That could have been a twist. Totally would have derailed the movie though. It would need to be it's own movie. Maybe an action movie... Wait son goes back in time to save parent... That's just terminator two with less steps...) *Edit* Boy I really got derailed there. Sorry 'bout my ramblings. A bit sleep deprived.
Possibly because there is a part of us that wishes we could do this. We’ve all had those days we kicked ourselves for not saying or doing something we wish we would have after the fact.
Ok I love how this is actually a nice movie and not a tragedy it's more real in a way where the protagonist has actual character growth and thinks about what will change
For all of you, I send lots of good thoughts and strength! Don't be afraid! Our dad passed away 8 years ago, was a big change to our family, and we were sad for a time. Still, there are moments of it, rarely. And reminds of perspective of life. But life do go on, and we all have our time to go. I believe, it was his, as I do know, sooner or later will be mine. Be blessed. Don't be afraid!
We don't die, Earth is a place to experience life and grow. Your father life was to learn from his mistakes and have you and leave wisdom behind to guide you. Yes, you will miss him when he leaves this world, take heed that you will see him again! Have faith!

This may be one of the best uses of time travel I've ever seen. Its not some random McGuffin to inflat some random plot, but is just a wholesome power to let the main character relive his life, and change his future for a positive. Its literally being able to examine all the "what-ifs" we have about our actions, how those actions have complex and sometimes unforeseen consequences that would of bumped into us had we not chosen them, or not chosen them.
hey what did you called him? McGuffin? Nobody calls him McGuffin!
Yeah, it's definitely a departure from the usual trope. Even his ability to go back and fully reverse his mistakes like getting his daughter back. Usually the character's attempt to cause a certain outcome just end up causing more of a mess the more they try to change things.

That's just terminator two with less steps...)
