That was very interesting to hear and see that there are several deer antlers. With the translator I could follow it very well and you have a very nice hobby. The pair you have from the 7th head would look fantastic mounted! I mount the pairs of antlers I find myself on artificial skull plates and hardwood shields...even the small pairs look nice and are great mementoes of stags you’ve been watching through the season. There is a guy in South Molton, North Devon who mounts Antlers professionally and does a great job at a good price. It would be a nice tribute to an old friend to have one of his most attractive heads mounted!
Ya good point ! Just haven’t got the room once there mounted they take up more room ! Already have a mature red stag I found dead mounted up on my staircase ! Took me 3y to convince the Mrs to let me put it up !! Lol !! But ya might think about doing it one day!! Cheers mate !!! 👍

Huge antlers, and you're right that very last pair of antlers is very rare to see. I never see that here in the Netherlands, so ye apperently they get shot before that age.

Ya exactly that !!! There were a few hinds & stag kept privately in a near by Manor House & they escaped ! And ya they were of Warnham decent !! Cheers for your comments 👍
@@deerohdeer8000 Thanks for that, there's a fair bit of Warnham blood in the UK's wild red deer. They seem to produce multi pointed heads with mass rather than length. The East Anglian reds produce about 70% of the largest UK red deer heads and they probably originated from two or three hinds from Warnham and Windsor Park in calf and "left out" by the Norwich Staghounds in the late 1940s. They hunted "carted" deer that were kept at the kennels, let loose, hunted but not killed, and recaptured to use again. These few deer originally centred on Thetford Forest slowly spread throughout Norfolk and Suffolk.
You might be interested to know that what until quite recently was the UK record red stag had skull weight of 10.1kg and had the “Warnham” look about it.

I was so fortunate to follow this one stag for it whole lifetime & fortunately the game keeper where he wintered let him live on ! As you will know it’s so rare for a cracking wild stag to make it to old age going back ! I feel privileged!! Unfortunately in my area he was the last of the true wild stags he dodge so many people that wanted to shoot him!! But ya amazing weight of antlers that’s nuts !!!! Cheers again for your comments 🦌🦌
He would have had several years of being a dominant stag and passing his genes on, the same goes for the escaped hinds that carry the Warnham genes and if there are other red stags in the area there’s a good chance that the genes will reemerge in the future.
