Away and Voivod are fucking legends. I have been a fan since Killing Technology came out. The new one is a great throwback to one my favorite albums Angel Rat and The Outer Limits.
I just discovered Voivod and am blown away, and excited to finally find a band sonically related to Cardiacs, Mr Bungle and The Residents. This interview was a great way to learn bits about the history and see how down to earth Away is.
This is a great interview. VOIVOD has always been a favorite of mine. I am looking forward to hearing the new album. Fingers crossed, we get a tour soon.
Arguably the greatest metal band ever. Uncompromising. My favorite part of the interview was the mention of the MCA reissue. Excellent interview I hope the Exciter and Voivod tour happens!
Awesome interview! Voivod is one of my favourite bands, the fact they’re fellow Canadians is an added bonus! Really looking forward to hearing the new album on Friday, I’ve really liked all the songs they’ve released so far.
Great interview of one of my favorite Metal personalities in my favorite Metal band. It was great to hear one of my hunches confirmed; that Probot helped reunite the band. At least 3 of the founding members anyway. I've always dug Away's art. I am very happy to hear that is going so well! Love all 3 of the new songs. I have great anticipation for the entire album. I'll definitely be there when they come to San Diego! Thanks again!
I've been a Voivoid fan since I was a kid. It was the War & Pain tape from Metal section of Camelot Music in the mall. It was so abrasive and RAW. I was hooked. They always had their own sound. Back in my younger days, it was like the extreme metal kids loved Voivod, or it went over their head.
That was a great interview. It was cool to hear him mention the Dave Grohl/Les Foufounes story. I was working with Nuclear Assault around that time. Nuke played that club and the guys in VoiVod stopped by. Away was asking me to find him a big ride cymbal like Dave was playing. Thanksgiving of 1989.
As much as I am a huge fan of a ton of metal music, I struggle to even call Voivod "metal" because I believe they transcend the genre completely. I loved hearing Away mention "the jazz" sound, that's great!
Great band, which is the main point. But also very lovely people, hanging out with the fans after playing a live show. Very unique sound, so happy to see they are doing great, they deserve it👍🏻
Can't wait for the new album. Voivod is simply the best band on the planet. It had such a massive impact on my band Krokmitën. Let's not forget how great an interviewer Daniel Dekay is, so natural and genuine, a real likeable professional. Thanks for this great interview sir.
Been a fan since Hatröss was released. Experiment was the first Voivod track I heard & from that moment it changed my life. My only criticism is I wish they would return to the classic logo because all the others are shit.
In 3 years it will be 40 years since I 1st bumped into Voivod´s music ... I worshipped these guys , still do to some extent - having said this , the way Michel Langevin´s handled the Tau Cross subject made me lose some respect for him as an individual . Great interview nonetheless , you should had addressed that subject though . I would love to hear the " Why " directly from Michel´s mouth . Cheers \m/

I have it. It's great. The album title refers to what you can expect and the first track is really good. The guitar sound is top notch.

One of my all-time favorite bands ever. Would be so awesome to see VoiVod/Exciter tour of USA!
This is my favourite voivod album hands down
So stoked for the new record. Voivod!
I am so looking forward to the album

One of my all-time favorite bands! It's really cool to hear Away talk about Voivod stuff.

Bravo Away! Light and love towards you.
Happen to be wearing my Voivod shirt today. Can’t wait for the new record and happy they chose to “carry on” with Chewy and Rocky.
Very good interview and great new album, I like it almost as much as The Wake.

thats a cool story!

Killer interview, love the Probot insights 🤘
Can't wait to blast this album!!!
Long live Michel Langevin!!!!
Great band, which is the main point. But also very lovely people, hanging out with the fans after playing a live show. Very unique sound, so happy to see they are doing great, they deserve it👍🏻
A true artist and hustler. Creativity just pours out of this guy.
The new album is soooo good guys. Voivod are incredible man, the new album is as good as anything they've wrote, seriously.

Thanks for watching!
thanks for the kind words, i'm gonna check out your band
Lendária Banda !!!!
You should add a link to buy his art!
"RRROOOAAARRR" is my favorite VoiVod album. Also i'm cool with Angel Rat.
Seriously the greatest group of all time! Piggy!
I love Voivod. When people ask me what genre of metal they are, I say Voivodian Metal because there is no other band remotely like them.
Cövod !

I though Voivod was a polish or check word for asembly or maybe relates to medieval comunal parliaments.
I can't stand Banger but love Voïvod
Move over Dave Grohl, Away is the Nicest guy in Rock! Voivod Rules!
VOIVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD........
This interview is 19 hours too short
i think Michel is a nicotine smoker. He got the same look on his skin and hair as my grandma in the 80s.
