When being an independent contractor you are your own "business" there are loans you can get to help set you up with buying the equipment you may need for the job. Another factor it's a tax write off for anything you buy that you need for work. Including a portion of all your bills at home if your office is in your home. Talk with your tax agent for more details!

Yes. It's better than no choice in the matter though. Many people need something more flexible because they don't have a set schedule due to school, being a parent, care taker, etc. It's the closest to 'working when you want' which doesn't exist. People who get on the platform have the opportunity to select roles that offer hours within the scope they need, and the schedule can be set from there. 💚

Thank you for this post. I've been looking for something part-time in addition to my part-time gig with NexRep. At the end of the month I start a full-time wfh gig. Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for reporting the different jobs available. I have signed my contract in October with Working Solutions to work with Tauck (high end travel and tours). I have to complete about less then 2 months of training. The training is not paid and the attendance is very strict. They will be paying me a siphon after the training has been completed. We go live in December. I am excited to be a contractor and not have a boss.

I tried with working solutions before and was disappointed. Well....I tried again. This time I watched the video and paid closer attention to their requirements. If you have wifi internet, get an Ethernet cord to plug in directly to your router as most jobs require "hard wired" internet. Also you will need 8 MB of RAM. This will be confirmed during the system test. If you don't use the Ethernet connection, you will be rejected

Hello, I was wondering if you knew if this was true or not but I along with other people have been applying for many jobs that we qualify for but keep getting feedback saying that the position is filled or even though we qualified for those positions, they went with someone else. My question is do you think companies are posting jobs as if they are hiring but aren't really hiring? i feel like its a numbers game and companies might be getting some sort of comp for at least posting jobs that aren't really available. Seems really strange because i'm really qualified for a lot of the jobs I've been applying for. i even improved my resume for the scanning systems and still strangely didn't get an interview.
Hi! Currently, companies are still in need for employees, so I believe the majority of job posts are for open positions. There are times, however, companies put a lead out to see what kind of feedback they get (they have flexibility when they hire for the role, and those roles are typically high paying and coveted, so they have room to be more picky.) But I don't think that's the case 9 out of 10 times. I don't know many details about your situation to be able to definitively give you advice. But generally speaking, you have to keep applying strategically and often. WFH jobs are very competitive and everyone is after the same things - flexible, high pay, no phone, etc. Keep positive and pray. It sounds like you're taking the time to strategically apply. You'll get hired. 💚
While I am not Ms. Delilah, I can tell you that your suspicion is absolutely true. I have seen the same jobs advertised since pre pandemic, during pandemic, and still listing the same jobs. I told my mother that they must be getting some type of payment from the government with restrictions such as actively looking to hire employees. It's despicable. I could go on a job board right now and pick our jobs that have been trying to hire people for 3 years. My thinking is I do not want to work for anyone that does business like that.
I was in indy contractor before. Just letting others know that turbo tax does have an option for you to do your return with that job. It sets it all up for you just follow prompts. That's what I did and I am not in debtors jail . Not an advert for them just a heads up for others. It does cost a bit of money but doesn't everything? If you don't have an accountant like me.

My slow upload and download speeds eliminate me from many positions. My area of STL does not have fiber optics installed as of yet, so the speed from ethernet internet service is slow. The internet provider cannot give me an estimated time, when fiber optics are to be installed in my area. All providers offer the same speed. I will keep an optimistic outlook and hope that I will find a work from home position. I know that there are those that do exist that don't have a required internet speed, but they are few and far between. I appreciate the content that you provide and have learned so much on my remote work journey.

Yea those refurbished items but they are given new parts and they have fixed the problem of what went wrong in the first place also there should be a warranty with it. I heard this items are are worth buying,but fo your reseach

Hi Jose. It's because some states have labor laws that make it hard to do business. For example, having a set minimum wage is one reason. If the state requires at least $15/hr, but the company doesn't pay that much, then they can't hire there. There are other reasons and I don't even know all of them since stuff is always changing.

They always have limited hours definitely not dependable as a full time or part time- they also decline some job openings.. saying your Not qualified when you actually are. I’ve been with them for some time now. The pay is twice a month.. people complain about the payments a lot. Liveops is much better, including training and support .
I tried applying to this company, but I got an email that stated my computer did not pass. My laptop is new though and since I applied before my internet download speed has increased. None of that seem to be the issue so I'm not sure why my laptop did not pass the first time

I'm so bummed they do want workers from California. Why don't a lot of the remote jobs want workers from California? We need jobs as expensive as it is here.
I'm so sorry love! But that's why they don't want to hire people remotely. Remote jobs require you to pay that state's salary and if the cost of living rates are high, then a company will most likely not engage that state. My current job is battling with allowing us to be 100% telework and some people are asking for remote work to be implemented since we have people who live outside of the 100 mile radius. The main reason for not allowing remote work as well as telework is because the organization would be required to pay those workers the rate of their living jurisdiction.

I just got a seasonal position with them and the interview is not with a person. It is strictly video answers to questions (at least for the gig I just got with them). It was not a live interview.

Each Working Solutions contract (job) pays differently and has different terms. This one pays for active time on calls, but if you stay available for the hour and you don't get many calls, you still get paid for 45 minutes of talk time.

I got an email from working solutions/ vyne. Cant rem if i applied, but i was asked to downolad an applucation on my computer to verify if i have everything required to work. This gives me Red Flag Scam vibes. Did anybody else get this?
That’s a technology check. A lot of jobs do that to verify you have the technology requirements to work for them. The scan literally will tell you if you passed or not. Some people’s computers will not pass.

I'm so bummed they do want workers from California. Why don't a lot of the remote jobs want workers from California? We need jobs as expensive as it is here.
I'm so sorry love! But that's why they don't want to hire people remotely. Remote jobs require you to pay that state's salary and if the cost of living rates are high, then a company will most likely not engage that state.
My current job is battling with allowing us to be 100% telework and some people are asking for remote work to be implemented since we have people who live outside of the 100 mile radius. The main reason for not allowing remote work as well as telework is because the organization would be required to pay those workers the rate of their living jurisdiction.
@@cedricadaniels7983 Thank you for responding. The State salary as in the minimum wage? The minimum wage is not that high here and it certainly does fit the economy here but that's another story. Those companies may be offering lower wages than 14-15 dollars per hour. I hope that you're able to achieve the telework battle at your job. Good luck

I just got a seasonal position with them and the interview is not with a person. It is strictly video answers to questions (at least for the gig I just got with them). It was not a live interview.

Each Working Solutions contract (job) pays differently and has different terms. This one pays for active time on calls, but if you stay available for the hour and you don't get many calls, you still get paid for 45 minutes of talk time.

I got an email from working solutions/ vyne. Cant rem if i applied, but i was asked to downolad an applucation on my computer to verify if i have everything required to work. This gives me Red Flag Scam vibes. Did anybody else get this?
That’s a technology check. A lot of jobs do that to verify you have the technology requirements to work for them. The scan literally will tell you if you passed or not. Some people’s computers will not pass.
