I always enjoy gluing together shards of a ceramic dish, or shards of anything, for that matter! The pumpkin seed flasks I've seen on other bottle-digging videos have usually been clear. Nice find, and thanks for the upload, as always.
The broken bottle is one I've never seen before, great find! Matter of fact, Congratulations on lots of very interesting finds! Great video! Have a great week! Looking forward to the next videos on this dig.
Hi Julianne, as always, thank you for watching and the kind comments. Three viewers weighed on the broken mystery bottle. It is a Pumpkin Seed Whisky Flask. So there you go…a great example of what the collective power of knowledgeable minds can produce.
Hey Wolf Spirit Outdoors…you are my first viewer to comment from across the pond. Wait till I tell my wife…anyway, many thanks for taking the time to watch and comment👍👍👍
Hi, Jesse, thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. This is the benefit of “group think.” Now that Chris and I know the correct bottle ID, we’ll be able to properly label it for future viewers should we come across one again.
Palatka?? When the wife and I were in Florida last year we were not to far from you. If I had found your channel that year I would have asked if you wanted to meet and detect some. We stayed a month at Ocala North RV resort which is halfway between Ocala and Gainesville. This year we will be South and west of there though. Enjoyed the video. Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
Thanks, again👍👍👍…I mostly bottle hunt and the permissions are restrictive. I have generally been disappointed with metal detecting, particularly in Palatka, where the darn relic hunters have scoured every square inch for Civil War artifacts. In the rural areas it seems they survived by bartering…only a rare coin or two will turn up, and I have an excellent machine. Perhaps we will meet some day when you are closer to my neck of the woods. Let me know…
Hey Sonny Pate, many thanks for watching and helping with the bottle IDs. Chris and I did not have a clue about the Pumpkin Seed Whiskey. The best thing about doing this is that we learn as we go with the help of viewers like yourself.
@@relicrescueusa3803 Did you check out Digger Dave and Shoveling Shelly? You'll learn more watching him than any channel on the internet. I enjoyed the dig and am glad to help out anytime.👍☮️
Really enjoy the videos sir. I’m located in Bryceville FL, I bought a old home with 10 acres and keep finding areas on the property that seem to be bottle/trash dumps like these.
Greetings to the Thompson Family Homestead, many thanks for watching and for the kind comment. Looks like you’re in a good location. Did you have any Civil War activity in that area? Looks like your a little far north of the track Union soldiers would have taken when they moved against the Confederates at Olustee. In any case, searching your homestead for relics of the past can be great fun. Carry on and good luck.
@@relicrescueusa3803 I’m not sure if there was any civil war activity or not haven’t researched that yet. My property is located directly next too Sunowa Springs the only spring this far North In Fl that’s recorded on the Florida geological springs survey. It was the main source of water for everyone in the area in the late 1800s and early 1900s from what I’ve been told and read.
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms well, no telling what you might find with a metal detector. I am very familiar with what occurred during the Civil War in Putnam County but not up your way. Best of luck.
Hey Robert C., many thanks for watching and for weighing in with the bottle ID. Chris and I did not have a clue. But the fun of doing this is that we learn as we go-with the help of viewers.
@@relicrescueusa3803 You have been digging some nice bottles. Maybe soon, you will dig some of those rare colored drugstores from Palatka. I know there are some emerald green and possibly cobalt.
@@botldgr03 yes, I’m very aware and one day hope to come across some other than broken ones. I guess that’s why they call it “treasure hunting” not “treasure finding”😊
Beautiful bottles. Thank you for sharing

The broken bottle at the end is a pumpkinseed flask. Used heavily in the later part of the 1800s.

AB bottle is Aldolfus Bush Glass Co. They made beer bottles for many different companies. The last broken one is a Pumpkin Seed whiskey flask.👍☮️

Liquor flask? As broken piece towards end of video?
Great work, Bob and Chris! True treasure hunters.

Pumpkin seed flask on the broken bottle
