hey!! barista here, they keep ringing it up as lattes bc the only difference between cappuccino and lattes is in hot drinks and how you steam the milk so when you make it iced it’s basically just a latte. but you can totally keep ordering it that way if you like it that way! i hope this helps and isnt annoying haha!

Bry to say love your content is not grand enough of word to applaud how much you educated us- at Merit- I would have no shame in going back and telling them you enjoy there coffee but. that one was a little off- definetly would give them a chance to correct I think they would appreciate your honesty- I also love lots of ice- now I ask for a small cup of ice on the side so my coffee space doesn’t get taken up with ice- girl your coffee is prime real estate 😊

As a native Austinite I haven't heard of like 80% of these places. 😅An interesting twist would be indie coffee shops on the fringes/suburbs of Austin where most people actually live (instead of downtown), like Instill in Cedar Park, Meridian in Buda, Runaway Luna in Bee Cave...
you should do matcha next!😄 I will say the matcha at civil goat and jo’s are not worth it😭 it’s been tricky finding good matcha in Austin hahah, but I’ll definitely try proud Mary!

Plaza Colombian Coffee is my favorite coffee in austin, but it is a little pricey… I get a “Houston bogota” (honey cinnamon iced cappucino) with oat milk which comes out to 7 dollars. still, it’s veryyyy good

I don’t think I noticed summer moon, if you haven’t been it’s honestly a go to spot for me when I visit Austin. Love their moon milk but probably cause I love sweeter coffee and I’m wishing I could figure out the recipe to make it!

I feel like Bry HAD to have been a barista. I haven’t watched too many of her videos yet, I’m just getting into her channel, but I feel like she probably was at one point?
was a former barista at both pershing east (when it was GG) and mañana: this was a great selection of cafés. if i were to add any shops to try, i'd say: maha -- their cardamom syrup is fire. also, it's attached to a yoga studio, so the vibes are 👌🏼 carpenter hotel -- again, vibes are immaculate, would suggest the lady bird syrup which is an orange/cardamom combo i don't think these are the BEST it gets, but they both have unique offerings and an inviting space. other than that, all my favorites made your list. shouts out to proud mary, fleet, figure 8 and try hard. 🫶🏼
For iced coffee i will tip if the baristas are making it fresh because thats still working to make your drink and not just pouring it in a cup. Its so annoying making giant heavy cold brews 4-5 times a week 🥲 as of what i know shops that use la colombe beans dont make it fresh since the brand sells a bagged cold brew so i always ask before ordering iced coffee.
