I'm sad but I'm glad. Those ladies are definitely the founding mothers. I'm glad they get to be seen still though and we get to continue to see their children continue the legacy lol
12 does is going to make delivery season SO SO SO much easier for you! I know it was hard to sell some, and get the number of does down, but I am so happy to know you’ll have an easier time of it. Plus, while I know the little ones are the main income, and having less will mean taking a hit, having less to bottle feed and tattoo and vaccinate, etc, will also make it easier. Cannot wait to see them all in a few months!!!

it would be funny to compare next year Mia and Mobie since the first is a stunning May granddaughter and the later is the last daughter of May. And see how similar they are what different strengths they have ftom their different sire lines

Oh no, you will sell Tippi and Bessie, I really do like the red does, they are so unique. Latley you have a lot black in your goats, all of them are pretty but much dark colours.

It's getting exciting! I miss being able to breed in August/September, and now I can't do that since it always snows here in WV in January/February. 🤣🤣 May and Daisy are my favorite does from you guys. I'd love to buy a doeling or buckling from y'all. Maybe next year!

GOD! It is that time again!! It feels like we just had babies.
So how much does it cost to start a goat herd? I’m saving up to get a new house with some land so I could have some goats for milk and chickens down the road, but don’t know the general cost
There is no easy answer to that. Too many variations. They cost a lot to care for though.
It's not just the cost, but maintenance -- which is TIME and COMMITTMENT. Hoofs trimmed every 6 weeks, monthly checks on general health and worming, vaccinations, etc. Very labor intensive.

Did you keep any does that you aren't breeding this year? I ask, because, Cassie is one of my favorites (as I call her my namesake!). Lol. I didn't know if you placed her in another home, since I know you are down-sizing for the eventual move to Arkansas.
